To start off it was a good ambiance. It’s a small restaurant that offers lunch specials and a long menu with many options. We came for dinner and ordered a bento box that included California roll, teriyaki chicken, chicken katzu, rice, lettuce and a soup. It cost 13.99. We also ordered chow mein with chicken (options available chicken, beef, or veggies) butttt we received fried rice with chicken.
The food didn’t stand out. It needed more flavor and was kind of bland. It was also a small serving for the price. We definitely might come back to support the business but it will not be our first choice for Chinese/​Japanese take out.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced and the staffs are really friendly. Lunch specials are good portion and cheap.

I normally enjoy the service more than the food which is strange but today the service was sooooo slow. Food was delicious but I can do without the slow service

All I got to say is for to-​go you get charged a bag fee without being asked if. a bag is needed. To top it all off, true fact isn’t San Mateo bag fee is suppose to be 25 cents as of January 1,2015. Someone please explain to me why this place charges 29 cents. Kick rocks and keep the 4 cents. let’s see where it will take your restaurant.

The sushi rolls and bento boxes are pretty affordable. They also have a lunch menu from 11 – 4 pm where the entrees and bento boxes are almost half price. The quality of the food isn’t the greatest out there but nonetheless it’s still tasty.
I always place my orders for pickup, either over the phone or through the Eat 24 app and I’ve never had any issues. They’re really quick with preparing food and they’re super friendly.

Been coming here for years now… Prices have raised significantly and quantity and quality have gone down. And they now no longer let you substitute on your lunch specials which is extremely lame. Need to find a new spot!

I’ve been here twice and both time the food was exceptional!
There was no wait, our table was fairly spacious, the interior was clean and neat.
We ordered a roll with a combination of mango, tuna, salmon, and slight roe which really brings out the crunchy, and the sashimi taste. It was amazing!
The wings was super flavorful and it tasted like the infamous sung tung wings. Instead of going to Sung Tung, waiting for 1 hour plus in the cold. I would rather come here for the wings. MUST TRY!
The salmon fried rice is a must along with the wings.
Wings/​Sauce + Salmon fried rice = incredible!
I really like the fact how they have salmon fried rice rather than a typical beef or pork fried rice.
Last item was the salmon/​mango California roll. The huge sliced of salmon on top was so fresh and the mango slices was soft and sweet. Compared to some Japanese restaurant with slightly crunchy mangoes, it doesn’t really taste good when the mango is crunchy with sliced salmon sashimi.
Totally worth it and affordable! Will be back!

Food was great, they are good people. I had the beef soup with sushi, my date had the fish and vegetable dish. Soup was great and the fish and vegetable dish was awesome. I don’t know why all the negative reviews. I liked it.

1^st time trying this place. It’s cheap and super convenient to order online (plus you get free stuff after you spend a certain amount, which rocks). Delivery took a long time, like 40 – 45 minutes, but the food was warm and it was really good. I didn’t love the teriyaki beef because it was chewy, overcooked, and sinuous. but the chicken and salmon were tender and delicious. The salad & California rolls were basic, but I really liked that they have a perfect protein to rice ratio. So the lunch boxes were great, and really filling (for under $ 8), I’m excited to return and try some of their special rolls! We’ll definitely be back to this place.

I know the reviews on this page are pretty mixed but I still wanted to give it a try since they’re the only sushi place near me that actually delivers. I’ve only ordered from here twice and I never have any problems. I was craving sushi tonight so I placed an order at about 7:30PM. I ordered a dragon roll with two orders of rock n roll. It’s cool that you get a free item if you order past a certain amount… so I opted for the fried rice. It came in a decent amount of time, I would say 45 mins tops. The fried rice was still hot when it got to me, which is great. The sushi was okay but I wouldn’t say it’s amazing. There are other sushi places that are definitely way better but if I don’t feel like driving, this is probably gonna be the place I order from.

Did not like it at all. First the guy on the phone did not understand a word. I orderd something complete different than i got. They delivered me some extreme thin and stale chicken pieces with a tiny amount of salad and rice which took them over an hour.
Never again!

I gave sad review before and today came to update with a better review.
After a few weeks, I ordered food here again. Today the quality is much better !
1. I ordered above $ 30+ and suppose to select one of the free dishes before I finishing ordering but I forgot. I call the restaurant immediately and they accept to add to my order and they did. (While it happened before I selected and they forgot to delivery)
2. I order the Sz fish under seafood and I actually tasted some pieces this time. while before it was less than 4 pieces of fish and whole bottle of vegi!!(it reminded me a little sad memories and how disappointed I was)
3. Will come back again every week as long as the food amount and quality is fair.

Don’t order from this place. I ordered my food for delivery and the guy was 20 minutes late. I did not give any tip and before he left. He demanded tip from me. Who the fuck does that??? And said no one will deliver here anymore. That’s fine, I just won’t order from this place anymore, fucken idiot. It’s like they don’t want any customers. Horrible service.

This place was my go to during high school! Then, they had better choices and great tasty food. After my recent visit, the sushi, especially the seaweed was like eating plastic. Couldn’t even chew on it!
The chicken teriyaki tasted like it’s from a day before. Very gross! I feel like they save the previous food from the day or maybe two before and still serve it.
I had great experience with you then but things change, so you’re forgiven I suppose! But I won’t be back here anymore.

I like that they have both Chinese and Japanese food to choose from however, flavor is not on point here and the chow mein is quite greasy. They should also be more thorough when removing bones from chicken when preparing a boneless dish. It ruined everything for me once I bit into and spitted out bone. Sort of like when you’re eating an egg and you bite into a shell.

Just ordered take out today from this place for the first time. We ordered Hot & Sour Soup, Fried Tofu w/​String Beans, California Roll, Combo Chow Mein, and Short ribs with Black Bean sauce & FREE fried rice since our pick up purchase was $ 25+
First off, I’ve never encountered a restaurant that catered to Chinese & Japanese food. I’m a jap food fanatic. My fave roll ever is the Lion King Roll, but since my mom ordered a lot of food already i just settled for a Cali roll. The Cali apparently is the most recommended in that store that it even has a sign from EAT24. First, the cali roll was warm and the consistency of the crab meat was off. I couldnt tell whether they use imitation or real crab. The meat was white colored though. Anyway. Hot and Sour soup was really good, I definitely recommend even though I should’ve asked for extra bamboo shoots. The String beans were really crunchy the way i like it, wish they had added more tofu though. There were literally only like 4 pieces in it. Free fried rice FTW, should have a little bit more soy sauce but the consistency was my fave. It wasn’t pieced at all. Can’t say much about short ribs because it wasn’t for me. Chow mein was okay, typical. But they use FAT large pieces of onion though. Like too much to handle for one slice.
When I picked up the food, there weren’t that many people there. Maybe 2 tables filled up. The sushi bar is misleading because its literally at waist height, when I know sushi bar’s are more higher with taller seats. Their sashimi seemed odd to me, I wouldn’t order sashimi here. But i’ll definitely come back to try their lunch menus.

Ordered deliver and I live about a 5 minute drive away from there yet it took about 75 – 80 minutes.
As for the food, its more on the japanese end in terms of portion size and the quality is so-​so. I ordered the curry chicken lunch special, unagi don lunch special and seaweed salad. The curry chicken was okay but the portions were borderline too small. The quality of the unagi was… okay. The portion of the seaweed salad was too small for the price and the miso soup tasted like its from an instant package. This is definitely one of the last resort takeout places. I hope they step it up.

Ordered through Eat24 and it took a little over an hour to arrive. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, given the low price points and reviews. I got some generic rolls and though they were well made for a budget sushi place. Pretty solid if you have a sushi craving but don’t want to spend too much money. $ 20 will get you 3 simple rolls or 2 special rolls, which is pretty good in terms of value.

My first time trying this… and i must say. i found another to add to my favorite and go-​to places. I had the katsu don n honey walnut shrimp. The katsu don is so flavorful and everything delicious. The honey walnut shrimp… on point. The sake nigiri i also tasted was delish! Dishes were clean n the restaurant is clean. Prices… average/​cheap… n worth every bite n penny.
