Thank you to Willie and his crew for helping us host our daughter’s christening last weekend. My husband and I were so sick that we could not do much other than to show up. Everything went without a hitch. The food was excellent. The décor was wonderful. The staff was very professional and friendly. Two weeks prior we hosted my dad’s 65th birthday dinner and it was just as stellar. Can’t wait to come back to host our next family event!

Worst customer service and unreliable. Ordered belly lechon for a birthday party, order was confirmed twice. When picking up the order, they didn’t have it. The lady whom I think is the owner offered regular lechon instead which I didn’t have any choice but to take it. But my mom’s birthday party was ruined because of their unreliability. Had to wait an hour to get the lechon which had to be delivered from another restaurant. I will not order or eat from this restaurant ever again. If there was a no star review, I’ll give them no star.

Came in today & brought my Aunt in for her first time. She wasn’t thrilled with the food — one of those things where she believes she can cook better than they can kind of thing. Ok, I get it. She only went up once & then only wanted the halo-halo after she ate her meal. I don’t cook Filipino food as much as I would want to because it just doesn’t happen. And this place instantly satisfies for me nonetheless. One thing I learned today — the halo-halo dessert is included with the buffet! Yum! … Good lunch buffet to satisfy my Filipino food cravings. I really like their soups and their pinakbet dishes too. Restaurant has a modern feel and their bathrooms are clean. They even have Kamayan meals. I’d definitely recommend others to come here. Tons of parking and you can walk off your meal by visiting the other businesses in this shopping area afterwards.

Best Filipino restaurant I’ve been to in the area. Ambience is warm and accommodating; staff is super friendly, courteous, and responsive; most importantly, food is wonderful and first-rate. Great experience from start to finish. Gotta try it if you’re in the area. Also caters onsite and offsite. Lechon is imperative!

One of the nicest Filipino restaurants I have been to. We came for dinner and ordered a meat inihaw platter. I wasn’t really sure what to expect. My sole purpose what to try them out. The platter came with chicken and pork barbeque, grilled pork, crispy pata, beans, fried eggplant, okra and the mango/onion/tomato salad. It was really good. For $ 44 it could easily feed 4 – 5 adults. I was there with a friend and 3 kids and we had so much left over. I have a party coming and I’m seriously considering hosting it there. The place was nice, great ambiance, love the communal feel of the back section. They also offer tasting for their private or catering parties, so you get to finalize your party menu easier.

We shut this place down for a private event. It was cool having the entire restaurant privately to ourselves and it was reasonably priced. They allowed us to bring balloons and decorate for my nephew’s first birthday: christening. There were several long tables with about 20 people each, and each table has red linen table cloths and fabric napkins to match the theme. We had about 100 people total and it was about max capacity as there isn’t much space in there to do anything besides eat. It was my first time visiting this place and all the food was delicious! When we arrived, we were a bit early so we had to wait for the employees to set up the food but everything was fresh and hot when they unveiled the buffet! We had a strawberry walnut salad, which I didn’t try but it looked delicious. Macaroni soup which is like a «chicken» sopas with macaroni, tiny red hot dogs, ground meat and it was ok. The lumpia Shanghai was displayed on a cake stand which was really cute, crispy and seasoned perfectly, no sauce required although provided. The pancit noodles were soft and yummy, flavorful, had shrimps, and most importantly it was not inundated with vegetables like other restaurants. For those that do not know, «dinuguan» is that all black sauce dish that people call«chocolate meat» but it’s not chocolate, it’s cooked pork blood, and the«meat» consist of intestines, pork ears, etc. Not really my style but I’ll eat the«version» that is actually all pork/REAL meat, lol! The dinuguan was rich and creamy, not too vinegary and thankfully, all pork! The kare– kare sauce was on point. Rich, creamy and flavorful. The bagoong/salted shrimp paste was a bit too salty and tasted like it came out of a can but I really appreciate the kare kare which was strictly ox tail! Some places try to cheap out by using other cuts of meat because ox tail can get expensive especially in large quantities but they use real ox tail and no other meat! Veggies were freshly cooked, not soggy but a little too hard. The ox tail was a bit hard and chewy also. They should probably cook it longer so that the meat is tender. The whole roasted pig/Lechon with the crispy pork skin was on point. There’s a guy behind the counter chopping pieces as needed and I appreciate that he only cut enough to fill the small plate in front of him, instead of cutting the whole thing up and leaving it unattended. I noticed that he took his time and cared to cut the pig in segments only when needed and cut from the backside to the front side so that if someone tried to take a photo, it would still be a nice picture until the pig was completely gone. After everyone got the food, there was a girl wiping down the buffet counter surrounding the chafing dishes so it was clean and free of any debris from the people who dropped sauce, crumbs, rice, etc. There were some Lechon pork pieces that fell on the buffet counter and as she was wiping, I watched intently to see if she was going to put the meat back with the others but she wiped it on her tray instead, the way it should be. I appreciate their cleanliness. Garlic fried rice was ok. The flavor kind of disappeared underneath all the sauce and meats that I was piling on top of my plate(hey it’s a buffet) and when it ran out, I was about to scrape up the burnt rice pieces of the chafing dish in an attempt to get be last bits of rice as there was still so much meat leftover and as I was about to put the rice crumbs on my plate, a guy comes out and refills the dish with hot fresh garlic rice. Score!!! Perfect timing!!! The Bangus sisig was ok too. There were bits of tomatoe and pepper and there are no bones. They include big pieces of fish skin for anyone that likes that. It wasn’t that spicy. My husband and other people loved it but it lacked flavor in my opinion. The real star was the leche flan. It was SOOO delicious, not too soft, not too firm, and oh so creamy… They served a 1-inch square price on an individual disposable spoon and served it that way. I think I would’ve eaten 50 of those if I could they were so delicious. I’m going to have dreams about that flan tonight. There were other foods that I didn’t particularly care for. They were a couple 2 liters of sodas at the buffet station. There were water carafes at the tables but only 2 carafes per table of 20 so the girl was running to refill so frequently and everyone kept asking for more water. After the eating festivity, we cut the cake, and we started singing karaōke as the TV is hooked up to a Karaōke machine and house speaker sound system! So Filipino but definitely fun and gives us something to do other than stare at each other and talk about how full we are. Took a few of their menus for catering and will inquire the next time we need a place for a party. Thanks HApag Pilipino! 5 stars for delicious food, kind service and reasonable prices for our party. P.s it’s right next to a liquor store if you’re THAT type of partier, lol

I went here with my girlfriend’s family for her dad’s birthday. Because we had a bigger party and wanted to share the food family style, they wrapped the whole table in banana leaves and then just placed the food on top of it. My girlfriend told me it was all about Filipino culture and how they used to eat food before everything was westernized with the knife, spoon and fork. However they do still provide the knife spoon and fork if needed. The atmosphere is very family oriented. If you choose to do Tue regular dining experience, which is also a buffet style but just not everything spread out in front of you on the table, they have a pig under a heating lamp, along with several soups and various fruits and vegetables that you can mix with rice For our buffs on our table we envoy the chocolate meat, pork cooked with the blood of the animal. We also got Fish and pork belly. Our sides were also calamari, both fried and raw, and eggplant, salsa with mangos, peas, rice, and oysters Rockefeller. For desert we had Halo Halo, a Filipino ice original, which has jello, nuts, condensed milk and ice cream. The dinner as a while was azazing and it was a whole new experience eating everything with your hands. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a family fuction or looking to try something new.

I had been searching high and low for an acceptable kamayan eating experience for my boyfriend, who is half filipino. After seeing so many bad reviews of other places, I came across Hapag. I had already eaten there before for dinner once before, and the food was excellent, both in taste and in presentation. The facility was clean, and the staff was very friendly and polite. I saw that some other users had posted kamayan style dining photos to Unilocal,so I took a chance and called in. The staff accommodated my party without hesitation and set up and amazing dinner feast for us. We ordered the combo platter and added lumpia shanghai and the pork sinigang. It was so much food! Four hungry adults could not finish all that food. Thank you so much! Five stars!

Hapag, turned out to be a nice little place. Came in for crispy pata. The weakness gets me as to turn all the diet and exercise out the window. Some time you have to say why not you deserve the delicious crunchy meatness of Pata. So you place your order, pay, and go to pacific super for ten to fifteen minutes. When you get back your hot and crispy pata is waiting for you. You get one piece for $ 11 and two for $ 16. So I have four mouths to feed so I go with the two pieces. Bargain! Steal, I get home and get the plates out, plus the rice. Forget utensils because this is a prime meal you eat withy your hands and teeth. It comes with soy sauce with vinegar. To be used as a dip or pour it on the rice. Regards nothing was left the bones where clean and everyone is full!!! Gotta try more on the menu or even come for the buffet.

$ 14.99 for weekend lunch is SO expensive for cheap, plain entrée options. Example: * Kare kare * Fried bangus * Vegetable(chop suey) * Tuyo * Dessert: cut fruit like cantaloupe and watermelon * They will give you a ticket for lechon and halo-halo at the end There is no excitement when you see the food options because they are choices that you can cook up yourself in 10 mins or less. They should consider more special Filipino CUISINE. The only appeal is that everything is new(tables, chairs, lighting). The staff was kind, welcoming, and explained how the ticket system works for the lechon and halo-halo. Hapag Pilipino may appear charming, but I’d rather spend my $ buying a la carte options for MUCH cheaper elsewhere or go to Gateway Kitchen and spend $ 4 for the same food.

Before coming to this place I did my research on the food and the reviews, to see what I was gonna get myself into. Unfortunately I didn’t find that this place lived up to they hype or the review. I just wanna start off my review with saying I’m not Pilipino. But I did grow up eating Pilipino foods and my wife is Pilipino, which helps me to have a little more of a well reminded take on some of the food from the culture. But with that being said, the food lacked flavor and options. Some of the good didn’t even seem to have salt or pepper on it. I understand you need to keep it as neutral as possible because everyone has different flavor palates. But there’s only so much you came at without any flavor. They had options like: white rice, garlic rice and Pilipino friend rice, it seemed to be the best in my opinion. The friend chicken looked dry but was actually juicy and tender. Despite being under a heat lamp. The pancit had pineapple in it which left a very strange aftertaste to it that my wife and I didn’t like. Now I found out that they change their menu regularly which is pretty good to know because you won’t eat the same food. Unfortunately that means it’s a hit or miss with the food the day you go in to eat. But I found the Resturant to be very clean and well maintained. The staff here are very friendly and professional. Minus the food, I enjoyed being here and hope to come back to try the menu on another day. Overall this place has great potential and I can’t wait to try it all over again.
