This site provides a great view of the city of Dallas, TX. Particularly interesting during the sunset. Warning quite difficult to access by car during the busy days. From this point you can have stunning views across the city. Access is very easy, with car.

This is such a gem of a little store. Stopped by while in Dallas for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Don’t go expecting a museum… it’s small and cramped, but for me that just added to the charm. I went to get a few of my oldish books looked at and the man who met with me was very informed and I learned a lot from him. He wasn’t there when I arrived, but the men in the Jackson Armory(shared ownership and entrance) were extremely nice and I definitely didn’t mind poking around in all the antique firearms while waiting! Just for perspective’s sake — I am a very low-key ‘collector’ of antique books so I can’t comment on their pricing or collection with much intelligence. I only know that it was a fascinating place full of seemingly well-versed people who were very kind and accommodating to my curiosity. Swing by and enjoy some relaxed time there! :-)

It’s a small brick house. You hit the buzzer and someone inside opens the door for you. I know it’s called Rosedale Rare Books, but the books didn’t seem particularly rare or remarkable to me. The bookstore itself is just a tiny little place, maybe half the size of a bedroom, walled with bookshelves with a computer desk in the middle. It’s barely wide enough for one person. On the other hand, they have a huge collection of antique firearms. That’s what you should be going to see. I don’t know much about that sort of thing, but it looked great.

They have a great collection of rare books. But the gun collection us more impressive.
