Taco Stop is a little taco shack with some great little tacos. Order at the window, and it’s all outdoor seating. Most of their picnic tables enclosed with plastic walls and roof, so it stays comfortable. I had 2 chicken tinga tacos and 2 carnitas tacos. This is your standard awesome Mexican street taco style, corn tortillas, cilantro, onion, and lime. The chicken was decent, it wasn’t as spicy as I’d like and a little bit dry. The carnitas were great, that’s my favorite taco filling so I’m a tough critic. They were a nicely shredded, juicy, and with nice little crispy bits that come with proper carnitas. They have multiple aguas frescas, I had tamarindo and it was the nice bitter-sweet tamarind taste, not to sugary like the bottled style. The taco prices are right on target with prices around town. I’ll be back, and I’ll have more carnitas, just might skip the chicken.

My favorite place for a quick, inexpensive lunch. I get the veggie taco trio and a horchata, and I’m stuffed for under $ 8.

I hate to downgrade my rating of Taco Stop; my previous review was 5 stars, best street tacos in Dallas. So for me to drop it to a two is not without consideration. Why the downgrade? In a word, mismanagement. For the fourth consecutive visit(over the course of a couple of months) my food has not been prepared as I ordered it. As part of my trio, I almost always order at least one prime rib taco, with cheese, without onions. Simple enough, I have ordered them this way a dozen times without issue. Unfortunately, the magic onions have magically appeared in my tacos on four consecutive visits. Once was an aberration. Twice was annoying. The third time made me wonder about the management of the establishment. Is the man who took over order taking from the woman taking them properly? Does the cook not know how to read the order card? Is the cook neglecting to read the order card? Or perhaps have they decided they will no longer accommodate personalization? So I went for lunch yesterday and at the window asked politely if it was possible to order prime rib tacos without onions. The man said sure. So I ordered a trio consisting of two prime rib tacos without onions and one pork carnitas taco. I then asked if I could add cheese to all three tacos. The man said sure. He asked ‘flour or corn’ and that completed the order. I paid attention, and he seemed to be making notes on the order card for each request. Five minutes later, the order came out. Two prime rib tacos, loaded with onions, and one pork carnitas. And to add insult to incompetence, all three tacos came without cheese(that I paid extra for, by the way). WTF Taco Stop. I’m sure I’ll be back, I’m just not sure when. Unfortunately, I’m also not sure if you’ll get my order correct.

The chicken alambre tacos are the best! The breakfast tacos are killer. The service is a bit slow in the monring. There is usually one person working, so I would call your order in ahead if you are in a rush.

Fresh. Cheap. Quick. Flavorful. Any day you are in the Dallas Design district and the weather is blue skies and 70’s you need to be here. Outdoor dining only– food is totally worth it no matter the weather just sayn’ a beautiful day with a Taco Stop, well, stop goes from beautiful to nearly perfect in just one bite. Tacos are made to order fresh ingredients you choose corn or flour tortilla’s. Taco size is about 3 bites unless you are a Cowboy OL then maybe 1? At $ 1.90 each you can get your fill without breaking the bank. Breakfast tacos served daily til 10:30. Lunch til 3.

What a fun find! It is amazing what unique little eateries you can find in Dallas if you just look hard enough. This clean, fun-colored, petite taco stand is a hidden gem and should be taken advantage of by any taco-lover. I got there 3 tacos for $ 5 deal and I can say the only thing I regret is that I didn’t get more! I had the brisket tacos on corn and some extra cilantro with the green sauce. They were delicious. Not overly greasy, but fresh tasting and hot off the grill. The next step is to get the breakfast tacos, I have heard they are great. The seating is all outdoor with some minimal sun coverage, so definitely choose a cool day to go. Or grab them and head back to work, they taste just as good. ~I came, I saw, I ate~

This is the first time I’ve had tacos so bland that I couldn’t even eat the rest of it. Their barbacoa has barely any flavor. Their chicken is even worse. Salsas did not even improve the flavors. Do not come here if you want authentic street tacos. Maybe I should have gotten the prime rib like everyone else suggested, but they were sold out by 12PM.

Tiny tasty tacos, go for 3! Horchata is delightful as well. I’ve only tried the breakfast tacos and we prefer the flour ones. Quick stop for tasty authentic tacos.

The tacos are OK but the staff(even the owner) are pretty consistently unfriendly. Curt at best and rude at worst. They only serve breakfast tacos until 10:30am during the week, have no steak or beef tacos, no fish tacos, and are closed on Sundays. Again, the tacos aren’t bad but given how much business I’ve given them, it’d be nice if I got an occasional warm greeting or hell, even a smile. Lastly, they *desperately* need to power wash the patio and green picnic tables.

This place is good. I tried out four different kinds of tacos, the Al Pastor being the most notable. I like the set up. You drive up, park, order your tacos, sit down and eat. No fuss. The meat and marinades were good but nothing to want me to go out of my way to come here. If it’s on the way, it’s convenient and maybe I’ll stop by.

Taco Stop: where the sauce is literally weak. Tacos come with red and green salsas, and both salsas had zero flavor or heat. Speaking of the tacos, I’ve been on a taco binge lately, and Taco Stop is the bottom rung of the taco ladder. Aside from being tiny, these tacos are remarkably bland. Lunch tacos come in six varieties. We ordered the barbacoa, carnitas, and the chicken little. The chicken little was supposed to come with bell peppers and onions, but it only had chicken. The chicken looked gross, so I did not eat it. My BF did and he’s alive, so that’s a plus. The barbacoa taco was a bit dry. The meat tasted OK, but again, there was supposed to be pico and lime with that taco, and there was only a lime. The pork carnitas taco was dry and flavorless. Additionally, lime, onions, and cilantro are not options here, and there are no al pastor tacos offered on the menu. These tiny tacos are $ 1.90 each. It’s $ 5.60 for the trio, which saves you a whopping 10 cents. Based on the other reviews, it looks like the menu changed. Perhaps this place used to be good. Honestly, instead of eating here, drive down the street to Fuel City or Los Lupes. Get some flavor with your calories.

Perfect little pit stop for some yummo tacos! Its super easy to find(just look for the big red roof that says TACOSTOP! They open early, so go git you some early mornin’ grub!(I see hangover food in my future). Solid in taste, but falls short on portion. They are super small, but again, delicious! On one hand, they are only $ 1.75 per taco, but you could literally eat 10 of them… no? Just me? Ok then. The breakfast ones all come with egg and then you can pick whatever you want, chorizo, bacon, cheese, potatoes, grilled veggies… the combinations are endless! The lunch ones, chicken, beef, carnitas, you know the usual. You can pre-order party platters or just order a la carte for you and your best pals. The salsa’s are delish as well. I ended up spending almost $ 26 on 12 tacos, which I thought was a little much for the portion. However if you think about it, traditional street tacos are small, so I’m not really sure what I’m complaining about. This review is a mess. Bottom line, the tacos are good. Go eat. Olé!

How have I not noticed this cute little taco stand in the design district? The outdoor seating and, well, the promise of tacos beckoned me to make a detour in the taco stand’s parking lot. As others have mentioned, the tacos are TINY and you don’t get the usual 2nd tortilla(you know, so you can make an extra taco for free) tucked beneath your taco like at other taco stands. But what they lack in size, the make up for with big flavor! The salsas(red and green) are«muy caliente» and the meat selections are limited but tasty and fresh! My only problem was that my tacos were shellacked in oil. And I wasn’t allowed to get my chicken taco without onions(although the onion was good on the final product). If I’m in the area, I will definitely stop in when I need a taco fix!

A hidden gem. I had seen this place many times, and I was definitely curious. Seems I’m not the only one, every table was occupied. The tacos are small and made quick. Order at the window and grab a picnic bench. Don’t forget to get a Mexican coke, and you are good to go!

Omg… these tacos are amazing! This taco shop is walking distance from my job and I think it will be on a weekly or bi-weekly rotation(between breakfast & lunch) ;) The service is efficient and you wait very little time for your tacos. There is outside seating but it’s still 5 oo hot to sit outside to me but people were out there! I can’t wait for the fall to enjoy the weather and excellent food! Speaking of… the tacos were amazing… i had the prime rib and chicken tacos with corn tortillas! Amazing… the meat was seasoned very good and they were just the right size! I can’t wait to try a fish taco(they didn’t have any today!) Until next time…

Solid taco joint with plenty of parking and outdoor seating. Tacos are small, so I highly recommend you get a trio of tacos(which probably is equivalent to eating 1.5 full-size tacos). I stopped by and got a trio of chorizo and potato breakfast tacos. In my opinion, the menu can be a bit confusing, since there isn’t a written description of how many items you can get in your taco. When I asked the lady taking my order at the counter, she seemed annoyed while explaining the pricing. Apparently you can order 2 items, but if the second item is a meat item, there is an extra charge. Oh, and there is an extra $ 0.50 charge if you want more salsa(comes with 1 container). There is only outdoor seating and our tacos came out all at one time in individual brown bags(there were 5 of us). My chorizo/potato tacos were hot and steamy when I unwrapped them. Also pretty spicy — so if you don’t like spicy, avoid this taco. Good thing I like spicy. For $ 5.50 total, this place was a good, quick fix for tacos. In opinion, a bit pricey for what you get. One of my friends commented that he was still hungry afterwards.
