Texan Blue Pool Service

Terrible service. Pool looked like a lagoon after two weeks of technicians adding chemicals /​treatments. Pool couldn’t be used until I hired a different outfit who straightened it out in a week. Of course Texan Blue is now refusing to provide a refund.
Stay away from this company.

We have used Texan Blue Pool Service for quite a while without any problems. We knew we were in for an interesting spring with all the rain in the area. It’s hard to keep up with the chlorine when it’s getting washed out. However, it is almost 3 weeks later and my pool is GREEN. The tech came out 2 weeks ago and shocked the stew out of the pool, but that is all. There is a layer of dead algae on the bottom of the pool. This week, the tech didn’t show up and the pool is green. I made several calls to the company. Responses were: 1) The technician is probably doing the run backwards and will be at your house before 9 pm 2) He did come, but we understand that you want your pool ready by the weekend, so we will do a courtesy visit. (no courtesy visit) 3) We understand you want your pool ready to swim in on Sunday. Doug will do a courtesy visit tomorrow (Saturday) as his second stop and get the pool ready. 4) Doug will be there today. I noticed your filter hasn’t been changed. (Huh? A new motor and filter system were installed a month ago…
Now they are not returning my calls and no «Doug» ever showed up. I’m paying for FULL SERVICE and getting NO SERVICE. How is that good business? Obviously we are unable to use our pool as planned this weekend. Hopefully we don’t have to wait ANOTHER week to get someone out here.
In order to try and salvage the pool for next week, I’ve begun treating it myself. So now I’ve got the expense of a non-​performing pool service and the cost of algaecide, shock and chlorine.

I live in Fairview and had a hard time finding an honest company. (From other pool servicers-«oh you live in Fairview? Price is actually double») Found these guys and could not have been happier! Did everything they said they would and even a little more. VERY pleasantly surprised. They answered the phone professionally; gave me an honest estimate of cost; arrived on time; knew what they were doing; were very nice and informative; charged what they said they were going to charge. Could you ask for more? Not in my book! The best pool service I’ve ever had!

The guy you encounter on the phone is nice… After that, once you’ve signed up for service, it all goes downhill. I’ve been using them for a month and my pool has gone from crystal clear to green around the edges. The tech just doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing with the chemical balance. I’ve notified them by email twice about this. The tech said (the week before last) that he’dJUST run out of algicide and would do it the following week. Well, guess what — then came Memorial Day holiday… He was supposed to come one day later because of the holiday but didn’t show. Nope. I’m looking for better. This isn’t just about a pool’s appearance: the whole family will end up with ear infections if we don’t have a clean pool. Buh-​bye Texan Blue.
