My team and I flew from Florida for a tournament, and thought hey it would be great to try something different so we chose to ride a bull. We came to ride a bull at this place and the staff told us the guy would be there at 8:00 so we walked around, no problem. We got bored so we at least took pictures on the bull and still no one one was there 45 mins later so we go back to ask if he’s coming. The staff said he’s not coming till 9:30 so we decided to leave because we just wasted time and he might never show up. We pretty much thought they knew he wasn’t coming at he appropriate time and they weren’t speaking to us.

Extremely packed on Friday night. Terrible beer selection. They don’t even have a single IPA on tap or in a bottle or can. Big frat crowd which were loud and annoying. Pretentious folk sat outside with judging eyes constantly glancing at their phones. If you want to meet someone incredibly uninteresting, I would go here. I think I’ll stick to somewhere with a slightly less obnoxious attitude. Mediocre staff, boring atmosphere and so many people that you can barely breathe let alone walk around. I may be generalizing on the crowd but it seems to be consistently poor. I’m young myself but I’m not one who likes to bump into people all night and be yelled at to finish my drink before they even have last call. Not the worst bar I’ve ever been to its just not my scene. If you don’t want to have a conversation and want to watch a bunch of bros threaten other bros, this is the place for you.

Only reason this gets one star is because it can’t get zero. So, first me and a couple of friends were getting some drinks and having a decent time when some random person comes up and asks us if we want some drinks so we agree and the random customer asks us for drinks, cool right? Apparently not to the bar. The random customer leaves after ordering the shots and the bartender tells me we have to pay for them even though we haven’t even touched them yet. I tell him we didn’t order these shots and he says we HAVE to pay. I tell him no and we’ll just leave instead so he CHASES us out of the bar and tries to force us to of the bar saying he’s the owners son and he’ll do who knows what to us if we don’t pay so another of his workers comes to us and asks what happened so we explain the situation and I guess he explains to the owners «son» and the son calms down. They eventually allow us to leave after apologizing but not after making us look idiotic in front of all the guests. The whole situation was uncalled for and could have been handled so much better if it wasn’t for the owners «son».

Not as awful as the place next door but definitely not your go to place for a girls night or group night out. Older people are here if you’re into that. No one was using the mechanical bull while I was here. Beer was about $ 5/​$ 6 a bottle. I ordered a vodka soda with two limes and the limes were shriveled like they’d been there for awhile. Also their music was so loud on the inside that it truly hurt my ears and I am a fan of loud music. They also have terrible transitions between songs. I do not recommend this place.

My credit card info was stolen here and used the following night. I’m a college student that used to enjoy this place, even though it’s sketchy and gross. It just reached a new level of sketchy. Disgusted.

Had a blast ! They have a mechanical bull in the patio area you can ride. The Cost is $ 5.00, not a bad deal. It was mix crowd, Love the music. The dj knew how to transition to keep everyone satisfied.
Drinks were reasonable price, my favorite is patron with club soda. I recommend this place guys or girls night out.

Everyone here was underage, which made going as an actual 21 year old less fun — everyone was wasted and I was kind of taken aback by how rude people were when they slammed into you! Crowd was kind of gross by midnight when we got there. Drinks were fine (I didn’t pay so I’m not sure about the prices) but we only stayed long enough for one before heading out.

Great if you want to hit up a Texan type nightlife bar compete with mechanical bull! Terrible if you live nearby and all you hear is girls on said bull yelling and screaming on weekday nights. SMU likes to have events here too, if you’re into that.

The only thing cool about this place is the mechanical bull on their front patio. I was actually surprised at how nice it looks in the pictures, I guess because I’ve only been at night and you can’t see a damn thing it’s so dark and full of humans. It is always stupid packed on the weekends. I’ve never even stood inside because I feel like I am suffocating. I have been screwed a couple times on the tab here, and it is true the bartenders have on several occasions upped their own tip amounts. tisk tisk.
Due to the place always being packed, the bar service is god awful, but that’s not entirely their fault. Last weekend me and several girlfriends came here and got in no problem. But when one of my friends bf showed up, they wanted $ 20 to let him in. Get outta here! We left and went across to Blackfriar which was totally fine with me! They have a location in Austin that I prefer over this one. Unless you are going to bring some out of town partier friends who want to ride the bull, I would suggest skipping this place and go across the street to Blackfriar for a more ethical and friendly bar.

First stop on Saturday night. Arrived earlier in the night (around midnight) and didn’t stay too long. Place was pretty full of people, many said it was their first stop, but others were already pretty drunk. Lines for the bathroom (which were awfully dirty) were appalling and there was broken glass/​ice everywhere. Typical bar, eh?
Music: Not very good — weird country-​ish remixes (I normally like country though), so didn’t stay long.
Bonus: Some good looking chicks falling over each other while trying to 2-​step.
Bottom Line: Only reason to visit is if bored and in the mood for people watching amusement.

This place is full of drunk 16 and 17 year old kids. Apparently this place lets minors pay 20 dollars or if you are a vip minor, you can say «I’m here for the gangbang.» If you want to get in for free. They get unlimited access to drinks. It’s crooked and I can’t wait for the day they get caught. Horrible bar for people 21+. Probably a great bar for minors. They will be caught and shut down, Can’t wait. If you go, Id the girls you hit on. Some were as young as 15.

There’s just so many things wrong with this place it’s hard to decide where to start. This is like heaven for a meat-​head looking for a fight. Every time I walk by this place someone is getting thrown out or there’s a fight in progress. The bar inside is tiny and people pack in like sardines. If you’re wearing something decently nice, expect to get spilled on. Manners go out the window at this place. People bump into each other, spill on each other, yell at each other and start fights. The staff is incredibly unfriendly. And be careful. They will put random drinks on your tab! Make sure to check over your bill before you pay!
Overall I’d suggest skipping this bar. There’s plenty of other places to grab a drink with friends and not worry about being spilled on or a fight starting.

This place is mediocre. I’ve heard stories of people getting tips added to their bill and also the service is slow and the staff is just ok. This place can be sketchy at times. I think its fun if you want to drink and watch a friend get knocked off a bull (why I’m reviewing it!) Haha but that’s about it! Not the best of crowd!

Not my type of bar. I find the crowd… different. i really never had REAL fun there.
However the bartenders are great and fun.

Same thing happened to me, Emily A. I went for the first time this past Saturday, paid in card, tipped in cash AND THEN the bartender had the nerve to WRITE IN THEIR OWN TIP on my bill. I too, was completely sober and actually have my copy of my receipt to prove it. Saw it on my bank account today. Such bullshit. That’s actually called stealing, Trophy Room. Like legitimate stealing. You should be ashamed.
Never going back.

Let’s be honest, the only reason any of us go here is to either ride the mechanical bull, or watch people ride it. If you’re not interested in the mechanical bull, then there are definitely better places to go for a drink.
Regarding the bar itself, it’s on the smaller side. Not a lot of standing room which leads to a lot of bumping and stepping on shoes. Not a good mix with alcohol and a crowd on the younger side of the spectrum.
Sometimes on the weekend, they will bring a band in to play live music, but again, the inside is very small, so there’s not really a dance floor to enjoy the music. I would say most of the bands play country, but I’ve heard an occasional rock band while walking by.
All in all, if you are entertaining people from out of town, taking them to see the mechanical bull might be fun/​unique. Other than that, I would give this place a pass.

You know I really like this place, but when the servers start ADDING THEIR OWN TIP to my bill that is where I draw the line. Nothing make me more angry than to look at my bank account and realize that they have stolen my money. I bought one shot for $ 8 (which is ridiculous anyway) for one person, and no I was completely sober so I know what I put on the check. I put «cash» and put the signed copy into the jar. I tipped $ 2 CASH into the jar and guess what charge shows up on my end? $ 13! I only bought one shot and the bartender gave themselves an extra $ 5 tip without my consent. Maybe if they had given me the best damn service I’ve ever had that might be a tip I’d hand out but NO. It was one lousy shot.

I don’t plan on returning and recommend that everyone checks their bank accounts afterward because they will scam you!

Something about this place makes it a douchebag magnet. I don’t know what it is, but everytime I go the place is full of them. Popped collars, cheap cologne and drunken behavior is plentiful. There’s nothing wrong with being drunk at a bar, after all that’s what they are for, but the way that these people act is painful to watch. It’s a little like a bad episode of Jersey Shore.
Other than the DBs, the bar itself isn’t bad. The bartenders are friendly. The drink prices are decent and they have more than just one bar so that people don’t have to wait for too long to get drinks. I like the mechanical bull too.

Really the only reason to go here is if you are a. excited about people watching or b. really drunk lol. Most of the people here were fairly wasted and frequently bumping into you which was rough and less than enjoyable. We got here around midnight so it was at that time when people are drunk.
But, the people watching was great. That mechanical bull was ridiculous and I was frequently nervous someone was going to be tossed out of what seemed like a small padded ring. But hey — if that i what you’re into, may as well give it a try.
