If a picture says a thousand words then a video says a million. The Snoring Center probably provides a lot of relief to their patients; unfortunately, I was not one of them. I saw Dr. Swimmer at the Snoring Center in Dallas, Houston, and Austin over a period of two+ years. You can learn more about my experience at . I personally would not recommend the pillar procedure to anyone.

The Good: Nurses were great, Doctor was knowledgeable & professional The Bad: Very expensive & didn’t work I had both the Pillar and Turbinate procedures performed the same day I visited the office for the first time. The procedures were done quickly and the pain was minimal(sore throat for a couple days/bloody nose for a few hours). To be fair, Dr. Schwimmer did advise that my snoring issues may not be completely solved by these two procedures alone. However, if he would have told me it was possible to experience no gains whatsoever, I wouldn’t have gone through with either of them. In the end, I spent about 5k in about 30 minutes and have nothing to show for it except an outstanding credit card bill. My snoring has not improved at all. I called the office after six months and got in for a review. I was advised to shell out more money for a sleep study and possible follow-up work. I decided to cut my losses and just keep snoring.

I went in here because I heard good things about this place. I got the procedure done and then the issues started not long after. They told me a price and I paid it and thought everything was done. A few months after, I got a bill from them for another couple of hundred dollars. I called and they said the insurance didn’t pay what they thought it was going to be. I said fine and paid it. 9 months after I get another bill from them saying I owed even more money. I called again and same old story, insurance didn’t pay the amount they thought. I was like are you kidding me, 9 months later you gonna send me another bill? This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a Dr. EVER!!! Dr. Schwimmer scammed me and said they would turn me over to collection agency if I didn’t pay. As if the $ 3000 plus out of pocket I paid(along with what the insurance paid) wasn’t enough.

I spoke to the person that is charging of billing at the Snoring Center and I made it very clear that I have a consumer driven health care plan with spending accounts. The person(Nicolette) told me that they could accommodate me, thus I made an appointment with them. On the day of my appointment no one with any knowledge of insurance was in the office and all they seemed to care about was charging me for my visit while telling me that they did not charge insurance payment accounts. Their office totally let me down and lied to me by telling me that they took my insurance and spending accounts. I wasted a whole day and was caught in three hours of traffic because of a doctors office that just books appointments and does not understand the facts of modern medical insurance.

I visited the center a few months ago due to snoring problem. The ENT suggested I try their new Pillar procedure. They charged me $ 2500 for less than a 10 minutes procedure. I asked for a receipt to file for insurance company and they said they will not mention the procedure on their statement. Well I thought if my snoring goes away or be reduced it may worth it to pay it out of pocket. It has been about 4 months now and my snoring is worse than ever before. The center market this procedure very strongly and they give the impression to their patients that it works. It does not work. Since then I have found several others who have done it and they are not happy with the misleading information about the Pillar procedure and the result. I wish it was a way to get my money back. I was fooled. Meran D.

My step son recently had turbinate reduction to treat his nasal allergies. He lives in LA, so he flew into the Dallas office, was treated and flew back to LA. It was very convenient for him as a traveller. But the best part is the results. He has suffered from nasal allergy symptoms since he was a child. He loves being outdoors, but often just can’t take the consequences. Now that has all changed. He had the procedure 3 weeks ago and now he is breathing freely through his nose for the first time in years. What a huge difference this has made in his life. I’ve seen him suffer for years, and I only wish that he would have had this procedure done earlier. Thank you Snoring Center!
