it was with a heavy heart that i put in my notice to vacate village on the green, after 2 years in a lovely unit on the top floor. there are a lot of things i’ll miss, and this review will serve as an ode to the aspects of VOTG that has made my renting experience so enjoyable: i’ll miss the staff in the leasing office– donna, alley, meagan. perpetually affable, professional, and consummately well-dressed, this trio of ladies has always impressed me with their wit and warmth. i’ve never witnessed them being anything but friendly and helpful, capable of recognizing their tenants on sight and anticipating their needs. when they see my unruly red hair bobbing towards their door like the bat signal for amazon purchases, they’re already pulling my packages as i step into the office. i’ll miss my apartment. it’s gorgeous, the high point in a rental history rife with UTD waterview apartments and ramshackle garbage dumps in denton. relative to similar apartments i visited prior to deciding on VOTG, the interior is much more impressive(especially in light of cost). even though some of the post addison circle floorplans i looked at were cheaper options, they charge separate monthly premiums for stainless steel, upgraded appliances, and faux hardwood floors. my kitchen is a bit small, but efficient(the flat top stove is especially nice). every single friend who visits comments on how nice the place is. and then they berate me for still having my christmas tree up. i’ll miss the peace and quiet. i’ve never heard my neighbors. i m not sure if i even have any. granted, i live on the top floor, and that saves me from some ceiling trauma, but i am nearly convinced that the units on either side of me are empty. if not, then these walls have some impressive insulation. i sometimes hear douchebags yelling at each other in the parking lot, but the least complicated fix for that is closing my bedroom window. for reference, i live in a west-facing unit that overlooks the lot outside fat straws. (PS– dan g, i apologize profusely if you happen to live below me. i don’t know how to walk in heels, and i can’t help but trample around like a t. rex when i’m wearing them.) i’ll miss living above retail. fat straws, in particular, has always been a perfect point for congregating with friends, sitting outside at dusk and sipping hot tea. and easy access to planet fitness, a great gym that i hold an absolutely dormant membership to because i’m a lazy douchebag. being walking distance from the galleria, deluged with schadenfreude for the hordes of trafficmongerers gridlocked in search for parking during the holidays. and there are just a few things i won’t miss: that parking garage, featuring narrow, death-defying turns that result in someone’s car missing yours by millimeters every time you maneuver through it. the gate at the 4th level that refuses to trigger correctly half of the time. that elevator closest to my apartment, so slowly unresponsive that it could give the mass effect 1 normandy elevator a run for its money. but overall, village on the green has the best apartment i have ever rented, and is by far the most pleasant experience. and honestly, my biggest complaint thus far is that i have spent far too money at fat straws because of its perilous proximity.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Dallas, TX
I live here and they are nice apartments. Might be a little pricey for square footage but comparable to the ones right by galleria. Trying to make some businesses work on the ground floor but seem to want high end versus middle of the road fun casual places which I think would go over better. Not real noisy unless you live right next to the parking garage in which the loud cars echo but I would still say overall it’s pretty good for noise. I don’t hear my neighbors unless they are wearing heels on the hardwoods above me.
