We went through about 7 or 8 estimates before we decided on hiring Jose and his crew to paint the house in the outer Sunset district. Their rates were competitive but were well worth every penny. Jose and his foreman, Johnny… were always available to answer questions and make suggestions. The crew was courteous, pleasant and highly professional. They even did some extra work and without an «extra» charge. They showed up early every day and cleaned up before they left at night. I just can’t say enough nice things about Jose and his crew… especially Johnny. The house looks great.

Jose and his guys are outstanding. They painted the exterior of our house and now it looks brand new. The job was done well and completed on time.
Jose returned all our emails and phone calls within 12 hours. His estimate was clear and specific, as was the contract. Jose arrived right on time for our initial consultation, and his crew arrived early every day. The crew was pleasant, courteous, and respectful of our needs. They worked hard, all day, and paid attention even to tiny details. The prep work was meticulous, as was the actual painting. After the paint job was completed, Jose personally removed all their equipment, swept and washed our back patio, garage, and driveway, and answered our final questions.
We hope to add a bathroom to our house someday. We will contact Jose Lemus for that job, too.

Jose did a great job repairing some rotted wood and retaining posts in my back yard. The whole area was in danger of falling down completely.
Jose replaced the wood and retaining posts and fixed up the stairs involved, too.

Jose did repairs to dry rot in several areas in my building and fixed /​replaced doors. His bid was written clearly and priced competitively and he completed the work on time and without additional costs. Everything looks good and works properly now. I needed to repair the outside staircase/​deck to my building in SF, as it had severe weather damage. I had 4 contractors come out for a free estimate and he was the only one who took pictures of the issues that needed to be addressed, and wrote down my ideas and concerns. He did not give me a ballpark immediately but by the next day I had an itemized estimate in my inbox, outlining exactly what fixes were recommended and even the brand of products he would use. His estimate came in higher than the other three contractors, but when someone pays that much attention to detail it’s hard to ignore, and those ballpark bids are so off the cuff you wonder if they are lust low-​balling you to get you to give them the job.
The job he did was well done with no outstanding issues, and he cleaned up the area as if he was never even there. Jose is a very mellow guy, easy to talk to, with good attention to detail. I will only use him from now on for any construction/​handyman project that I need done.

Jose Lemus does all sorts of new and remodeling construction. I used his servcies for a bathroom remodel and was impressed with his professionalism. He works fast and clean, and does it right the first time. He is also a decent guy and more than willing to discuss options with you. I am demanding customer but would not change a thing he did. Rates, especially his fixed bids, are very competitive. I will use again.
