Sparky’s Pizza

False advertisement at this place. Website claims to have pizza by the slice plus a drink for 4.50 before 4pm. I drove from Portland to Damascus (40 min round trip) just to be told they dont have. When i said the website listed that special was told they were sorry but not at that location.

I have been going to the Damascus Sparky’s for a number of years now. They have always been a good solid pizza place not far from my home. There is something like 4 or 5 other pizza shops closer than Sparky’s but they just are not as good.
Anyway, I was feeling the Sparky’s and looking around at the online menu, I typically would get the Midtown Classic, the Chicago or a simple Pepperoni & Mushroom. But I saw something that I am pretty sure is new, as in like new May 2016 new. A pizza called «The Roast», from the «Pizza on Tour» section of the menu.
It is whole clove roasted garlic, pepperoni, salami, and Mozzarella. I was curious and gave it a try. That pizza just opened a whole new angle to Sparky’s. I am not sure if I will order anything other than «The Roast» for a long time.
This pizza does not appear on the paper menu. I have only seen it online. But I have got it from Damascus Sparky’s on May 30^th 2016. I wish I could get another online only listing called «The Brooklyn» Pepperoni, Linguica, cherry peppers. But alas, every Sparky’s that I have tried gives me a puzzled look when I ask for that one. It is the Linguica, they don’t have it, and otherwise they would make me one. I was half expecting to be told the same when I ordered «The Roast».
Anyways, a prior reviewer mentions «The Roast», and includes an accurate photo of what it looks like. I highly recommend that pizza. Like most people in America, I have eaten a fair share of pizza in my life, and this one stood out as one of the best tasting pizzas ever.
Sparky’s has been a favorite because of the crust, crunchy chewy, and big enough to have «Bones», but not too big of bones that you feel cheated on toppings. The sauce is seasoned just enough to let you know it is there, and all the meats, cheeses and veggies have always been good quality. Put all together on even a pepperoni & mushroom pie, and it’s better than most, but I am not kidding about «The Roast». It was just so awesome that I am putting down 400 words in a praise-​a-​thon about it. Even though I only have had it one time, and from a pizza place that I have been going to for over 5 years and ordering something other than that.

I finally found a reasonably priced take out pizza place with AMAZINGLY good pizza. We got the family special which came with a large pizza, parmesan bread sticks, and a liter of soda. Everything was perfection. We ordered «The Roast» pizza and it was so good!

I was told about Sparky’s pizza and decided to try it, I visited the Sparky’s in Damascus .The pizza was cooked perfect, fresh ingredients, excellent dough, and reasonable price. The service was also excellent,

Ordered their party pack (3 pizzas, soda and bread sticks) for a party and the pizzas were huge and delicious the bread sticks were some of the best I’ve ever had. Everyone loved it! Will definitely order form here again!

Don’t let the «slices for sale to go» sign outside their storefront fool you. They open @3 in the afternoon and by 6pm you can’t buy a single slice. Only whole pizzas. 5 stars –2 for false advertisement.

It’s pretty good pizza at a reasonable price. They have coupons that they stick on your pizza box that will save you some $$$ on your next visit.

Very delicious pizza. Its worth the wait. Not that expensive and the quality is top notch.

My boyfriend is really picky when it comes to pizza. He read the reviews on Unilocal and wanted to give Sparky’s a try.
First, the young lady who took our order was very friendly and helpful. She suggested we get the party pack since we ordered a specialty and a reg. pizza. She saved us money and the party pack included breadsticks and a 2– litter of pop. :)
Second, the pizza was perfect! Not over loaded with sauce. You can actually taste the pizza! Lots of pepperoni too.
The Margherita pizza was amazing! Vegetables were fresh and they put large thick slices of mozzarella cheese. They certainly did not skimp on ingredients!
Give it a try if you want to taste the actual pizza instead of it’s sauce. :)

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Give it a try you won’t be sorry. They are always busy for a reason, it’s great pizza.

Worked here for two years and I still love to come back home and order pizza and breadsticks. After living in New York I can attest that their pizza lives up to their «NY pizza» claims.

We thought this pizza was delicious! Fresh ingredients and very reasonably priced for the quality. The center was a little soggy, but it was likely because there was a lot of toppings. We will definitely be back!

We have ordered from Sparky’s in Damascus a two times now. We ordered the same pizza each time. First time the pizza was everything you could ask for. The crust was nice and crispy outside, soft inside. Sause tasted fresh and natural. The rest of the toppings fresh and tasty.
The second time ordering the pizza was a little disappointing. The center of the pizza was soggy and the cheese and toppings separated from the crust.
Overall I would rather have this pizza then any chain around here but I it seems a little hit and miss.

FANTASTIC PIZZA! Love the cheese pizza! Wish they had a bigger «eat in» area! Friendly staff! Hours are a bit odd but it is a take out resturant so understand.

A friend introduced me to this little gem about a year ago. I later moved to Happy Valley and was delighted to discover a location very close to me in Damascus. There are SO many pizza joints out there and you probably want to know what sets this place apart. One word: the crust. I can’t honestly describe it, but there’s just something special about it. It’s not too thick or too thin, but has a spectacular crispy/​crunchiness about it. The sauce isn’t too spicy, too sweet or too bland. They offer every topping imaginable. Okay, not sweet corn, but I lived in England for a while, so maybe I’ve developed odd tastes. One thing I will suggest: a schtick. If you’re not afraid of carbs, 99 cents will buy you the most delectable, hot, fluffy, buttery, garlic-​y thing you can imagine. Thinking about sharing one? Don’t. Relationships are fragile enough. Lastly, don’t come to Sparky’s for the ambiance. It’s about good pizza (did I mention their schticks?) at a good price. Ask about their specials and coupons too. And, please, don’t race me there at 8 pm (not all locations offer this and time varies, so call first) for the $ 1 per slice deal. A girl’s gotta eat. :)

Just okay. Pizza was a little on the greasy side for me and didn’t really have much flavor to speak of. I’d seek out other options, although there aren’t many, if you are having a pizza craving.
