This place is a hidden GEM… the food is very good, and fresh! Very friendly service and helpful in recommending what’s good…(it all has been super good so far) I can’t wait for football season to start again to go back to watch some FOOTBALL!!! They also have some kind of Happy Hour and some unique beers, and drinks!

Came here for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious! It’s a small little place that serves a selection of breakfast items and a variety of deli sandwiches. My wife got the west coast toast which was toasted garlic cheese bread with cream cheese and topped with avocado, tomato and drizzled with olive oil and lemon pepper… phenomenal! I got the creek croissant which came with eggs, cheese, ham, bacon, and tomatoes and was decent, but hers was better! Friendly service and fairly quick. You can also bring your dogs and sit on the covered patio, they put a little water bowl outside for them, nice touch! We will be back soon for the west coast toast!

Stayed at the Ritz and went over to this place called The Beach Hut. This place is horrible. The food is as inauthentic as their surf theme and the service is even worse. There was hair in the food and reading other reviews of this place only confirms a serious level of incompetence for this place as a business. The Beach Hut is a complete disservice to the area as well. It’s also just so trashy. This is a post to The Beach Hut Unilocal page made by an unfortunate customer to this place on 2÷14÷15, which can be found on page two of the review section complete with a picture. «Bug Sandwich… Ordered a couple sandwiches to go which ended up being covered in bugs. Not just one or two, we are talking about 20 – 30 bugs. And this is after I already ate the larger half. FML… When I called to complain, the manager told me she made them herself and therefor my claim couldn’t be possible. However, if I wanted to come back she would buy me a beer. Enjoy the pics and videos of the bug filled pastrami.» Anyone would be better off going anywhere else.

Love this place!!! The patio is dog friendly, the crew is kind and happy to have pets on the patio. Stopped by and was pleasantly surprised by the awesome breakfast sandwiches! The wakie bakie is AWESOME! The food is fresh and you get a lot for your money! Great spot for vegetarians and gluten free peeps. There is also a great craft beer selection. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Excellent deli. The sandwich sizes are huge and the ingredients fresh. I stopped here while on vacation and I’m so glad I did. I’ll be back. I had the Surfin Pig.

Great sub-type sandwiches, and one of the few good sandwich shops in the area. Check it out if you want a good, meaty sandwich made right –I can’t stand Subway or Quiznos — so this place is a step above with creative choices that are very satisfying.

Best sandwiches here in the beach cities! Bloodys are great; coldest draft beer and the TVs in each booth make it a must! Salt creek beach below– a beach must after the games!

My husband and I ate her today and had the Santa Cruz, hot pastrami and it was seriously the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Bursting with flavor and the service is fantastic. Each girl working harder than the next. Surprise find

2nd time here and last time. It just had slow service all around, especially since I had a take out order. Waited for 10 mins for someone to help me. Then the food is just bland like my last time here. Compared to Board and Brew. This place is a thumbs down and Beach hut deli prices are way over priced for mediocre food.

There are a lot of things that this place is doing right! — First, BEER and/or drinks with sandwiches. Makes sitting out on the deck that much more appealing. Tip: open a tab if you’re going to want more than one beer but don’t want to wait int he line. — Second, HUGE menu of options. I went with the Hawaiian salad – had a kick to the pulled pork, nicely tempered by the sweetness of the pineapple on the salad. — Third, HUGE portions, either you don’t finish or you probably have some to take with you. A few people could barely get their mouth’s around these sandwiches. But what I love even more, is that they have different salad and sandwich size options. I really think that is awesome and not always offered at Deli’s!

Sooo easy to give this sandwich shop a quick 4-stars after only one visit… You order at the counter… from very accommodating staff members… and they bring your order to your table, booth or in a bag if you’re doing a «to-go.» Mid-day today, Saturday, we split a large Monterey and a bowl of their tomato bisque soup. The sandwich, as promised on their website and in their menu… was HUGE! Thankfully, they don’t skimp on the avocado. They have two veggie sandwiches, the Monterey and the Californian. Our Monterey came with numerous, thick slices of fresh, green avocado, along with fresh tomato, red onions, Swiss cheese, cream cheese(their signature add), and because they were out of sprouts, ample baby-spinach leaves.(see my photo) Add to a complete and very tempting menu of humongous and comforting sandwiches, they have a liquor license… which translates to «beer on tap.» Along with flat screen TV’s inside each of the booths, and outdoor seating, you just can’t go wrong. We stopped here in Dana today because I wanted a preview of what the new Mission Viejo location might be like. I checked out the corporate website, and if I understood it right, some or all of the stores are«franchises.» I say«some or all», because they may have some company owned locations.(CKE… Carl’s Jr./Hardy’s… is made up of both). Casual, comfortable and reasonably priced, this is definitely going to give Tutor and Spunky’s, Dana Point, a run for the money. Although T&S’s «squaw bread» option and large sandwiches will continue to be a draw for us… plus… I like supporting small independent businesses like T& S’s; especially when they show a dedication to excellence. And I’ll go out on a short limb and say that Beach Hut Grill, although a franchise, looks like a well thought out concept. And more importantly, the execution of that concept seems to be working well, and the customers are the winners. But I must acknowledge that Beach Hut Grill has taken«sandwiches» to another level… both via the sandwich itself, and also in the physical appointments of their restaurants. It’s like a BJ’s, only more«surf-ee», and more«relaxed… Dude!»

My son and I came by here the other day to grab some food to-go. With great salads and sandwiches, good customer service, and a fun beach vibe, the Beach Hut Deli is a nice stop for a quick bite to eat while in Dana Point. We waited for our food on their nice, relaxing patio. While the inside of the restaurant had just a few booths, the patio had plenty of wonderful seating. With our great SoCal weather, we will definitely have to sit outside on our next visit here. My son ordered the roast beef sandwich. With tons of delicious roast beef, cheese, tomato, pickles, lettuce on a soft french roll, my son thoroughly enjoyed his sandwich. I ordered the barbecue chicken salad. My salad was quite tasty. With lots of tender chicken slathered in their wonderful BBQ sauce and loaded with plenty of tomato, onion, melted cheese, and pieces of bacon on a fresh bed of lettuce, my salad was delicious. Even though the salad was a half order, it was very filling. Customer service is really good here. When we waited on the patio, they brought our food out to us and made sure to ask if there was anything else we needed. Everyone seemed nice and helpful here. For a quick lunch on the way to the beach or a relaxing meal on their patio, the Beach Hut Deli has great food at reasonable prices. We look forward to having a meal on their patio really soon!
