I want to say«Thank You» to Jim Plummer and his employees at this store. My dryer stopped working and I had no clue how to repair it. I contacted the store and they diagnosed the problem. They walked me through the repair step by step over the phone. They were so helpful and kind. I highly recommend this store. They saved me all of the expensive repair costs! Thanks UFIXIT! Lori T.

Had to replace the hot surface element on my mom’s central heat. This was the closest place to her so I called to get a price and availability. Can’t recall the guy’s name who answered the phone but I must assume it was Cooter, Billy Bob or similar. Got the price and it was in stock. He said he’d set it aside and put my name on it. I drove up and walked in. The gentleman at the counter asked to help me. I gave my name and added that a part was set aside for me. He asked if I had the part number. First thought — maybe you’d like to start with my name and find a part with that on it? I said, «you need that for a part that’s set aside?» «I don’t have any parts set aside?» Ummm… maybe try looking? I still had the part number in my mobile browser so gave it to him. As he’s looking it up I asked if he was the only one working. He said he was. Ummm… ok, can I talk to the other person living in your head? Long story short — he found the part… and it was less than Sybil told me on the phone so what do I really care at this point. I pay up and leave. I would have given the place 5 stars but my alternate personality strenuously objected to such gratuity.

One of my goals is to keep my wife from sighing with despair when an appliance breaks and heading for Sears or Lowe’s to shop for a replacement… For 25+ years I’ve relied on these guys to supply me with the stuff to accomplish this. I cannot count the times I’ve slouched in with a box of busted parts and witnessed the thorough, calm and friendly research by the staff. I usually walk right out with a very fairly priced gadget or doohicky that will get the job done. And on a couple of occasions, I’m handed a detailed service print of the appliance I’m repairing. If my part’s not in stock they’ll get it in a hurry. Yesterday, I stopped at their Garland Rd store to pick up a burner valve I’d ordered. When it came time to settle up, the dealer found I had a [forgotten] credit from – years ago – that he applied to the cost. Nice-! On their counter, if you look, they offer some religious literature… which would ordinarily raise a flag with me. But the cool part is: I am confident that these guys DO conduct their lives in an honest & reverent fashion. Rare in business nowadays… Give them a try-!
