The buffet is amazing! A great deal for the price and unlimited food! The desserts are my favorite part of the meal!

This is an incredibly reasonable and tasty buffet. Let me say straight off that the fried chicken is an absolute taste delight. I could probably stand there and eat ten pieces. The BBQ beef, on the other hand, was a real disappointment. It didn’t have much flavor and was pretty rubbery. The mac and cheese rocks, but I’m not sure how you would mess that up. Everything else I tasted(I took some from about half the buffet) was pretty good. I’d definitely go back again and recommend it. The dessert(I had a chocolate pie) was disappointing. It just didn’t feel worth the calories.

Excellent food! Ate Easter lunch and since we were willing to sit outside, only waited about 5 minutes.

I’m going to go ahead and fully disclose that I am from New England and the idea of having lunch at a place in Dalton, GA called«The Filling Station» didn’t exactly give me butterflies. Let me say that this place proved me completely and totally wrong. Since it’s only open for three hours a day the food is fresh, fresh, fresh! I’m not a big meat eater and haven’t had chicken in a very long time. The second I saw the fried chicken come out I knew it was time to break the streak and I’m so glad I did. Hot damn that’s some good Southern eatin’! My favorites also included the cream corn and the mac and cheese — quite possibly some of the best I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and check this place out! I’d dare to say it’s even worth the drive if you aren’t in Dalton.

I love love love this place! Whenever I stay in Dalton, I make sure to eat here. It is $ 10 and well worth it. The food is totally good olé Southern and the entrees change by day of week. My fav is the meatloaf but it’s all good. Drink choices will satisfy The atmosphere is really casual. You walk in, give the cashier your $ 10 and grab a plate. Go back as many times as you please. The desserts are just alright and not worth leaving room for so I don’t. I’ve never had to wait very long to get in. The patio seating is nice with a view of small town downtown. Pictures to follow

This is literally the best thing in Dalton. Delicious southern food served all-you-can-eat style. They have every fatty protein and carb-laden vegetable imaginable. They have the best sweet potato casserole I’ve ever had. Plus, dessert and drink is included in the buffet.

I need to start by saying I don’t like buffets, at all. In fact, I avoid them at all costs. But The Filling Station is different. It’s smaller and very well monitored. I’ve never been there when someone wasn’t standing at the station to keep it clean, wiped down, and stocked. The food they offer is really good and they have some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten. In fact, I’ve been trying desperately for years to pin down the exact flavor at home.(I’m close!) I really appreciate the fact they change up the vegetable and protein options everyday. The only things that are constant are the fried chicken and salad bar. This place is definitely a must try! I wish I could go more often but have to make a point to only visit rarely. I’m afraid even if I visited weekly, I’d get as big as The Station itself!

This place is not too bad for a buffet. I came two different times and both times were ok… for a buffet. I’m usually not a buffet person but I came here with work people. I had some sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, macaroni, meat loaf, vegetables– all not bad. The restaurant does have a huge variety of desserts which are pretty good as well. The cheesecake was ok but today I had a chocolate one with walnuts and pecans… it was really good. The bus lady was really nice.

If your in Dalton trying to find a great restaurant and being a tourist… this place is no doubt the place you need to eat. Only open for lunch though. Great atmosphere. They really did it right, self serve food, drinks, dessert! Meatloaf amazing, cream of corn & the fried chicken together was to die for… then tipped it all off with a chocolate pie.

Great little place to eat when you are hungry and in the area. Filled with nice old road signs and other old things like that, brings you back in time a bit. The food is pretty good, especially for the price and considering it’s a buffet; nice, home-style, comfort food. On a side note, the seating and parking can get a little cramped because it’s not too big of a location. If you plan on coming here, come on and empty stomach and with a sweet tooth, they have great desserts like peanut butter pie, almond joy pie, chocolate cake, and many more fattening things like that.

Ever wish you could go to Cracker Barrel Buffett but better? This place is really great, some of the best home style cooking I’ve ever had. I haven’t found anything that hasn’t been less than spectacular. I always eat way too much because it is so good. Great staff as well as great service. Will continue to go often.
