I came here for the Eco Fest and left 5 minutes later as that was all it took to get through the exhibits. There was one food vendor and a couple of booths that info on environmentally friendly products. The people who attended seemed to all know each other. So, it was more like a church picnic than a festival. Just FYI, my rating is really more about the event than the Garden itself. It actually seemed like a nice well-kept garden and I have no knowledge of the classes offered.

Wanted to see what folks thought about Promise of Peace Garden. I noticed that there is no mention that the garden has moved. It has moved to A PARKINGLOT at the White Rock United Methodist Church off Garland Rd. They are having a fundraiser at wwwpromiseofpeace/kickstarter. You must go by and see this. The community is getting involved to serve the community. So many programs planned and the kids will benefit with classes as well as classes for adults. If you like to garden and don’t have a space at home this would be ideal for you. Cooking classes, gardening classes place to sit and have lunch when it’s finished; what’s not to like. A family activity that won’t eat your lunch. I love this idea and my family and I have been hyped up ever since we found out about it. I give it a high 5.

Great place to take a class or volunteer. We are currently enrolled in the two week intro class, a pretty good value for 30 bucks a person.
