Excellent last minute find on a Saturday night! Eggplant rollatini was better than I have had in a long time. Coming from northern NJ that says a lot! Everyone was pleased with their meals. My friend had tomato basil soup which was outstanding and the service was wonderful.

Strangely long wait at 745pm. Saw gobs of empty tables, still had about a 20 minute wait. The bread made it so worth the wait! It was so good that I filled up on bread and could only eat one piece of my manicotti, which was a fond reminder that marinara doesn’t have to be a sickeningly sweet gloppy mess from a jar! The food is made in house and it shows through in each bite! Reid the waiter provided amazing service and by the time we finished he was indeed our friend! Worth the money and so worth my time!

The staff was great! The salad pretty good but the croutons could literally break your teeth. The chicken picatta and chicken Parmesan had to be frozen with possibly fresh marinara sauce to disguise the fact it wasn’t freshly prepared.

Wife is in Mexico visiting her dad… so went to Tony’s Italian Restaurant last night by myself and sat at the bar… Nice young man, John waited on me. Started off with a glass of Marlot and a Fried Calamari appetizer… wow, came out in abt two minuets flat. Incredible… perfect. Super fresh and not overcooked. Great marinara sauce and garlic rolls came with it. I was super happy. From there, I passed on the offered soup or salad and went for the Chicken Parm… Once again… a solid home run… Small family joint, Tony passed in December, but his wonderful wife continues the tradition. Overall, best Italian food in Dalton.

As someone else mentioned, NWGA has very limited selection on the restaurant front. The hubs and I tried this place one day when we were out exploring and we couldn’t decide on anywhere else. The parking lot was pretty full so we thought it would be packed but when we got inside, the place was practically empty. It was around 830 pm so I guess that was pretty late around there. Anyway, it took a couple minutes to get seated but it wasn’t bad. Our server was nice and friendly although we did have a couple lags in service. The garlic rolls and tomato soup were okay but not my favorite. Everything was a bit heavy and we had quite a bit leftover. Overall it was a decent experience and something new for us.

After a typical dreadful drive on I-75 at the end of snowbird season in Florida, we only made it to Dalton, Ga(150 miles short of our day’s goal.)It was our lucky day! We found Tony’s Italian Restaurant. We planned on a different place that turned out to be a grubby bar that allowed smoking(in 2015? Yuck!) Tony’s was a few doors down. Squeaky clean and inviting. I ordered tomato basil soup and shrimp and scallops in pesto sauce over linguini. I will try the rest of my life to try and duplicate the soup(they would not reveal the secret family recipe). The pasta was equally impressive. My wife ordered the house salad to avoid a fried food overload from our stay in Florida. She got an equally impressive lemon chicken and shrimp pasta. Excellent! Tony’s has a great wine list, not cheap and no happy hour. The house wine was tasty and didn’t crush my bill. If you are lucky to have Tammy as your server, she is part of the owner/family, ask for suggestions. She will not lead you astray!
