Okay, this store was GREAT! The ONLY reason they didn’t get 5 stars, is because while prices were lower in some places, they were a tad higher in others… though not in the purchase I made, but in future purchases I was pricing ahead of time for repeat business. And I WILL repeat with them even if the price point isn’t perfect because of their willingness to not only work with me on a cost, but no lying, or dragging me through the coals to get the sale.
Now, this is a small hide-​away store right outside the Shaw AFB back gate that I stumbled on, but in the future (since the area/​land is being bought by the base) the owner said they’ll be moving to another spot, but still open to business. It’s small, and a bit warm (AC wasn’t running) but had a good, and quality selection, plus willing to order from the same vendors as others.
The sales man/​owner, Chuck, was great! He didn’t try to over sale me on anything, and was more than willing to negotiate a price to make a good/​guaranteed sale. I found the table in the catalog (a beautiful maple pub height table, with extension leaf, and 6 matching chairs) which I had looked at and priced elsewhere. Without even negotiation, Chuck quoted me $ 610 for the table… already $ 40 under the previous lowest cost! After taxes and delivery ($ 30) it was $ 682, and he said without hesitation that he could do it all for $ 650.
So, all included, he was AT the price of his previous low cost competition and they were at that price WITHOUT delivery and taxes!
Finally, the winning sale for Chuck, just like I said to previous stores. I’m here with cash, no fees to process, and don’t need financing. I will buy right this NOW, what if we do it all included for $ 630? Chuck paused for 5 seconds, then said, you look like a good guy… let’s sign the paperwork.
SOLD, out the door: delivery, taxes, EVERYTHING for $ 630 beating out ALL the competition and gaining a repeat customer for my future dinning room (formal), living room upgrade, and guest room needs. Possibly even a King Bed upgrade from Queen in the master bedroom later too. He’s got my business thanks to honest work, and a willingness to actually make a sale.
If you’re in the need for furniture (of any kind) I highly recommend this location (soon to move though), thanks to quality service, a willing-​ness to strike a deal, and selling quality furniture from the same provider as all the local competition!
