Best donuts in Dallas! Chocolate iced glazed do uts are my fav. Try the donut holes right out of the oven. Yum! And their sausage kolaches, especially the crossiant ones, are amazing! They will warm them up for you, too.

I will preface by saying it is National Donut Day so by the time I got there at 8:15, they were low on selection. The very nice attendant said she could put together an assorted dozen. I liked that they had coffee creamer but no sugar substitute. When I asked her why an assorted dozen and one coffee was almost $ 16, she said she had to put in the big pastries to make the dozen. When I told her that I wasn’t expecting that she just smiled and said«thank you, have a nice day» and proceeded to help the next person. Didn’t appreciate the misdirect and the donuts were okay.

This is the cleanest, most moderately-priced doughnut shop nearest to my home. I often come here when caught up in a desperate situation of avoiding to cook breakfast when we have family visit. They are friendly, the food is fresh and they have yet to upset me. My family loves their chocolate covered doughnut with rainbow sprinkles. It’s apparently their«must have».

The cashier was super friendly and even gave me a free doughnut. The kolaches were good and fresh which is soo much better than when you go to a doughnut place that just heats up old ones that were made hours ago. The only negative thing I can think of is that their doughnut selection was a little limited when I got here at 9:00. Overall great local doughnut shop.

Super donuts done old school and unapologetically simple. I cannot attest to how they’re routinely done, but when I arrived this morning at 8:00, the clerk asked if I minded waiting 2 minutes for glazed. She came back about a minute later with hot glazed, crispy and dripping with sugary glaze. Awesome! I ordered a fresh(but not hot) cinnamon roll from the case, which was perfect. Soft and doughy on the inside with a little crispness but not overdone on the outside. Not too oily, but enough to be a decadent and unhealthy indulgence like a donut should be. The typical stuff was in the case – sprinkles for the kiddies, chocolate frosted, and(to remind me I was in Dallas) a huge assortment of kolaches.

Sun Donuts is less than a mile away from my place and yet I’ve never had a chance to visit them during their business hours. I just happened to be up early on a Saturday(and not headed to the gym lol) and decided to stop by. Sun Donuts must be a neighborhood favorite because there were families and in and out as I pulled up. Everyone was friendly and service was pretty fast too, I think they had about three or four workers bagging donuts, cashing out customers and taking new orders. I got my favorite — blueberry cake donut and a half dozen donut holes with a Starbucks iced coffee. No complaints here — everything was just what I wanted it to be! I glanced over the menu and didn’t see anything that looked over priced or different from any other mom/pop donut shop in the area so I’d say it’s reasonably priced as well. If I can(and I feel like the extra calories) I’ll definitely stop by Sun Donuts again.
