Sandwich was okay. Dinner buffet was okay. Pack your lunch instead.

I’ve tried this place two times now and I must say that it might be the worse place in Damascus. We were riding the creeper trail and friends wanted to go here and I had a bad experience the first time but I thought I would give them a second chance. Their burgers are microwaved and the orders have been wrong both times I’ve been there. Never again…

What a great lunch spot at the halfway point of the Creeper trail! Sweet spot with lots of outdoor seating. We had a buffalo chicken wrap with onion rings and a Hawaiian sandwich with sweet potato fries. All excellent. We also closed with a Neiman Marcus bar. Yum! Fast and friendly service.

Couldn’t ask for a better way to end the creeper trail! Nice cozy place with friendly employees. Lots of out door seating and a place to park your bike. Burger and sweet potato fries were delish. And would highly recommend the ice cream. I really enjoyed the butter pecan ice cream. :) *and free wifi here

After 17 miles of riding the trails, this is one of only a handful of eateries in the area. It was a welcomed stop and they had a full menu consisting of sandwiches, burgers, fries, and more. The burger and sandwich was good and this certainly fits the bill. They have plenty of indoor seating and a nice patio as well. The staff was friendly. When I was there, they had the entire business up for sale. Are you the next owners?

I get it. If youv’e been hiking the Appalachian Trail and eating twigs and bark for a month, this food is probably better than that. Maybe I just came on a bad day. In August 2011, I ordered a French dip. It was raw deli meat with cold au jus. The flavor was also off and I thought the meat may be spoiled. Since it was so cheap, I threw it in the trash can and ordered a grilled cheese instead. The grilled cheese came out, and it was evident the cheese was not melted. The bread was dry and I could tell it came from a the microwave(it was ready in under 60 seconds; there were no grill marks from a stove top). It was more disgusting than the raw French dip. I put it in the trash where it belonged. I decided to try my luck with a Blizzard. Or so the mixing machine said on the side. But after ordering it, I wached and realized the machine was broken. The girl stirred in the ingredients in by hand and not even very well. I suspect the ice cream was not Blizzard either, because the taste was off. My father had a similar experience, but he ate his. He was in the Peace Corps for three years in Cameroon and it takes a lot to make him turn his nose up at bad food. For me, it was three strikes. I was SHOCKED a few months ago to see this restaurant documented on a special on The Appalachian Trail as one of the better places. I felt compelled to warn the world. I can almost guarantee if this place were built where I live in Richmond, it would go out of business just as quickly as it opened. «Location, location, location» they say… and I guess if it’s within such easy access to the trail, they have a constant new customer base.

We come here every time we’re vacationing in the Mt. Rogers NRA. Good food, friendly service, nice outdoor seating.

After being soaked on a mountain while looking for salamanders, these good folks’ cheeseburgers and fries were just right for the very, very low price. The meat and trimmings all were good quality and fresh, far better than typical inexpensive burgers. The seating’s nice, and the atmosphere certainly would have been much nicer if the storm that soaked us hadn’t followed us. This seems to be a common stop for people along the Virginia Creeper Tail. And the ice cream is *rich*. Perfect follow-up for a yummy burger.
