I’ve used Unilocal for quite a while and for most things. Honestly, this is my first review, ever. I just had to rave about my Lash Lift and Tint! I have only found about about this service last week on a cruise, so thought I’d look up where to get it done in Dallas. I’m so happy I found Stephanie! She answered all my questions, put me at ease describing the process, and was able to fit me in same day. The spa is small, quaint, inviting and comfortable. And you can’t beat the location… in Bishop Arts. My lashes look extraordinary! NEVER have they looked this good with curling and mascara. I will definitely be back!

I came upon this place just dining in Bishop Arts and started with massages and now I go for massages, lash lift & tint(which I LOVE) and facials ! I LOVE it here !!! Stephanie is the BEST, she’s makes you feel so at ease no other place I’d go to. I’m Customer for Life and even bringing my daughters to enjoy spa days with me now :)

I don’t usually take time to write a review, but Stephanie and her service is definitely deserving. I have had several facials done here for 5 years now. Stephanie is very knowledgeable about her profession, products used and always takes her time to make sure what fits my skin type. She always gives me quality service and makes sure I understand what my service includes, the benefits of the facial given and the care I need to followup with. Being a small spa, its very cozy, clean, and quiet… it makes me feel like a special client every time! Stephanie offers great specials and variety on her facials and always makes sure I am aware of them through emails. I wouldn’t go any other place! So glad I found her for my skin needs.

I’m so excited I decided to try this place, I had been going to Uptown for waxing service. Jennifer is fantastic! And half price waxing on Tues and Thur is a giant bonus. I LOVE the way Jennifer did my brows. With evening hours and being able to book on-line, I’m a repeat customer!

Sad, I wanted to like this day spa because I love the Bishop arts District. This started off rough with the front door being locked until 5 minutes after my appointment time. I don’t know if they forgot or were just running late, but making a client wait outside is not a good start. When I came inside, the masseuse was on the phone with someone else… so I’m not a special client, I get it! The room ambiance was lacking with smooth jazz blaring over the sound system. When she asked if I liked the music or wanted to change to ocean music, I gladly asked her to change it, only to be surprised by ocean waves blaring… turn the sound down, already… this is supposed to be a relaxing experience, not a concert. The thing that really ruined it was when I undressed and didn’t have anywhere to put my clothes but on the floor and that’s when I saw it… MOLD! In the grout tile floor… MOLD! Gross!!! Plus the room was freezing, not heater on the table, every time the masseuse uncovered my leg, arm or back, I froze. And then there was the towel issue… I love a warm heated towel on my bag to ease my muscles, but this towel was sopping wet and dripped all down my sides, leaving a soppy wet mess on the table for me to lie in… which got kinda cold since the room was freezing. When I turned over and she put the cucumber wrap on the eyes, I keeps getting surprised by the cold water dripping down my face into my ear, it was very distracting while she was massaging my leg, all I remember is the shock of cold drops in my ears… note: wring out the towels before placing them on the client. The only saving grace is the paraffin wax on the feet during the massage, that was nice. Oh, and I told her I had plans after and needed to stop on time even though she started late and she did not get me out on time, so I had to apologize to my meeting for being late. Bummer… I paid $ 75 and felt frustrated and dirty from stepping on the moldy floor when I left. So much for relaxing. I won’t be back.

Love Stephanie and all her staff. I’ve tried the brow wax, facial including microderm, massage and want to do the lash extensions next. They always have great specials and friendly service.

I had a nice experience with a brow wax. The room was calm, and I was able to bring my baby in with me, which is always a plus. The girl that did my brows was really friendly and thorough. The only thing I did notice, however, was that the place wasn’t very clean– there was quite a bit of dust on the shelves in the waiting area, and the floors needed to be mopped. Also, make sure you book an appointment, as parking on this street is a mess, and the salon has only 3 spots out front.

I bought a certificate for a brow wax & design during a street fair in Bishop Arts. It was a good deal to try the service. Since then, I have gone back for their half-off wax special on certain days. They use hard wax, which hurts much less and requires more expertise. Stephanie is very sweet, and I like trying independent businesses. I have tried a few other wax places in the last year in Dallas, and this is the only one I have gone back to, even though I live nowhere near this area! They also have online booking, which I love. Give it a shot!

Loved my experience there despite what Stephanie and her assistant heard during my «service». ;-) She waxed me. hee hee… Stephanie was such a pleasure to work with and I already have my next appointment booked! And you have got to check out her awesome deals!

I love supporting independent businesses(I also love a deal – 50% off on Thursdays), so decided to try out the«routine maintenance treatment»(i.e. plain olé’ facial). For these reasons, I was pretty disappointed with the service: 1. The facial is listed as a «60 minute» treatment. I was dressed and checked out 40 minutes after the facial began. 2. There was no steam machine. Maybe not all facials use steam, but I’ve never had one without it. 3. The technician used so much pressure rubbing my temples that one day later they are sore to the touch. The technician was very kind, but that is not enough to make me go back.

So I had a little hangover after going to the Pin Show last night. What to do? I needed some serious coddling so I hit the newest addition to the Bishop Arts District. They offer facials of all sorts and other services like eye lash extensions, massages and waxing. Due to the hangover, I opted for the«Squeaky Clean» facial which is a facial and OH so much more! It, as the name implies, gets your face(which I thought was clean) squeaky clean. While you are resting in your pumpkin mask, you are getting hand and foot massages with the most delicious smelling lotions ever. Included in this service was a head massage… goodbye hangover and hello super clean and exfoliated face!
