We went biking over the weekend and I did have fun but my issue is with the staff. I left my backpack on there trailer at closing and went back the next morning at 8 am to pick it up. It was obvious they went through it since they found my name and wrote it on the front. I am very unhappy that a pair of sunglasses and a mini projector was missing. No one seems to know what happened to those items. Oh well.

Did nothing to fix the fact that the pedal on the bike came off only a few miles in to the ride.

This store is an one-stop-shop for hikers, biker, or campers. It offers a large variety of biking gears and equipments in many available brands. This is a good stop along the TransAmerica Trail to pick up much needed gears, equipment, or light weight snacks. The prices can be a liitle bit high but quality is assured. I highly recommend this store for bikers.

The store was pretty awesome, each worker was friendly and inviting. They answered all of my questions regarding the gear and travel expenses in Damascus, and their dog, while dirty, was adorable and friendly.

The store is very large and has a large array of gear for biking but especially hiking and camping. There were also many souvenirs and tchotchkes available for purchase. The prices were a bit high on some items, but they were also many items that were strictly unique to the town of Damascus which made them worth it. This appears to be the one-stop shop for many bikers who are traversing along the TransAmerican trail, which allows for some great once-in-a-lifetime conversations but it also becomes a spot where bikers and hikers find partners to continue the trip with.

The store owners were so nice! When I walked into the store a worker was eating a snack and asked if I wanted to try some. He even went on to offer the whole place free samples of what he was eating.

A really large outfitters store in the small town of Damascus with a great variety of outfitting equipments for biking, hiking, camping, kayaking and canoeing. A little pricey, but great quality of products. If you looking for a good brand, or something specific, or even something rare, this is the store for you. The location is also really convenient.

This store is great! They have a large selection of trail outfitting clothing, shoes, gear, and food! I highly suggest stopping by the Sundog Outfitter when you are in Damascus to pick up a great souvenir along the Trans American trail.

Bikers were satisfied! I didn’t use Sundog Outfitter services, but the bikers that we met, who did, were very satisfied. It’s a friendly shop, with great services. It has a good location, close to food places.

This store had a very large selection of bikes and gear, and it is right beside the end of the trail and a great coffee shop! Not to mention there was a dog in the store!

These guys are the real deal. We just rented through them our bikes and the ride to White Top mountain. They couldn’t have been more professional. I will rent from these guys again in the fall. Do not hassle with your bike rent from these guys and you will not be sorry. Completely hassle free.

Bringing your lunch from home is cheaper than take-out, allows you better control over what you eat as well as portion size, and keeps take-out containers from going into landfills. Plastic food containers are petroleum-derived, need to be replaced(the«disposables» that have become popular), and are the subject of concern regarding the leaching of chemicals into food. I found Sundog Outfitter, a camping/hiking/adventure store through an online search for stainless steel food containers. They carry tiffin boxes(multi-tiered food carriers used in South and Southeast Asia) in a variety of sizes. The prices for the Zebra brand tiffins they sell are higher than tiffins I found elsewhere, but the Zebra tiffins are made of heavy-gauge stainless steel where the others were made of aluminum or unidentified metals. The tiffins I purchased from Sundog are much sturdier than even other stainless steel tiffins offered elsewhere. The compartments don’t seal the way plastic containers do, depending on the tension of the handle clamp to keep the tiers closed tightly. They aren’t completely leakproof, as a result, but are more than spill-proof with typical use and travel. Stainless steel is not only durable, it’s inert(doesn’t react with food), dishwasher-safe, and is stain– and odor-proof. While the containers can’t be microwaved, they can be heated on a stove top(or over a fire, as per Sundog’s website). Sundog’s shipping is prompt and the tiffins were packaged carefully. My tiffins helped me to cut down on the plastic I keep in the house, don’t need a plastic bag to be brought to work, and proved cat-proof the day I left my lunch sitting on the kitchen table. The tiffin had been knocked to the floor, but the clamp held everything together with no spillage, despite the fall.
