Salon Purple Dallas

I just moved and needed a new stylist, so tried this place because of the Unilocal reviews. He canceled my first appointment, but was very polite about it. For my rescheduled appointment, I had to roam around the house looking for him because there’s no reception area and no one comes to check who just walked in. He said he was running behind and suggested I go kill time at Starbucks. He said 20 minutes, but 25 minutes later he was still busy… with another lady! Finally, he gave me a terrible trim on my short cut; you can see for yourself in the photo section. The awfulness was not apparent until I got home, showered, and restyled. Maybe he’s great with long hair, but he gave my short hair a hack job. I’ve had awesome short hair for 2 years, cut by 3 people, so this is not about me asking for the wrong thing or first-​time-​going-​short shock. I can kinda hide the damage by styling it, but I’m pissed that I waited so long and paid so much for this! We talked about Unilocal so I know he reads these; sorry Foy but this is awful. Please get way better with short hair or just don’t do it at all.

My hair is super curly and Foy did an ombré and blow dry and he did an amazing job. I’m usually super scared to get my hair dyed by people buy he did a great job. I’m so happy with it.

AMAZING!!! Foy is by far the most excellent cut/​colorist in all of Uptown. He takes the time to pay attention to details and works magic on my hair to suit my face and frame.
I’ve tried so many other stylists when I moved here and can say that he is hands-​up the best quality stylist and at great rates that a young working professional can afford. You’ll end up looking like a million bucks.

I’m usually very hesitant with changing hair stylists, but Foy is one that I won’t change for. When you walk in it’s very comfortable and quaint. I wanted a different look with a new adventurist color and Foy made that happen. He was not only very honest, but he gave me some hair tips to try at home. I’d recommend this to woman who are seeking a hair transformation.

Okay, I have had a love/​hate relationship with my head of thin, straight, boring hair. Until a few months ago. I met Foy, my savior, a few months ago. He is magical. Not only a lovely man who I love having «therapy» sessions with (because who doesn’t confide in their beloved hairstylist??), but completely intuitive on how a head of hair should make the wearer feel beautiful! He also is a magician with mineralogie make-​up and jazzed about trying new things! I suggest that anyone tries him out. He’s the real deal.

Foy is am amazing hair stylist, really knows his way around color! I would recomment him to anyone, you will be pleased and will never want to go anywhere else! The ONLY reason I don’t go to him everytime is because I live about 100 miles away but when I do go its well worth the drive!

I love the Salon Purple. It’s a little off the beaten path, but in a quaint historic home in Uptown. Not difficult to find. It’s nice to go in and tell Foy «make me beautiful» and he does. I trust them completely to make my hair look good whether its just a cut or a full highlight. Highly recommend… you can’t go wrong with this place. Very happy.
