In San Francisco in the Richmond District, we have a duplex with an older intercom system that needed to be replaced. Last week the system went down and decided to call Mark. He gave us a reasonable quote to replace the entire system. After the job was completed, we had issue with the door buzzer, but Mark came out right away on the same day we called to resolve the problem. His charges for the work was very reasonable.

DONOTUSEMARK. I have had nothing but problems with him. At first he seemed very knowledgeable, and reliable, but that came to a halt very early on in working with him. Let me provide a few examples; Mark has a three carbon copy invoice system, and after the first walk through, provides the customer the bottom two(2). He asks that if you agree with his work that you sign the middle copy and send it back to him with the deposit. This all sounds great until you try to get him on the phone to confirm that he received the contract and money. When I did, he had no clue what I was talking about and asked that I send him an email with the details of the job. So I obliged, sent him a copy of the contract, photos of the location, and a description of the work. Again… silence from him to a point that I asked for him to refund my money, but after a brief list of excuses and an offer of a discount, I said we could continue and booked the first day of install. When Mark showed up to the job, not only was he not prepared, but he asked me what work was being done and asked me if I had a copy of the contract. Are you kidding me?! Regardless, the work he did was spotty at best, didn’t provide me everything I was quoted, and just over a year later I have had to call him out to my property three times to fix his work. Might I add that it still doesn’t work, and he is now unresponsive even though the work was under a 4-year warranty. Well, what good is a warranty if you can’t rely on getting the repairs you need?
I am more than willing to give people a chance, but this is above a beyond what is acceptable.

After our door was replaced the locksmith was not able to get our remote door release working. Mark fixed our remote door release quickly and without extra materials.
