The pharmacy at this location is, as other reviewers have mentioned, usually very busy and seemingly understaffed. However, during a casual conversation with one of the pharmacists, he admitted that although they needed employees no one wanted to work at this location, possibly because of the area or regularly rude customers. To elaborate on the customers, I go to this pharmacy at least twice a month and shop at the store much more frequently and I’ve witnessed the constant barrage of rude, insulting and condescending pharmacy customers that the pharmacists have to deal with. It seems like every other customer who approaches the desk or drive thru window has a complaint to spit at the pharmacist immediately. These pharmacists get yelled at by people insisting that they need to refill narcotics prescriptions for which the doctor hasn’t authorized refills, people who are complaining about the price of their medication, people insisting that they need their medicine now and won’t wait for it to be filled, and of course people angry about the «understaffing» of the location as if it’s the pharmacists’ fault that no one has applied to reinforce their staff. Each complaint and criticism is met with politeness and pleasant, but firm responses. I’m always impressed by the pharmacy employees’ patience and grace when faced with these difficult customers.
Also, I’ve never had a problem getting a prescription filled here in a reasonable time frame and I’ve never had to wait more than 15 minutes. The wait times are a result of impossible to please customers who are angry at the wrong people, and in my opinion the staff here does an excellent job under difficult circumstances.

The pharmacy staff here has always been super helpful. This location is near a hospital and is often extremely busy but I have always found the employees here willing to take extra time if I ever had a snag with insurance. Thanks to Elizabeth in particular for helping get me a six month supply of my medications before I went overseas.

Friendly people, but management seems to chronically under staff this store, meaning very long waits to even just drop off a prescription.

I am continually disappointed with the service/​communication with the pharmacy drive through. So much so that I have switched to a Walgreens in another part of town for most of our prescriptions. With only one car in front of us in line, you would think the wait would be five minutes. Usually it is ten to fifteen. Recently, even once we pulled up to the window, we were greeted by a voice saying that someone would be with us in a minute and we waited at least five minutes longer, while the person helped someone that had just walked up to the counter inside. There needs to be better training on managing the drive up and inside area. Or, maybe more personnel.

To be clear I am only reviewing the pharmacy part of this Walgreens. That being said, this is hands down the WORST pharmacy I have ever used. I would give it negative stars if that was an option. They pretty much never answer the phone (expect to be on hold for 45 minutes and still get no answer), which not only makes it impossible for you to get in touch with a pharmacist, but also means it’s nearly impossible to transfer your prescriptions to a competent pharmacy. Their reputation is so bad that other pharmacies such as CVS hate calling them too because again, they never answer the phone.
Additionally, forget getting refills when you run out. I’ve had doctors fax them authorizations and have records of it and the Walgreens pharmacists claim they never get them probably because they don’t give a crap and/​or lost it. Or, they’ll tell you that you have to call your doctor for a refill to which pretty much every doctor will say «have your pharmacist call.» Totally incompetent, please don’t waste your time with them, it’s simply an exercise in frustration.

Same format as every other Walgreen store. Same high prices too! If you’re in a hurry you might want to try somewhere else if there are more than two people in line. Everyone has a special request!
