I went in to try out the introductory facial week of 4⁄12. I got ushered in to the back and was told I would fill out the form where you would specify needs and issues beforehand AFTER my facial. It ended up being more of a rough massage than a facial and the extractions were very painful. I walked out of there with greasy and sore feeling arms, shoulders, neck, scalp and my face was so oily and greasy from the massage oils that it irritated my eyes. I had to go home and have a shower just to wash the mess off! Later, I developed more soreness/stiffness in massage areas as well as bruises. I also developed redness and irritation at the extraction areas and I still have a mark on my face from the worst one. I tried to contact the store via their website email to let them know what happened and I wanted to give them another try. I wanted to discuss the issues(in writing, hence the email) and be assured if I tried again, I would not be so disappointed and *injured*. I even mentioned this was important as I was willing to pay full price to try again. I never received a response. In summation, avoid this place because they simply do not care about customer service and your comfort!

I’m so happy I came upon the thread about facials. Mel needed one bad. Out of all the gazillion other spas, I chose this one in Preston Ridge. It’s not close to me, but the $ 49 facial deal sounded sweet. I walked in and felt right at ease. The lounge is pretty comfortable with magazines and product information, but i didn’t have to wait for long at all. From the second that Glenda came out to greet me, I knew I was in good hands. She was just so sweet, calming and nice. Her southern twang was adorable. She reminded me of a really nice grandma, even though she didn’t look old at all. She led me to a very comfortable small room with light music playing and a comfortable little chair to lay back in. You wrap yourself in a towel and have the option of being over or under the covers. I suggest getting under just because it is so comfy. It feels like you’re in a cocoon, not that I would know what that feels like. Glenda got to work on my face. She asked me about my routine(a bar of soap-eek!) and checked out my skin. She had plenty of recommendations, but never once tried to sell me a thing. I appreciated that. She didn’t quite do as many extractions(ew) as I would have liked, but she did get the major icky stuff. She also massaged my neck, shoulders, hands, and arms. It felt amazing. I think I actually dozed off a bit. A 50 minute facial will only set you back $ 49. To lock in that price for future visits, you have to sign up for the monthly membership. It’s free to join and you have the option of paying a yearly fee up front or going month to month. You can also get microdermabrasion and massages at a discount if you sign up too. I’ll definitely be back to see Glenda next month!

The Facial Shoppe is a day spa that offers facials, massages, waxing, and microdermabrasion. I made an appointment after reading a review on another web site. I took advantage of the $ 49 facial to try them out. I was very happy with this facial and decided to buy the 1 year membership. This membership gets you discounted services such as, $ 39 massages, $ 49 facials, and $ 10 waxing. Also discounts on Murad products. The actual spa itself is very comfortable and laid back. The staff is very friendly. Both of the aestheticians I have seen were very nice, and they gave great skin tips. I recommend this place if you love facials like me!
