The only reason I marked this to a 4 out of 5 is because of the lack of parking and the fact that the tables are squished into a small space. The food is so good! Personal favorites are the Tom Kah soup, house salad, and the house fried rice. I had been visiting Asian Mint for the last few years but I recently moved closet to The Mint. The food is exactly the same and I’m so hapoy to be just a few minutes away. The waitstaff was friendly, refilled our drinks quite a bit and were very attentive. For a small place it wasn’t too noisy, my friend and I had trouble having a conversation over dinner. Can’t wait to go back!

This restaurant has become my new addiction and obsession. I probably pick it up, get it delivered, or occasionally dine in once a week. Their food is fantastic and so flavorful. When I have dined in, the service has been very good and the staff very friendly. It’s a small space so can get a little packed at times, but you can usually always be seated within a few minutes. I highly recommend the basil fried rice. I know fried rice can seem like a typical and bland option, but I promise, it is so delicious and full of flavor here. I also love the red curry with chicken! Everything I have tried here is delicious. By far my favorite Thai/Asian fusion restaurant in Dallas.

Update 5÷23÷16 Upgraded to 4 stars What a difference! Server greeted us within moments of being seated. Thank you Nikki for following up on my review. We had an enjoyable dinner. Previous post. Service is indifferent at best. Have been her multiple times and on a good day, expect it to take 4 – 5 minutes before the server will even acknowledge you and get your drink order. We try to arrive before 6pm when they aren’t too busy(there were only 5 other tables here and two servers when we arrived). The food is good but I wonder if it’s worth the bad service.

One of my all time favorite Dallas restaurants, by far the best Larb Kai(I have tried this dish at multiple restaurants but none compare in the least). Their green curry is so fresh, I get the pork and you dont feel gross after eating the entire dish like other places. They just expanded and I would eat here weekly if I could. Every dish is excellent!

Delicious and fresh! The tuna nacho thing under appetizers is AMAZING! It’s not called that exactly but you’ll know what I’m talking about. Sake Mojitos are great! Pad Kee Mow w/veggies and tofu is my fav dish but everything is so good here! Green basil fried rice is a close second. Their tofu is some of the best I’ve ever had!

I was visiting some friends who live in Dallas and we decided to try out The Mint. We loved it! It is a very small but clean/modern restaurant. The portions were huge(leftovers!) and affordable. We tried the cashew chicken, pad thai, and red curry. All were great. you should definitely try this place if you are looking for thai food!

Very good food. Little pricey but excellent thai in a good neighborhood. Come here and get pad thai with spring rolls. You will not be disappointed in the food or service. Good portion size and really tasty.

Delicious, but a little pricey for somewhat small portions. We got takeout from here, delivered by GrubHub and it was DELICIOUS. Summer rolls, veggie dumplings, house salad, veggie stir fry, and pad woon sen, all very good. As usual for me, more food less $ would’ve made me a happier camper. But all in all, it was great. I’d definitely be a regular if I lived here!

A lot of money to get this delivered to our hotel via Grubhub, but it was super tasty. I ate all the apps, but saved my main meal. And then the next day drank for about 8 hours. Came back to the hotel and ate the noodles without a shirt on. The Pad Woon Sen noodles blended nicely with my chest hair, so that’s a bonus. I wiped all of them off after I finished eating, no harm no foul. Great foods!

COMESWITH A GARNISHOFMINT The Mint is a combination of elegant décor, vibrant Thai cuisine, and business casual diners that takes Thai food off the street and brings it into an upscale setting, without inflating its prices. The Food: If you order the curries, you choose the meat(beef, pork, chicken, veg) and rice(white or brown [+$ 0.50]). My only complaints: 1) ½ bowl of rice for a full bowl of curry(curry-rice ratio is TOOMUCH) and 2) meat and curry are cooked separately, then added together(no meat flavor in the curry)(–0.5 star). Green Curry: SWAMPOFGREENSAVOURY, SWEET&SPICY. Each drop of Green Curry coats your taste buds with fragrant vegetables(bamboo, red bell pepper, mint, eggplant, white onion), curry seasoning, and sweet, decadent coconut milk. You taste the coconut milk consistently in the background with the fragrant vegetables providing their spices and flavors. Overall, the flavor is very clean and does not linger or saturate your taste buds for too long. Just long enough for them to be entertained until your next bite. Yellow Curry: LAKEOFCURRY. Your typical Yellow Curry is on the spectrum between bright yellow to dark brown; this one has a dark mustard/tan color. It consists of curry powder, carrot, white onion, and coconut milk. What is noteworthy is the strong curry flavor that outcompetes the decadent coconut milk that soothes the tongue and the carrot and white onion that cannot tame its flavor(–1 star). As a result, the Yellow Curry is more intense in curry flavor and lingers on your tongue. It is also sweeter than the Green Curry. All in all, you only taste the intense curry spices and sweetness that overpower the other elements of the dish, but not the complexities of the combined ingredients. Pad See Ew: MOUTHFULSOF «WOKHAY» Before you say«Ew» and become preoccupied with the«Ew» in Pad See Ew, you need to take a bite of this rice noodle dish. It consists of broccoli, bok choy, egg, wide rice noodle, and beef, all tossed in a wok. The noodles carry a deep caramel-savoury flavor as a result of «Wok Hay,» a term referring to the heat imparted into a dish due to wok tossing at high cooking temperatures. This provides the rich, complex caramel-savoury flavor that makes each bite of Pad See Ew a flavor experience. While eating this, notice how the flavors intensify on specific areas on your tongue, a rich flavor bomb of umami. This is Thai comfort food that you seek; intense in flavor for a brief moment, a firework that takes over the night sky in the time of a single heartbeat. The broccoli and bok choy cut and balance the soy sauce and Wok Hay flavors. This dish is like a drug, intense in flavor, but before long, you find yourself wanting more. ANOTHERONE. Basil Fried Rice: BASILHASLEFTTHEBUILDING. Basil is known for its intense kick, made famous in Vietnamese and Italian dishes. Before taking my first bite, I closed my eyes, and awaited the deluge of basil flavor. I waited and waited, but there was no basil to be found. Three bites in, and I finally take the whole basil leaf in my mouth… THEREITIS. Basil flavor is lost throughout the fried rice(–0.5 star), but you get the sweetness of soy sauce, mild spice of red bell pepper, and brininess of the shrimp. The fried rice is well balanced in flavor: sweet, salty, savoury, and then BASIL. Do not get me wrong, I just thought if basil is in its name, you would taste it in the dish. Adding ground basil would be much better than garnishing the plate with basil and calling it basil fried rice. Green Tea Ice Cream Cake: ICECREAMCASTLEOFGREENTEA. Imagine layer upon layer of green tea cake & ice cream. In the end, you get the perfect architecture of a confectionery treat. Aside from the visually pleasing geometry, you get the natural flavors of green tea with each bite. The cake is sweet with the aroma of green tea, while avoiding the dry, roasted aftertaste of green tea that had been left brewing for too long. The ice cream has the same young and intense flavor of the cake and provides a refreshing coolness & chill. This green tea ice cream LITERALLYTASTESLIKEGREENMILKTEA. It is not creamy per se, but quickly melts away like a sphere of milky shaved ice. It is velvety smooth from the moment it touches your tongue to when your mouth is coated in green milk tea winter wonderland. The Verdict: TRYTHEAMBIANCEWITH A SIDEOFTHAIFOOD. The Mint pairs average Thai food with above average ambiance. The Yellow & Green Curry are clean and flavorful, but are accompanied by an infant’s portion of rice. Pad See Ew packs deep caramel-savoury«Wok Hay» flavors that can be enjoyed in any meal. The basil in the Basil Fried Rice is absent throughout the meal, until you bite into whole basil leaves that were tossed in. Enjoy the clean and pure flavors of green tea with the Green Tea Ice Cream Cake, a refreshing and appropriate way to end your adventure at The Mint.

This place is simple and solid. Everything we had was delicious. We started with a yellowtail ceviche that was spicy hot and alive with all kinds of unique spices. Then I had the sea bass special with mushroom, soy, onions, broccoli and Bok Choy… healthy, fresh and fabulous… So if you want to strike gold… head to The Mint. You will be much richer(and full) afterwards.

Clean and very sweet taste of all dishes ordered! After their satay, green curry, and pad Thai; we didn’t need dessert! Nice portion and service though! Use to be but not a favorite after this overly sugared meal!

About average. Don’t come here looking for authentic Thai food, its basically Thai food run through an Americanized filter. Ordered pad thai, not bad. The sauce was really sweet, would have been nice to have a little spice to offset all the sweetness. The proteins were cooked well and had nice flavor. Décor is modern and nice. Everything is clean. People are attractive. May go back again, to try the green tea ice cream cake since that seems to be the thing to get.

Based on the glorious reviews of this place I wanted to give it a try. It is a very small store front and easily missed. The décor inside is beautiful and just my taste. Shades of blues and greens with elegant lighting set a nice mood. We arrived around 6:20 and it was fairly open but about 20 minutes later the place was packed. Keep in mind it’s a small space though. I ordered the combo pad Thai and the spicy tuna wonton appetizer. The appetizer was delicious with seaweed and the crunch of the wonton was a perfect compliment to the flavorful tuna. The pad Thai did not wow me though. We had a slight issue with my guests meal but it was quickly handled and taken off our ticket for the trouble. I also became pretty sick about an hour after leaving and didn’t eat anything else that could have caused it. Overall I would try Mint again but Bangkok City is by far the best I’ve had in Dallas area.

Impeccable Service. You can curry me any time day or night. Hot Sweet Potato with perfectly textured rice in proper ratio for every spoonful dip into heavens way of saying Eat Me. Every noodle dish, soup, rice plate, spring roll, is fresh and made to order. I would just stay away from the Tea Selection. They are not fresh bagged or fresh spiced. However, they carry Illy if you like Espresso. Just go for the enjoyment of dining happily. Parking is a little squished. The entire place is only like 800 sqft, unlike the sister property off Forrest.
