This has to be one of my favorite places to eat in the Casa Linda area. The food is always delicious and the service is always pleasant and good. The pizza is one of my go to items. Even just a plain cheese pizza is just right at Sali’s. The fettuccini primavera is another delicious dish for those times I don’t want pizza. At our house when we get Italian elsewhere it’s always compared to Sali’s.

We had Sali’s yesterday and came away pretty disappointed. Honestly, it comes down to the cheapness of the restaurant rather than the quality of the food. When you order takeout or dine-in, your portions should be equal to your pricing in that you should feel you’re getting value for your money. Obviously there are exceptions to this, like when you’re eating at a fine dining establishment, but when you’re eating at a place that is mainly $ 10 a person, you should expect the money-to-portion value to be decent, not embarrassing. For $ 8, you should get more than 4 small raviolis in a dish. For $ 1.50, you should get more than half a sausage link that is then cut in half to make 2 pieces. For $ 9, you should get more baked ziti than 4 – 5 fork’s full worth. Seriously, it feels like you’re giving your money away at this place for appetizer-sized portions at their full dinner pricing. The food is good, the problem is they don’t give enough of it to justify their price or your business. Unfortunate, really.

Great pizza and you don’t have to feel bad if you want to walk in with a cooler with Coors Lite instead of an expensive bottle of wine. I’ve had the fried pickles and fried mozzarella so far and they haven’t wowed me. But the pizza is amazing.

We ordered take out last Friday and loved our food! We each tossed salad to start with house dressing… Ok, basically just lettuce and a large tomato you could cut up with a peperoncini. Dressing was good though. We ordered a large cheese pizza well done and it was really good! Not too much sauce and just the right amount of cheese. Crust was delicious. My in-laws got linguini with marinara and vegetables, which was not on the menu but the to go person worked with me and we were able to get them just what they wanted and they loved it! We will be back! Yum!

I tend to judge Italian places by their red sauce and Sali’s has an A+ one. The food is great — big portions for the price. They’re also BYOB. We’ve never been disappointed with the service — they notice if your water/soda glass needs refilling and check on you periodically. Definitely one of our favorite places for Italian!

I have rediscovered Salis’s a nice Italian Resturant I haven’t been to in years. The food and service are both very good. I enjoyed my lunch special very much. I had the Manicotti it came with a very fresh green salad and a hot dinner roll. For only $ 6.49. They have several lunch specials available from 11 – 3 Tuesday — Saturday. They also have a nice dinner menu, I will definitely be back to try the rest.

Mediocre spaghetti and service. This is not the Sali’s from years ago. Remember the huge mozzarella sticks and amazing rolls and sauce? Well, it’s not there anymore. This place is hurting, and I wish them the best however, the name needs to change. They are not representing what Sali’s used to bring to the table. You can still enjoy Sali’s food at their other location in Garland of belt line.

Great Fresh Pizza The ingredients are top quality — no canned mushrooms here! Why fly to New York when you can get a great pizza near White Rock Lake. Easy parking and great service. We only come here for our pizza now.

This has become our favorite place for pizza! The crust is the best I’ve had, thin and oh so crispy. Toppings are generous and not overloaded with cheese. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable and BYOB works well for us! Gotta try this place for NY style pizza!

Don’t go here. Terrible service. Taking 10 minutes to bring silverware after salads are put on table. Walking away with drinking glass for refill and not coming back for 20 minutes. And it ended with being served the wrong entrée that took way too long in the first place. After being there an hour and being served the wrong entrée we notified management(a second time) and walked out. The crazy thing is that they weren’t busy either.

I have NO idea why people are putting 5 stars. Someone must be putting a gun to your head to put that many stars for such a shite restaurant. The ONLY reason I am giving this 2 is because our server was very attentive and nice. Brittany. Our salad dressing tasted like watery ketchup. It was disgusting but the only thing I ate out of everything. All of our dishes were drowned in marinara sauce and if you have to put salt on an Italian dish, you are doing something very wrong in my opinion. The bread was tasteless, my egg plant«thing» was absolutely disgusting so I ordered meatballs. That tasted like like dog food so when I went home, I fed both dogs our leftovers. :)

We stumbled upon Sali’s last night and absolutely loved it! Normally we’d pop into Goodfriend, the burger joint around the corner, but we were craving pizza and we found this spot on Urbanspoon. The pizza was so delicious(I just crushed the leftovers for lunch) and I loved that the wine was on the house since we didn’t know it was BYOB! The patio is adorable, and we appreciated that Sali’s is dog-friendly. Loved it — will definitely be back!

New management, food is great! Salad is the best I’ve found at an Italian place, all greens and no iceberg! Spaghetti and meatballs was wonderful. One of my go to places for good reasonable Italian food. Don’t forget the Italian wedding cake!

My wife and I had not been to Sali’s in over a year for a number of reasons none of which involved the food. We were delighted with the changes. My wife’s fave, Eggplant Florentine, was as good as ever. I ventured outside my comfort zone and got a chicken pasta dish but the name escapes me. First bite was pretty good but the more I ate the better it tasted. It had bow tie pasta, chicken, olive oil, pine nuts, and other good stuff. More please. They now have a more limited lunch menu and the senior menu appears to have disappeared. But the food is still well prepared, fairly priced, and the house salad dressing and hot rolls are as good as ever. We did try the appetizer sampler which was good but be warned it was all deep fried. Our waiter, Curtis, was charming and very helpful. Good service without being overbearing. This guy seems to love his job and that makes the dining experience all the better. The menu has the old standbys and some new additions. I do, however, miss the guy tossing the pizza crust. Maybe he had the night off.

Love you Sali’s R.I.P. It’s unfortunate that the thrift store finally ran ya’ll out of the building. Best damn house dressing around for real. I’ll miss this place.

They are closing! This Sunday is their last day, and I am so sad because this was the first time I’d ever been there, and they are so good! In fact, I plan on returning for lunch again before they close. Seems like the owners(?)/thrift place next door want to do some expanding into their little section of the strip, and Sali’s has no place to go(or money perhaps?) so they’re just out. The Cheese pizza is a delicious thin crust style pizza. I ordered the lemon shrimp linguine– came with large capers but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the delicious and simple pasta.

Well, it’s been a long while since I was here, maybe 15 years? They are still in business so they are doing something right. My main motivation for returning was a coupon from and the lingering doubt that I was young and naïve the first time I was here many years ago. Alas, I was young then but apparently not naïve. To begin: the ambiance is dated! This restaurant needs to be on Restaurant Impossible for a two-day $ 10,000 renovation to bring it into the 21st century. Everything is old and worn. The plate I was given had a huge chip in it. The carpet was worn out in about 1995. The first booth we sat in was ripped and almost sank to the floor when we sat down. The décor and overall feel is just old. Some call it a hole in the wall in an endearing way. I would just say it tends toward being a hole. The food: oddest pizza we ever had. Got a medium canadian bacon, mushroom, and fresh tomato, thin crust. The crust came out white as enriched flour. Not a speck of color. Really kind of a turn off. Was the oven not hot enough? Not cooked long enough? Who knows? I have never seen a pizza with a white crust before. The tomatoes came on a separate plate for reasons that were explained but I did not understand. No biggie. The biggest flaw was the almost complete lack of flavor. The crust was reasonably thin and the toppings were ok but not really generous. But the color and taste were a disappointment. Compared to the really good pizza places in Dallas this one left us flat. The wife said it was the worst pizza she ever had, which is a bit harsh but I get the sentiment. We also got lobster ravioli which was ok but again oddly lacking in flavor. Why did it have pepperoni in the sauce on the side? The third dish was eggplant parmesan and it too was just average, really not much taste. The entrees, ravioli and eggplant, came with salad and the house dressing is very good but don’t use too much! The entrees also came with bread but the exterior was oldish; if you dig deeper the bread was quite good. Service: we obviously had a young man who was in his first day or first week. Bless his heart, he was really trying to do a good job. It was great to see such genuine effort. Word to the wise: you don’t ask people if they want dessert after the bill has been settled and the credit card charged. Overall: I am starting to think that only enrolls restaurants that are at best mediocre and that are trying to drum up some business. I would not return to this restaurant with our without a coupon, even though the prices are extremely reasonable(even downright cheap). You get what you pay for. How anyone could give this place more than 3 stars is beyond me(the wife said I should give it 2 and reminded me that I always agree with her). But then again, it’s been around for 20 years or more so I guess they are pleasing some people.

LOVETHISPLACE! It’s a gem in Lake Highlands. I’ve eaten here a few times and I must say, I love all the pasta. I’ve had several dishes and none of them have tasted anything but delicious! The baked ziti is fantastic and one of my favorites. The baked, cheese-filled tortellini is awesome and topped with fresh mozzarella bufala. The baked lasagna is perfect with spicy meat, three cheeses and layers of hearty pasta. I would highly recommend the house Italian dressing with your salad, which is iceberg lettuce, a tomato wedge and pepperoncini. The Italian dressing really makes the salad; it’s the hearty, red, tomato-y Italian dressing with oil and herbs. Who wouldn’t love that?! I haven’t tried their pizzas but that’s next on the list. They have a special Sali’s Pizza that looks and sounds amazing. They have delightful, cheery service and everyone is very attentive. A top recommendation for genuine Italian food in Dallas!
