Papa John’s Pizza

On 5÷31÷2016 I purchased several items which I received after 2 follow up calls to the store and 3 hours of waiting. The pizza was cold and the toppings were not made according to the order request. The cookie was cold and the drinks were not according to the order.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! We ordered a pizza, never got a call from the delivery driver, although they claim they did. They ended up turning around and not even delivering our pizza nor did they call us to tell us that. They still charged our card. We called back and they said it would be an hour before they could deliver after we had already been waiting an hour and a half!!! Will not be going back. I didnt even want to give them one star.

They gave me 50% off for Tweeting something about pizza. Papa John’s is the worst pizza I have ever had. It is horrible. It took 75 minutes to get my pizza and it was just disgusting. Never again.

I try not to give one star because I try to give locations the benefit of the doubt. But this rating has been a long time coming. I moved to this area Nov of 2012, and immediately started using this particular Papa Johns, but for some reason the last 6 – 9 months things have gone from mediocre to bad to down right HORRIBLE! I have ALWAYS ordered online for delivery, since day one, and I have not changed my preferences since then, but this last Sunday I ordered a pizza at 4:45pm for DELIVERY. I finally get a confirmation email 20 minutes later stating that it would be 22 – 32 minutes until it was delivered. Understandable since it was a Sunday afternoon. Well… at 5:45pm NOTHING… so I called and talk to a young lady and asked her about my order and she asked if I ordered for delivery or carryout, I specifically said DELIVERY… she came back on and apologized for the delay since they were busy but it was EN ROUTE and would be HERE shortly. Fast forward to 6:45pm, I am starving by now so I called and immediately asked to speak to a manager. After being put on hold for 8 minutes, I hung up and called right back, and some guy who claimed to be a manager named Matthew rudely said «uh you order for carryout». REALLY? Ok well on YOUR website I specifically hit DELIVERY, and I had already called an HOUR before, why didn’t your staff inform me THEN that it was carryout? I can understand ordering systems sometimes have glitches, but when I called an HOUR before asking where my pizza was and your employee asked for my address, shouldnt you have informed me it was carryout?
The young lady I spoke to was really sweet but Matthew was an ASSHOLE!
This is not the first time I have had timing issues with this store. In fact, the last 4 times I have ordered pizza the quote times were off by about 45 minutes. In other words, your system SUCKS!
I love Papa Johns Pizza but I REFUSE to use this particular location ever again. Do yourself a favor and drive to another one!

Don’t expect anything you would associate with other PJ locations. Thanks to their new website, my online order forced me to choose delivery time of 10:30pm! Even tho I placed order online approx 9:15pm, AND we live literally across the st from our PJ location!!! I was forced to call the store to question, they gave me absolutely no viable alternative offer. I asked time if I p/​u, they sd 15 min. I showed up approx 20 min later & there was more confusion about my order, with no apologies whatsoever. When I arrived at shopping ctr, ALL their store lights were OUT on the marquee !! I asked why? Girl at register looked like Deer in headlights. Everyone @ this PJ was clueless. Avoid this location!!!
Order from Preston Rd & Royal Lane store any time you can!!! They are the best!!!

I should’ve looked at reviews before ordering from here! They gave us a credit for a free pizza for next time, but I really doubt I’d ever be desperate enough to come back here.
Our pizza was cold being over an hour late with the WRONG order, slices were cut unevenly, and looked like the toppings were slapped on without any f*cks given.
Bad service. Never coming back.

We had an awful experience with a young man taking our order over the phone. When we arrived to pick up our pizzas, they were not ready. We sat down to wait and the same employees continued to be hateful to all called and belittled an older woman because she couldn’t speak loud enough for him. We got or other and asked fort parmesan cheese and pepper, he pooped down 12 packets of cheese and 19 packets of red pepper while mumbling something we couldn’t understand. We will pass this on to friends and return our business to other pizza establishments.

Thanks for the cold pizza that tastes like it was made yesterday.
It took you almost 1 ½ hours to deliver and you forgot the honey mustard for the cold chicken poppers.
This will be our first and last time.

Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Had not tried papa johns in many years got desperate for pizza delivery so we gave it a shot. Got three pizzas. Bad crust, bad sauce bad toppings nasty nasty nasty. This pizza is just disgusting. Never again. Peyton Manning shame on you for selling this slop.

We’ve ordered from this location numerous times now. There is always something wrong – burnt, soggy, no sauce, skimpy toppings, etc. Today, I’ve had it! Never again.
Our BBQ Chicken pizza arrived in decent time today. However, I opened the box to find all of toppings in the two right-​hand corners and on the lid. So, I scooped all of the toppings back on the pizza. I thought the cheese looked a little strange.
The cheese was in chunks. It never even melted even though the pizza was hot. I don’t even want to know what that «cheese» was.
Papa Johns was good when it first started. I guess they have cut quality in hopes of higher profits. You would think they could turn enough profit given they even charge you a delivery free now.
I will post a picture of the slop we received today. Epic fail!

Ordered from this location a few times because they are the closest Papa John’s but no more. They just plain suck. Every delivery has had mistakes and they are not even good at being the least bit empathetic and do not compensate for inconveniences unless you demand it. I am not one to relish the thought of a free pizza, but damn… if I have to wait two hours until I get the right stuff, then what’s the point. Sucky, Sucky, Sucky

This is our go to Papa Johns Pizza location. Whenever we go in to either order a pizza or pick up an order we ordered on-​line, we were impressed with the staff and the customer service.
However, the last three or four times we have had delivery service, something has been wrong with our order. Most of the time they forget something that we have specifically paid for. It is frustrating. Whenever, this happens I call the manager and let them know what happens. They just give us 50% off the next order and don’t really fix the problem.
This would be a one star review if their pizza wasn’t so darn good!

Bad service… that says it all

My boyfriend and I were too tired to cook after a day of moving, so we ordered online about 20 minutes before they close. Even though I was clicking the appropriate box for a special on a large (and triple checked to make sure I was ordering the correct pizza) we still didn’t get the special price, but paid the full price instead. After a long day of moving, I simply wanted food and paid the $ 3 difference. Our pizza only took about 30 minutes for delivery, but the order was wrong. Not only was it wrong, the dough was actually soggy! It was disgusting, and neither one of us wanted to save the pizza for later. First bad experience with a Papa John’s. EVER.

The Pizza was good but they are too cheap to have plates like a lot of papa johns so they really dont care if you are at a hotel and dont have plates. next time I will go with pizza hut

Another reviewer commented that it might be OK if you go and order in, due to the rude and apathetic attitude you will receive on the phone.
Unfortunately, ordering in isn’t any good either. I dropped by yesterday with my girlfriend and ordered 2 pizzas for take-​out. After 20 minutes, they gave us someone else’s pizzas. We didn’t realize until later and we weren’t in a position to go back.
I am totally understanding of this sort of mistake, and was hoping they could maybe deliver the correct pizza if I were to offer to pay the delivery fee and tip generously. I called them and was put on hold by a very rude individual who then HUNG UP on me and proceeded to SCREEN my calls (I heard them pickup and set down the receiver). I called from another phone, and they promptly answered, realized who I was, and hung up on me AGAIN.
I have NEVER experienced such terrible customer service.

The only time I order Papa Johns is when the Rangers score 7 or more runs (promo code RANGERS7 for 50% off your total order). This location is pretty small, but is well equipped with taking the massive carry-​out and delivery orders after the Texan boys of Summer put up a touchdown.
The staff is always very nice and prompt and their carry-​out time estimates are always accurate. I’ve never had a problem with this store and if the Rangers offense keeps on sending bombs out to left center, I’ll keep on ordering from this location.

It may be OK if you order online. I called in and was shocked by the rude, apathetic person on the other end, especially after being put hold for 5 minutes. Will not order again from this location.
Also, what pizza joint these days doesn’t do half-​and-​half pizzas?

This is great pizza I think, much better than some of the more popular pizza competition franchise out there. I order online, and get five points for every five dollars I order. At twenty-​five points I get a free medium three topping pizza! It takes around forty-​five minutes for delivery which is normal I think.

I always get the same thing from Papa John’s Pizza — one large original crust cheese pizza. Their cheese and sauce is high-​quality and the crust is thick and tasty. I love their garlic dipping sauce.
I order online. There’s usually a wait to place an order by phone. My pizza arrives hot and within 45 minutes 90% of the time. I’ve never actually seen the business location because I always do delivery.
One caveat — the delivery time quoted in the confirmation e-​mail sent after an online order is not accurate, at least from this location. I don’t think it’s ever said anything other than «30 – 40 minutes,» and once it took over 90 minutes to receive my pizza.
Check for promotions online. Sometimes they have good deals on free breadsticks or discounts.
$ 1.99 delivery fee (not a driver tip) seems a bit excessive.
