If you are looking for basic and just one night then I could see giving this 4 stars… but. The week before on our way heading to Florida we stayed at the Hampton inn. Really enjoyed it and on our way back was going to stay there again but I was reading Google reviews and days inn sounded promising and we would save a little. We saved $ 20. Checked in at 9pm. We got a room on first level that we could not park near our room, which sucks when you have to carrier kids crap… like pack and play. Opening the door we noticed the funky smell of the room. Light switch didnt work, had to go into the dark stinky room to find a switch. Orange carpet, orange wall, orange bedding. A door was open to the room next door

Stayed at the Days Inn Dalton on Walnut Ave. It is right off the highway and has a great selection of places to eat within walking distance. There are even two grocery stores within a block or two. The hotel is older but I only paid $ 55.00 for a King Room with my affiliation discount. I thought the room was very clean and had a good bed. I was only there for one night so I wasn’t going to spend too much on a place I wasn’t going to be at very long. My room had a microwave, fridge, and a large LG flat screen TV. The WI-FI worked fine. The place was quiet at night. Breakfast was decent and I got good service from the staff when I spoke to them. As I said it is an older hotel and my only complaint was the bathroom is very small. Beyond that I would recommend it to someone traveling who needs a clean place to sleep for a night and take off the next morning.

The guy at the counter was a total jerk. He didn’t even listen to me when I complained. ZERO empathy. When I told him that I would give him a bad review here, rather than try to calm me down or fix my problem, he said he would SUE! LOL Go for it pal!
