Ive only been here once, but I did love it. This has to be one of the best workouts for people that are busy, You can make it in and out in about 30 minutes. They do require you to wear a heart rate monitor to make sure you are not slacking and getting the most out of your workout. The teacher of the class was very helpful with making sure I used correct form during class. This place is pricey, but I would consider it a cheaper alternative to personal training. At the end of class you are rewarded with an cold towel which feels amazing. They also have a fully stocked locker room with complimentary towel service so you can speed back to your life after class.

I was really excited to find a workout facility that I thought I was going to like. The concept is great. They have exercise equipment which provides high intensity workout in 30 minutes which gets your heart rate up and works your muscles with resistance. The machines work with your strength level and you do not have to mess with changing weight amounts or worry about the possibility of getting hurt. There are two trainers on the floor monitoring the heart rates of everyone and instructing you on what to do and when to change machines. Problem for me is that I have a really high stress job and am looking for a workout that is quick, effective and won’t stress me out more. I do not work out at gyms typically because the hyper atmosphere makes me feel more stressed when I leave than before I walked in. This is what happened the second visit to Speedflex. A different instructor was in charge of music. It was so loud and intense that I could not hear the trainer next to me telling me what to do. I asked that the music be turned down and maybe they could not hear either, but they did not do it. I repeatedly told the trainer I could not hear him. Finally about 15 minutes in, I left. My heart rate was off the chart from stress. If you like the high intensity hyper loud music, I recommend this place as a great safe workout facility. If you do not care for that atmosphere, this is not the place for you. Their facility is in Preston Center which is surrounded by a lot of residents who are over 40. I think they need to wise up on what they are offering to an older population. Their fees are extremely high. Younger people who are less able to pay the high fees is who that atmosphere would appeal to. They did refund my money.
