Tried to eat here… Was told to sit anywhere, so chose a table outside. Sat there for close to 20 minutes enjoying the sunshine, and finally a server came by with a menu, apologized because she had thought I was with another group. Ok, no harm no foul. After she told me the drink specials and what was on tap, I asked if they filled growlers. She said no, like that was the dumbest question she’d ever heard, and left. I never saw her again. Waited another 20 – 25 minutes and finally gave up. Looked like a lovely menu, but if you can’t order after being seated for 45 minutes, it doesn’t do much good.

This place is so cute and the staff is very friendly, went here for the first time and ordered chicken and waffels which was AMAZING! I am anxious to go back and try some other things that caught my eye on the menu.

I had a lovely brunch this morning which consisted of coffee and mimosas because a lady mustn’t decide between the two! I like the ambiance, and the accessibility of the parking, considering it’s adjacent to the highly-trafficked areas of the Bishop Arts District. It’s a lovely spot with a nice patio. Inside it feels like an English pub – dark and cozy. Randomly, Hall and Oates greatest hits played while I sang along and annoyed my handsome date.(Mimosa was strong) I loved my eggs Benedict, and the fresh herbs atop the diced potatoes were a nice touch. The hollandaise sauce was the perfect consistency. My guy had the country breakfast and liked the fried chicken covered in gravy and fried eggs. He also had a bite of my breakfast and was pleased. The prices were about average for brunch spots in DFW.

The staff is friendly and laid back. If you want their attention to get a drink, don’t hesitate to go up to them. They are attentive and they make sure their customers are taken care of. They also have many specials throughout the year to benefit animals and other causes. They have food out for stray cats and cats do walk around the outside. It’s very clean but do bring a sweater if you’re like me and get easily cold. I recommend Thatcher’s, it a very delicious cider.

Best brunch in Dallas, hands down. Don’t miss the scrambled eggs, they are unbelievably phenomenal. The best 2 things to order are chicken and waffles with a side of scrambled eggs or eggs any style, scrambled, with sausage, with extra scrambled eggs. I’ve eaten here at least 25 times and these are my «usuals». Francisco is a bomb server so try to get him if possible.

It’s primarily a bar and has a hipster vibe not top notch food compared to other area restaurants but a nice hang out spot. Cool bar and outdoor seating too… 4 outta 5 for being what I expected almost went with 3 for average food.

Overall I enjoyed my visit here. The service was quite good for a Friday night. There is a nice selection of beers categorized by country(neat). All of the food was good but my only complaint is the lack of spiciness on the chicken wings. They are tasty but sweet. The Cuban and short rib frites were great. I noticed they serve cheeses with nuts and fruits which is cool. I would recommend it and come back again. 4*

Evening Friday night visit. Atmosphere– pretty nice outdoor seating with small and large size picnic tables for accommodations. Lighting outside on the lower patio was pretty dim, had to tilt the menu towards the light to read and it was hard to see the food as well. Live music. Food– we tried the sblt and salmon bruschetta. Both were good with seemingly fresh ingredients, no complaints. Good size portions. Drinks– craft beer selection wasn’t the best, slim pickings. Wine selection actually seemed a bit better comparatively. Parking– the entire area is a pain for parking, especially on a Friday night, We were lucky and got one of the few spots available. Clientele– younger crowds, seemed to be mid to late twenties, pretty tame, no rowdy behavior while we were there. Would recommend if you live in the area and know it, if not, area is pretty sketchy at night,

I came here during brunch hours and was disappointed that they don’t serve anything from their regular menu during brunch! So I wanted to order the stuffed french toast, but the server said they were doing a special that day that was strawberry crepes. So I decided to try the strawberry crepes. Worse decision ever! The crêpe was cold, there was waaaaaay too much crème, there were only like 7 slices of strawberries, and they just poured too much nasty caramel sauce on top. I could not finish it because it was like literally eating a defrosted crêpe skin covered in cream and caramel sauce. Service was good, so I will give them that. I really wanted to like this place, so I will probably give them a second chance and come when they are serving from their regular menu.

I finally feel like I’ve come to Ten Bells enough to write a good review. I’ve been at every interval from lunch through late night and have tried different beer and food options with varying company. Overall, I give it 4⁄5 stars. These four stars come from: knowledgeable servers, delicious food, good soundtrack, outdoor seating, and an intimate feel. They could earn one more by expanding their drink selection — I love to try local, craft beers, and I am quickly running out of options here. I do enjoy the ones that are recommended to me, though. This place is great for a small party. It’s busy enough to be exciting but small enough to be able to sit down and have a conversation. I plan to come back enough to be considered a regular! By the way — have the Ten Bells Butty. That is all.

A great little restaurant with unique beers from around the world and spirits. The food is very good. Today I stopped by with a friend and I had their Fish Benedict which was perfectly executed.

Ten Bells Tavern is solidly decent. My friend and I met on a mission to try the best mac and cheese options in Dallas and TBT regularly was on every list we found. On a weekday evening, after work, we were expecting a crowd, but there were only a couple parties inside and out. We only found out about the Happy Hour deals after another waitress was explaining the specials to our neighboring table when we were almost done dining, so that was a little disappointing(we were seated where we didn’t see the chalkboard immediately and that was the only indication that it was happy hour.) The music was pop and 90s and fun at a decent level to still have a conversation when we sat down, but about halfway through the meal, it was switched to really loud hard rock that made it hard to hear one another. We ordered the mac and cheese(because, duh) and the baked burrata, on our waitress’s recommendation. The mac and cheese met the high expectations! The sauce was creamy and flavorful and fantastic. I seriously considered licking the tray when the noodles were gone, but some of the noodles were undercooked and crunchy. Unfortunately, the burrata was bland and we only had a few bites. It really just tasted like warm cream and plain bread. And, neither option was worth its price tag for the portion or flavor. I might go back if I am in the area and seeking out some happy hour deals, but we will continue on our quest for the consistently delicious mac and cheese in Dallas!

This place is one of the few unknown«Greats» in Dallas. You can’t get a stronger, more creative, best priced cocktail anywhere in town. If you want a great cocktail and you want to tie one on, Go to this place!

I really really really really really really really like Ten Bells. Maybe it’s just the Carly Rae Jepsen stickers talking that we won for 3rd place at Wednesday night trivia, but this place is fun. The environment gets called«hipster» a lot(and yes I saw retro tweed jackets in sweltering summer heat along with many other«interesting» choices in fashion). The beer menu even has«HPSTR» accompanying Belgian and German as one of its nationalities, as if PBR didn’t fit in the American category. But a little eye rolling aside, this place has a lot to offer. There are plenty of beer options, a full bar, and good specials(e.g., $ 3 wells this particular night). The food menu is quite tasty too. I went there for happy hour with a big group and got to try a little bit of everything from their delicious mac and cheese to their fries served with what I’m guessing is some sort of curried butternut squash dip?(don’t worry it tasted good) to their salmon bruschetta. Many great snacks but also main dishes too if you want a little more. This is a great place with plenty of outdoor seating and a very cozy indoor area that feels off the beaten path and will serve you with good food and drink(and a good time).

I have heard a lot of realllly good things about this place and I’ve been dying to check it out for awhile. This past Saturday I finally had my chance! When we got there, it was surprisingly not that busy. For 7ish on a Saturday night, I thought for sure there would be a wait. We were seated right away and the staff was super friendly. I ordered the Roast Beef Au Jus sandwich. I heard it was amazing so I had to give it a shot! This was the part of the journey that was really really disappointing for me. The beef in my sandwich was… I’ll sum it up in one word, inedible. It was like eating a sandwich of bouncy fat. It was such a turn off I barely took a few bites and gave up completely. I know with beef(especially a ribeye type cut) you can sometimes have an amazing experience and sometimes have a fatty really bad one. I am hoping that it was just a bad experience for me. Based on the food, I would give it a 1 Star! Reasons I raised the rating was because the location and building were really cool. The atmosphere was also really unique. One of the things I noticed immediately when we arrived was several complete strangers talked to us(it’s not often your sitting at a private table having dinner and people talk to you). It totally had a «small town» vibe to it — where everyone knows everyone and if they don’t, they want to. Haha I personally loved that and wish more places and people like this, existed. Very hard to find! Also like I said the staff were all extremely welcoming and friendly. They have a great beer selection and the outside patio section was a nice touch. I won’t give up on them yet. Hopefully in the future I can give it another shot on the food.

Let me put it this way, if the world was ending a la an Edgar Wright movie, I’d risk life and limb to get to Ten Bells to wait out the apocalypse. Hell, even walking through the streets on Bishop Arts on a normal Saturday night, besieged by the $ 30K millionaires, 50-something white couples, and anyone else feeling entitled in some form or fashion, trying to experience the trendiness of the area, you still want to take refuge in a cozy place that doesn’t cater to their bullshit. This is that place. I agree to the high heaven with the other Unilocalers and love their delectable, creamy short rib fries/frites, their choice of music, the staff friendliness, and the all inclusive neighborhood vibe.

Came here for brunch and thought it was pretty nice! Kind of a hipster type scene in Bishop Arts. I ordered the Duck Confit Hash which was pretty hearty. I want to come back and try some other items for sure.

Stopped by with my family while we were in Dallas on vacation. I ordered the 4 Cheese Mac ‘n Cheese. So rich and gooey. Drinks were made beautifully(and strong!) and the atmosphere is casual and fun! Love this place and will be back every time I’m in Dallas.

I had this place on my Unilocal bookmarks for a while, but I honestly didn’t remember why. Nevertheless, when my friends asked if there was any places to drink at at Bishop Arts, I named this place not knowing what exactly they had to offer. We went on a cold, rainy Wednesday evening during their happy hour. Happy hour sorta sucks($ 1 off wells/drafts/something else), but we just wanted a place to chill. This bar isn’t very large but they have enough tables and seats. I got one of their cocktails which was actually pretty strong(don’t remember the name but it had Absolut hibiscus in it). This is a pub though, so their selection of cocktails is not very large and instead has a wide variety of beer. After drinking a bit, of course I wanted food. Everything on their small menu looked so good, so as a table, we ordered the mac and cheese, salmon bruschetta, and short rib frites. This place has been awarded best bar food by several papers and I do have to agree. Food here is super legit and super on point. Granted, portion size is not very large, and the items you order are probably not worth the $ 8-$ 10 you will spend, but everything was made so well and delicious. They really do pub grub right! Patio looked really nice too, but too bad the weather that day was not on our side. Glad I got to explore the other side of Bishop Arts though!

Thank you once again Unilocal! My friends on this website are awesome and they have awesome taste and awesome opinions!!! The other night, my fiancé and I were looking for a spot to grab a drink and a bite on a rare night when we were able to go out. I remember reading the review for Ten Bells and was in the mood to try a new spot… so Ten Bells Tavern it was! We made our way over to the BAD, parked, and walked over to the tavern. They do have a small parking area off to the side, but just in case that’s full, there is a huge lot about a half a block away, so you shouldn’t have any problems. Once we walked up, we saw the huge patio in the back. The back of the tavern opens up and right on the inside is another small interior dining area. Very nice, open, and inviting! We grabbed a table inside and ordered. They have a nice variety of beers and mixed drinks. We ordered the cheese platter and I had the fish and chips. The platter was a great blend of cheeses, nuts, pepper rings, apple slices, and bread. It was the perfect pairing with our beers. We had fun mixing and matching different bites with all of the items on the tray. There were several combinations to keep us entertained until our entrees came out. The fish and chips were decent. You get 2 pieces of fish on top of some fries. The«chips» were well seasoned. The batter on the fish was alright, nothing too exciting, but good. We happened to be there on the night that Scotland was voting for their independence. A group of bar hoppers dressed in kilts and playing bagpipes dropped by and began to play songs and drink! The atmosphere was awesome! I had a blast! I really enjoyed Ten Bells. The food is good, but the environment is what did it for me. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The service was excellent. The beer was cold. Not too much more that you could ask for. It was a fun night out. I do plan on coming back!
