I really enjoyed it, however I went last weekend and it was closed. Been going for years, but no longer open.

Not a fan of their seating, but I love their selection and ambiance. The service has always been great when I’ve gone.

Great Happy Hour! Awesome wine selection, half priced glasses, and it lasts to 7pm… perfect for people like me who work past 5pm.

This place is A-MAZ-ING! The atmosphere is always cozy and comfortable. They play nice music but it’s not so loud that you have to scream to talk to people which I find refreshing. It’s on McKinney Ave so you can still be in all the action sitting on the patio without all the hassle of the typical Dallas bar/club. Also, the prices aren’t too unreasonable. As for the service, it’s great every time I visit! Last time I was there, one of the employees brought out some bug spray for me so I wouldn’t get eaten alive by Mosquitos. I thought that was a nice touch to show they care about their customers. Another thing I really like about this place is that they feature art by local artists which is available for purchase! I have some hanging in my home. So if you’re looking for a laid back place to relax and have a glass of wine while enjoying the happenings of Dallasites or admiring the talents of local artists, stop here!

Great little wine bar with a prime people-watching location on McKinney Ave. Experienced warm and friendly service every time I’ve been. Their schtick is to offer 100 wines under $ 30. Please note, this place does not pretend to be remotely about food, and the food options are pretty laughable. So don’t order them. That being said, Vino could do a bit better in this regard. With just a little more effort on this front, the place could be a five-star joint.

There was six of us(three couples) when we walked into this place towards the end of the night after hanging out at other bars and restaurants in the area, and we weren’t sure at first. We all drink wine(not snobby wine drinkers yet) and we thought it would be fun to hang out here. At first, we thought the place was for wine snobs and people that were willing to drop a couple hundred on some bottles. However, we were approached by a very friendly hostess/waitress that showed us around; we all decided to go outside in their patio lounge area, since the view of the street was nice. The six of us had a blast, we played board games they had out there, went through maybe a half dozen bottles. The waitress(I forgot her name) was really nice and courteous, and we were all very happy with the service. We all agreed to go back there again in the near future.

I absolutely love this place. Specially picked boutique-y wines for less than $ 35 allows you to split a delicious bottle without breaking the bank. The inside is small, but very cozy. There is not a better spot in Uptown than Vino’s cozy couch next to the fire. It doesn’t get much better. However, you can’t go wrong anywhere you sit, and the patio overlooking McKinney Avenue allows for great people-watching. The staff is super-attentive and knowledgeable about the wine menu. Definitely one of my favorite places to relax and have a glass of wine.

Cute wine bar located in the heart of Uptown. If you sit outside you can people watch on McKinney, which people watching is one of my favorite hobbies. Came here for a girls happy hour on a Thursday and received half off wine by the glass until 7. We had a attentive personable waiter. It’s a nice place to catch up with friends over a variety of vino!

Cute little wine bar. But I wouldn’t advise ordering food unless you’re literally dying of starvation. We ordered the cheese platter. It was very disappointing. It was very small for the cost and served on a chinsy plastic plate. When the wind picked up I was afraid our cheese plate was going to fly away. Now Im not the fanciest woman in the world but I expected a better presentation from a wine bar. On a lighter note, their wine selection is wonderful. The manager(or owner; not sure which) is always so helpful in making a wine selection. Im horrible with names but twice now I have had the same waiter and he is absolutely wonderful. Honestly I think hes the only male besides the owner Ive seen working there, so that should narrow it down pretty well. A month ago my friends threw me a surprise birthday party here. They allowed them to bring in desserts and decorate the sofa/fireplace area. They were so helpful and kept checking on us regularly. I know large groups can be difficult and a pain but they treated us as if we were the only people in the place. They have an outside patio that is perfect for people watching! This is definitely a place I will continue to frequent.

Vino 100, for being a franchise, disappointed me, primarily because of the lack of unique varietals as well as expansive options for more common party grapes. Knowing that it sets up shop on McKinney, I should have also lowered my expectations, what with the Uptown crowd simply needing a swanky wine shop to drop in for a quick pick before a party. That being said, you can certainly grab a seat, relax, and enjoy munchies, wines by the glass or bottle – at a premium, I must add – and even occasional events and other soirees of the like. As I noted, the high price point does not quite match up to the limited selection. I did feel pretty ritzy, purchasing my bottle next to some Italian individuals. Every so often, you might catch a cool cat out here. As for me, I might lean toward the larger shops in Dallas until the Big D is able to crack open the indie wine market. Do be wary of the parking situation as well as the ridiculous directions(yes, numerous directions) surrounding this rather simple plain jo’ vin-o sto’.

Vino 100 is a pretty cool neighborhood wine bar. I’ve been several times now and always enjoy myself. I believe most of the bottles they carry are $ 30 or less, which unless you’re a huge wine snob and think all great wines need to be pricey, this is a pretty great deal. You can choose a bottle to split with your wino partner, and they’ll chill whites for you and bring them over to your table in little time. You can also get a glass too, if you’re not wanting to do a whole bottle. I’ve also heard you can buy a bottle to go, which is convenient. Service is always very friendly, and informative if you have any wine inquiries. The seating options are decent, with some high tops and regular tables inside, and they also have an outdoor patio. Outdoor is my personal fav, though the McKinney Ave traffic can be a tad noisy. The only downside to Vino 100 is their food selections are limited. I ordered the cheese plate once which was OK, but I probably wouldn’t get it again. They must be aware of their limited food offerings because they allow Il Fratelli(local pizza joint) to deliver a pie to your table, which is pretty sweet. All in all Vino 100 is a solid place to have a nice glass of wine with a good friend or lover.

At first glance nothing might wow you about Vino 100, except for a lack of douche bag uptown guys. The clientle was mainly a mellow mix of older professionals and female«sex and the city» types. The hum drum bar top tables were unattractive, but this was a place where you can relax. «the crowd’s not obnoxious» I noticed. «especially for this street.» I was referring to McKinney Avenue which was slammed even at 7pm on a Thursday. Service was casual but attentive from a scruffier, down to earth version of Dallasite. Music included Carol King and wines for sale started at $ 10. Cheese plate was served with plasticware, including plates and knives, which can be ineffective for cutting a hard cheese. no valet Small food menu Decent place for a glass of wine if you don’t mind an easy whitebread ambiance ala Lauren Conrads parents prefab guest house.

Looking for a quiet place to share a bottle of wine? Then look no further than Vino 100. The ambiance is fantastic, relaxing-low lights, art covering the walls and a patio overlooking McKinney for people-watching. The price point is great and the cheese plates are decent. While the place is usually not-crowded, there are weekly events and a 5 – 7 happy hour that garner more of a crowd.

Cheap, good bottles of wine. Who doesn’t appreciate that? Half off glasses of wine happy hr? Who doesn’t appreciate that either? They also have a good assortment of beer, which most wine bars don’t have. So, what beer connoisseur doesn’t appreciate that? At least I like to change it up every drink or so. It is usually not too packed, so you can actually hear your friends talk and you don’t have to speak over the music. The servers are very helpful from picking out a glass of wine to what type of bottle you are looking for. Also, they have pretty good appetizers. Only problem, terrible parking.

I love wine just as much as the next person, so it would be kind of hard not to rate Vino 100 at least 3 stars right off the bat. But in all seriousness, this place showed us a great time. Interesting people and affordable bottles. Aside from that, the location is ideal. In the heart of Uptown, it is in the center of hot spots for dining and nightlife. Park your car on McKinney and hop from one spot to another. The wine selection here is extensive and has something for everyone. The selection is organized so that everyone from the wine expert to the wine novice can find what they are looking for. Nice patio, dim lighting inside, and comfortable romantic atmosphere.

This place is, at best, a makeshift wine bar. There’s no organization to the place whatsoever. Do I order at their little cube of a bar? Do I sit down and get served? Or do I self-serve because nobody’s paying attention the the random wine refrigerator in the corner? I never found anybody to answer my question! The few people who worked there(I counted maybe 3 servers on a Friday night, tsk tsk) kept zipping past us with other people’s order. When I tried to get their attention, they just glared at me with a look of annoyance. Whoa, homie, didn’t mean to anger you by trying to give you some business. I don’t remember how, but in the whirlwind of it all we ended up getting a table outside and actually got a waiter to come get our drink order. Who was still rushed, still rude, and sweaty. Nothing worse than sweaty strangers. We got our wines and calmed down. Then noticed the extremely obnoxious group(falling-out-of-their-chairs obnoxious) near us was getting drunk off of Muscato. Blech. I guess that really isn’t Vino 100’s fault but it speaks volumes about the people who frequent the place.

This is such a unique place! If you want a more intimate setting then this is the place!!! I love having conversations over wine or coffee with a group of friends! I was here this weekend with six other people and we all shared two bottles of wine and three hors d’oeuvres. We got the crab dip, artichoke dip, and cheese plate! All were very delicious! The smoked cheddar was amazing! They have more white selections than red on their wall just fyi if you’re a red lover.

Vino 100 is incredibly chill considering its location. They have a ton of wines to choose from but we started with the«green bubbly» since it was St. Patty’s day(and it was cheap). Yum! Once they ran out of that though, we switched to some white wine that the lady recommended for us. She seemed extremely knowledgeable and DAMN if that wasn’t a delicious wine she chose for us!!! I forget what kind it was, I just know it was white and it was called«Groth» because we kept making hurling noises that sounded like«Groth.» Classy, no? The servers were attentive when you needed something and basically just let you hang out(and eat your pizza or whatever if you have it) otherwise. I would definitely be down for coming back(and hopefully someone else drives again because I would have hated looking for parking around there). The wine tastings sound great too! 3 stars because it was good, but I didn’t like it as much as the two other places I’ve tried in Dallas so far.

You know, despite Vino 100 being located in the land-o-DB it is A-OK. I’ve been a couple of times now, most recently for a wine tasting event that a friend’s husband won. Since he doesn’t even like wine his wife got to invite all her peeps — and one of those peeps was me! The space here is small but pretty cozy including some chairs in front of a most inviting fireplace. We were seated in a row of tables marked«reserved» right as you walk in the door. Problem was they didn’t have enough tables and seats for everyone that had reserved, so they moved over a really tall bar-height table right beside the regular-height tables. Heh, so those people get to be the superstars and look down on everyone? I should have sat there! Of note: this is a great place for date night… I saw quite a few couples lounging around drinking wine. It is also a great place for a dude to pick up some chicks — tables full of chicks were there as well. It appears you can get glasses of wine here, bottles($ 25 or under is what the menu said), and snacks that are prepared somewhere else and served here. Included in the wine tasting was a platter of cheeses, crackers, fruit, etc. Pretty much your basic wine bar offering but by no means bad. Our wine tasting was led by a nice lady that explained each wine, where it was made, and what sorts of tastes we should expect. She seemed pleasant and knowledgeable and it was pretty fun. The only thing I would say this place needs is a separated private room for these sorts of shindigs because the people at the end of the table were having trouble hearing what she was saying. Not a big deal but would be nice to hear what you are supposed to hear! Overall I thought this place was A-OK. I might come back if someone invites me and perhaps would go to pick up a bottle of wine if I couldn’t find it anywhere else.
