Reunion Tower

I work for the company, Big D Metalworks, that installed the stainless steel wire mess on the outside of the Geo-​Deck. How exhilarating it was to be able to see that beautiful view 6 days a week for about a month!
We also took down the old stainless steel horizontal cables and put in the new gates so that some really brave people can go out them and replace the light bulbs on the exterior of the dome. I hope they make really good money to do that job!
We also did some demolition on the stair rail on the interior of the building. The stair goes from the turning restaurant above the Geo-​Deck down to the ground but we just demo’d from the restaurant to just below the the Geo-​Deck. Then we installed new metal stair rails and then they were painted. When the paint was dry we then installed horizontal stainless steel cables in the painted stair guardrail frames.
All and all it was a very nice project to work on and we had a great General Contractor, Beck, to work with. I hope everyone has a good experience when they go, it’s a wonderful landmark for Dallas!

Fun way to see the entire city of Dallas, but it was a bit less exciting than I hoped for. There are good views, but it’s hard to get a good picture due to many black cords covering the Windows. There is a café on the floor above where the floor moves — slowly, though enough to make you feel a little dizzy/​sick. Good idea for a touristy day in Dallas but not certain it’s worth the price.

Average just because Dallas doesn’t have that many scyscrapers. You can see the buildings by driving around some elevated highways. Very expensive unless you use the Groupon available for winter. Yes the tower itself is nice and igfers free photoshopped pictures to be emailed to you. But one by one with the different backgrounds.

Went here for the first time. Brought the kids. Figured it was something everybody ought to do at least once. A bit disappointed that the 2^nd floor was being rented out for a wedding (congrats to the couple, but sucks when you pay so much to get in and get half the experience). Regardless, everybody ought to go once. We probably spent about 1 hour total up there. Kind of expensive, but everybody ought to do it once. My kids’ favorite part was the penny machine (the kind that smashes the penny into a souvenir — but hey, it got them a souvenir for .51 cents each). And they take a picture of you on a whitescreen and you can email it to yourself for a souvenir as well. And of course it’s cool just to look out over Dallas and take some pics. It was super cold when we went so we didn’t spend much time looking out the telescopes. Good experience. Would recommend once.

I decided to spent part of my prom day here since I didn’t go the traditional prom route. My boyfriend and I started here and even though it was cloudy and rainy the view was gorgeous. It was simply breathtaking. I’m so glad that we went, I can officially cross it off my bucket list. Thank you Reunion Tower for making my prom day phenomenal!

Located in downtown Dallas, the Reunion Tower is hard to miss. I thought it would be a nice way to spend my mothers last night in town, so we headed on down, grabbed a couple tickets, took a goofy picture full of silly props, and took the elevator 470 feet to the Geodeck just as the sun was going Down.
As you walk out of the elevator, you will find a small bar, some information stations and views, views, views. You can also step outside for a better view, if it’s not too chilly. For a woman who is scared of heights, this place wasn’t bad at all. I’d recommend it if visiting the downtown area.

It was an okay experience but I will probably not go back again!!! It wasn’t ALL bad… but the bad parts are always what make the lasting impression.
The ride to the top and back down was pleasant with a very informative and entertaining elevator guide.
The views from the top were spectacular… it was great to be able to walk around, take pictures, and interact with the touch screen display and see spots of interest in the city.
I have spent a wonderful 5 days in Dallas and have experienced nothing but excellent customer service… this was the only place that I experienced poor customer service, only from the ticket desk and ticket reception area.
First of all… At the ticket counter… I asked if by chance there was a military discount. Texas being a very patriotic state, I have experienced most places support our military and offer a discount, there was none. I was perfectly fine with no for an answer; however, I was very disgusted by a sudden change in friendly demeanor, attitude and cold facial expression from the sales girl… it was horrible and that completely upset me!!!
Next was the ticket reception area… there was another female employee whom we gave our tickets to, she did not even greet us, just asked for the tickets and did not give any instructions other than to say «go ahead.»
We arrived to an area that was roped off and thankfully there was another couple there. We were both unsure of what to do and waited atleast 10 mins before someone greeted us.
When we were at the top of the geodeck, we discovered there were machines which you can purchase a photo for memorabilia… we were not even offered a photo opp!!!
Lastly, the parking machine upon exit would not let us pay… it kept saying our parking ticket was expired even though we were there for less than a hour. There were others that had the same problem and we had to wait till everyone behind us reversed before we could exit.
For the amount of money I paid per ticket… I felt as if I was cheated of a great experience!!!

Nice exhibit. One of the tallest buildings in Dallas. Great views from the top! $ 53 for 3 people seemed a little much though

Review for the Observation Deck — I loved it! I strongly recommend visiting here first before tackling anywhere other landmarks in Dallas. It’s a great way to scope the area for additional landmarks you’d want to visit and get some map orientation of the Dallas layout In addition, you can get additional tickets for tours on the landmarks you saw and at the desk.
The service was great. I loved our elevator service lady, she was hilarious and flowing with positive energy. I liked the flatscreen monitors on the observation deck that provided info on the landmark reference (s). It gave a snippet on the history of Dallas.
The only con is the «aluminum strut dome» (the outside aluminum framing) that illuminates the lights of the Reunion tower obstructs a lot of views from the deck and doesn’t feel as «open space» or as «open view» to visitors. It was difficult to take photos without the struts or safety guide wires blocking your view. That is definitely more of an architect decision (my understanding coming from an architecture and engineering firm), so I didn’t dock a point for something that was not in their hands to resolve.

One of the tallest towers in Dallas, this is a must see when you visit. If you plan to visit museums and other go to spots in Dallas, I advise to get the Dallas city pass. You can visit multiple places at a discount with the pass.
The Reunion tower gives a pretty nice view of Dallas. There’s also a rotating restaurant at the top if you choose to eat there. Come up here and take some nice pictures.

Me and my husband went here for a date night. I lived in Dallas almost my whole life and this is was my first time going here. I loved it. They gave us complimentary photos that can be emailed to your personal account. They offer military discount.

I am giving the Reunion Tower 4 stars because I think it’s a little over-​priced. However, it is a fun experience and the kids enjoyed going to the top of the tower to look at the City of Dallas. We had just left the Sixth Floor Museum so they were able to see the School Book Depository and Dealey Plaza from the tower, which was a nice point of reference.
In all, I am glad we checked it out and I am REALLY glad that it was part of our City Pass so our tickets were discounted because I would have been pretty disappointed if I had paid full price for a family of 4.
The Tower is definitely a tourist attraction, and we have done it so we can mark it off of the list. :-)

I have lived in the metroplex my whole life and have never gone up into the Tower.
When you park at the Reunion Tower you have two choices. You can park in a parking garage that costs to park there or you can valet park. It only cost $ 8 to valet for up to 4 hours. We were only going to the Geo Deck of Reunion Tower so it made sense for us to valet.
You walk into the lobby of the Hyatt Hotel and follow the signs to the Geo Deck. The tickets are a little pricy, but I think that helps keep out the riffraff. The adult tickets are $ 16 and the child tickets are $ 12.
You then go through security they check your bags and are very courteous. You then have an opportunity to take pictures with a backdrop and props.
We opted to not take our picture.
An elevator attendant takes you up to the Geo Deck where the magnificent view of the Dallas Skyline can be seen in all directions.
There are interactive touch screens that allow you to learn more about the area. I was very impressed with the whole experience. I will definitely bring out of town guests again. It was a fun experience.

You know you’re a tourist when…
My fiancé and I bought city passes for my when my mom was coming to visit. We upgraded our reunion tower pass to go both during the day and night times to really see the city and damn was it beautiful! It was absolutely a magnificent sight! If you going to buy the city pass you absolutely NEED to upgrade your ticket for only $ 5 more mind you and go at night.
However… I feel as amazing at the reunion tower was, it wasn’t as impressive for the initial cost. Holy crap. If it wasn’t for the city pass and doing all the other things I definitely wouldn’t have spent that amount of money to ride an elevator.
I don’t know, it’s kind of a catch 22. Don’t bother spending the money unless you’re doing the city pass but make sure you upgrade for the 5 extra dollars and go back at night cause that’s what floored me! Or just go the once at night and save the $ 5.

Reunion Tower is one of my absolute favorite touristy spots. It is a must, whether or not you’re from Dallas.
I have been visiting the observation since I was a teenager. I remember the first time I truly fell in love with the Dallas skyline. It is literally breathtaking from up there.
I had dined at the previous restaurant before 560. I have lunched at Cloud 9 during the day. It’s absolutely cool from those views because you will make an entire rotation in an hour during the course of a meal. –Just don’t leave your purse on the window sill!
They take your picture before you head up to the deck. You have the option to purchase prints or email them to yourself. It’s quirky but fun, especially since they have props and you’re standing in front of a green screen.
I also suggest using the telescopes while on the deck! I felt like a total creeper watching a man sitting at his office desk from an adjacent building, but the fact that they have these industrial telescopes is really cool.
You may feel it overpriced, but the sight is truly captivating. My favorite time is to go at night. Take friends or family, take a loved one! Your conversations trail off as you take in the view and you’re left with this harmonious silence. It’s definitely my favorite view of the city.

Reunion Tower is an overpriced and touristy must-​do. There’s Five-​Sixty, an upscale restaurant, and GeoDeck, the observatory floor with a 360 degree view of Dallas. We weren’t dressed for Five-​Sixty sadly and went for the latter option. I heard they both have fantastic views.
The GeODeck at Reunion Tower is different from other observation decks in that:
— your photos (set against a computerized background and taken before the elevator ride up) are FREE to view and email in any of the self-​check kiosks upstairs
— additionally accessible via an underground tunnel, which made it an easy walk from the Omni Hotel (or Union Station)
— engaging elevator staff who asks the group short trivia questions about the Reunion Tower

If it weren’t for the CityPASS already giving me three destinations that I was already planning to go, I wouldn’t have went to Reunion Tower. It’s just another observatory, right? After going up there though, I was so glad that I made the trip and definitely would return next time I’m in Dallas! Located close enough to downtown but far enough not to be obstructed by tall buildings, the GeO Observatory of Reunion Tower offers a spectacular view of the downtown Dallas skyline, an interesting bird’s eye view of the highway system, and a great overview of the greater Dallas metropolis!
Aside from its 360 degree view, the observatory also has few interactive screens for you to pinpoint and locate points of interest and even control live camera feeds at all four cardinal location. If you are willing to splurge, the restaurant on top is also a great dining experience in the stellar skyline (Seems like many locals like to take their dates there when I was there). I would recommend this as a must-​go destination for all Dallas tourist as the skyline is also the city’s biggest attraction. Go in the afternoon prior to sunset or at nighttime to see the skyline at its best!

Not really worth the $ 16/​ticket + tax (and $ 6 to park) unless you’re planning on spending a good amount of time here. My coworker and I came on a Wednesday night since we were in Dallas for a work trip, and it was pretty empty around 6:30pm. We paid and went up the elevator, then walked around the observation deck and took pictures (

)) for a while (about 10 minutes). The skyline was pretty, but since it doesn’t get dark in the summer until after the Tower closes, you won’t be able to see or take a photo of the buildings with the lights on.
We then walked up a flight of stairs to Cloud 9 (you can opt to take the elevator instead, but you usually have to wait a bit), which is a little café that sells food/​snacks in addition to beer/​wine and other drinks. They also serve cooked items, but the kitchen was closed by the time we got up there. The outside part of the café rotates 360 degrees (very very slowly), so you can have a conversation and look up periodically to see different views of Dallas. I got a little dizzy looking at the floor, so you might want to avoid this café if you have motion sickness.
Overall, there wasn’t that much to do at Reunion Tower, so I definitely wouldn’t pay to go again. However, it was interesting to check it out once (hopefully you get to see the view at night).

Great spot to go with out of town guests. Definitely buy the Dallas City Pass, which includes a ticket to this.
The workers are very friendly and can tell you about all the buildings in the dallas skyline.
Electronic version of your green screen photo is free, but if you want print outs, you’ll have to pay for those (but the price is good)

I’m going to be biased because I love Dallas and I have been wanting to go to this tower all my life. I finally got the opportunity to come here at sunset to soak in the view on Vday. The view is honestly breathtaking and I highly encourage you to take a lot of photos. They do have a those touristy photo-​ops so don’t forget to check out the photo kiosk to email a copy to yourself for free :)
Getting to the tower was very simple and easy– parking however can truly be a pain, just suck it up and get valet and remember to get it validated at the restaurant to save on costs: D
I wouldn’t pay full price to check out the view — there’s usually a Groupon deal or a Livingsocial deal to help with the cost.
I really enjoyed my time at the tower, it was enjoyable taking photos and soaking in the view. I’m happy to have been able to cross this off my bucket list :)
