Mike is a good guy

Just got a killer bike and a great deal from Mike. Great to the point service, in and out. Bike works great and cruises! Stoked not having to park at the top and walk down to surf.

I bought 4 new pedal beach bikes from another store, had them delivered to my house and assembled them. I was unable to figure out how to properly adjust the hand brakes and brake pads. My car is not big enough to haul 1 bike let alone 4 bikes so I called Mike and asked if he would come to my house to double check my work. He agreed and stopped over on a Saturday night after he closed the store. He adjusted all the brakes and pads on all 4 bikes. I did not road test any of the bikes. After Mike left and I was putting the bikes away I noticed that some of the wheels were not spinning freely. I called him right away and he said that the brakes were tight and that they would loosen up as we rode the bikes. I had to go out of town the next day so I was not able to ride the bikes. A couple of weeks later Mike stopped by my house again and readjusted the brakes on all 4 bikes. Aside from us not riding the bikes Mike found that the front wheel on 2 of the bikes was warped, causing the rims to catch on the brake pads. Mike adjusted the brake pads as much as he could. All of the bikes now roll smoothly and we are excited to put some miles on our new bikes. Thanks Mike for being flexible to do the work at my house when I was unable to take the bikes to your store.

My son and I went in to look at motorized bikes. Mike helped us, he showed us a bike that he said was a collector item. We told him we wanted an everyday rider and didn’t care about collecting Mopeds, where he assure us it was. So we bought it. He said he needed to get it ready, so my son came back an hour later. At that time it still was not running but Mike said he just need to get a spark plug and he had to go all over town to find one. After a couple of hours I called my son and found out, it still was not ready. So I asked to talk to Mike, he said he needed more time. So I asked how much and he said maybe 30 mins. I then told him to take whatever time he needed. If it wasn’t done in 30 mins, I would come pick up my son and let him have it all day tomorrow. I asked him to simply, tell us what he thinks we should do. He somehow took offense to that, and said that he wasn’t planning on sell it. I then told him that the bike was in his shop, he gave us a price for and he took our money, so it that’s not ready to sell, I don’t know what is. He then got off the phone with me and gave my son a ear full, what a asshole, picking on a young boy. My son then mortified, called me, tell me that I need to be nice or he will give us our money back. The funny thing is I never raised my voice in any way with him. So about 4 hrs later my son drives up on the moped, exhausted. He said that it wouldn’t go up hill without him getting off and running alongside and that when he put the clutch in the engine would die. So I took a look at it more closely, first thing I could see was that the muffler look like it was too small for the engine, so it wasn’t connected and was rattly. I tried to tighten the muffler but the adjustment screw seemed to be the wrong treads. It looked like he use a washer to try to make it fit but it didn’t. The next morning my son took another ride and same thing happened, he had to run alongside to go up hill and it died when he used the clutch. Plus he got a third degree burn on his leg due to the exhaust not being properly installed or even the right exhaust on the first place. So we decide to take it back. The problem was it was Monday, and they don’t open till Weds. So Weds morning we took it back to Mike, who said «I’ll just give you your money back, I don’t want to have to deal with you guys». What an asshole, I gave him every chance to do a good job and he failed. Then to top it off his check was short, he didn’t refund all of our money. It was a small amount and rather than deal with him, we just eat the difference. This is the definition insult and injury. This guy will not last long in business not with the social media we have today. We went to Huntington Beach that day and bought an electric bike and happily paid more than twice what we paid here.

We were out shopping around for the best bang for our buck, for electric bikes. When we stopped by this store and mentioned this to him, and that we had found better pricing at another store for the same bikes he quickly seemed offended and stated that he was the only authorized dealer in the area… which I guess allows him to charge more?
Well, needless to say, we went back to «EZ Green Bikes» which is right around the corner, paid less, got our bikes and LOVE them. This guy may know his bikes but he sure doesn’t know friendly, customer service.

This was a lot of fun. We rented 5 bikes, 3 of which were electric. The ride along the PCH 1 to San Clemente was pretty awesome and the bikes worked perfectly. My wife was worried about how to handle them but after a couple of minutes she had it down pat. They accelerate nicely and provide a smooth ride. Robbie was super helpful and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this shop and experience and we’ll probably do this again the next time we visit Dana Point.

I drove in from Las Vegas and checked out the bikes the service was amazing. Prices were fantastic. I purchased an electric bike and am so happy with it I am buying another next week. Both my wife and I enjoyed everything about the deal and highly recommend this shop.

Great sales and service. Mike and Ryan stand behind all of the quality products they sell. I was pleased with the down to earth conversation and the nuggets of E-​Bike and Moped information. Furthermore, it’s a fun place to go for even a test ride. I just bought a Puch moped that I am thrilled with. Oh, I have to add… I rode my new — old Puch from their shop in Dana Point, all the way to Corona…

Be very careful of this bike shop. They are not honest in any way. I purchased a bike from them (Motiv Electric bike) The bill of sale indicates a 48 volt shadow which is what I wanted. When i got home and really looked at the bike is is a 36 volt model. After calling Ryan at not so ez cruiser they play stupid. After many phone calls they admit they pulled a switch and would deliver me the correct bike… twice! They have refused to make this right and won’t even talk to me at this point. They are NOT to be trusted.
Do you self a favor and stay away from these guys and this shop.

I got my Motiv bike from here and Mike really set me up nicely. I highly recommend coming into this shop to check out the selection. I never thought I would be interested in an electric bike and this thing changed my life. I rarely leave reviews on Unilocal and this occasion called for a must! Get down to EZ Cruiser.

Can’t say enough good things about this place and the owner (Mike). Took my son’s motorized gas bike (not purchased from Mike) into the shop because it wasn’t running like it should and I couldn’t figure out why. Mike LITERALLY spent nearly 2 hours going over everything on the bike and doing multiple test rides throughout the process trying to narrow down the problem. I can’t tell you how appreciative I was to see someone REALLY try to provide the best service possible in resolving the problem. His prices are great… his support is unmatched! The guy is always at his shop. I sat with him the entire time he was troubleshooting the bike… super nice guy and easy to talk to. Don’t go anywhere else to buy a motorized/​electric bike.

I drove from Los Angeles all the way here because Mike had the best prices. Mike was very helpful and was willing to go out if his way to making sure everything was right. He gave me a super deal on a Motiv and with the money I saved I was able to buy a bike trailer which he offered selling to me at his cost. Great selection, great customer service highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed.

I would give the 0 stars if I could. I bought a bike from them with less than 20 miles on it and they refused to help me fix it. Don’t sell something if you can’t service it.

I had a 49cc 2 stoke motorized bike that need repair, and got it fix the same day i drop it! Mike is a great mechanic and very nice to everybody. Mike did a wonderful job repairing my bike. I recommend this place to anybody needing repairs or rentals. Thank you so much, have a great one.

I found this place on Unilocal and was looking for a bike rental place in dana point.
I’m glad I found this place. We rented 2 electric bikes. It was my first time using it and I love it !! So much easier and less tiring. So worth the extra money. The owner is very nice and helpful. My bf and I actually thinking of getting the electric bikes after using it today. Highly recommend this place for anyone who’s looking for bike rentals. I love that it’s only a block from the harbor and the beach. We will be definitely coming back here again !

Just bought my electric bike and can’t tell you how happy I am!!!
After looking several places for electric bikes around my area and coming up disappointed every time, I came up on this place after my friend told me about this place.
So I drove up from Carlsbad and talked to the salesman and wasn’t pressured into buying a bike right away and Colby was straight forwarded and honest.
I waited a couple of weeks to make my decision and no doubt now know I made the right decision.
E-​Z cruiser by far was the best investment I made for a electric bike and the sales people their treat you right and are honest.
Now off to go ride by new electric bike!

I’ve only had fantastic experiences here! If you want a motorized or electric bike, this is the spot! Mike and Colby are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful!

I was skeptical at first because I never heard of this company but really wanted a gas bike as some kind of new toy like when I had a goped in middle school. Well I tried craigslist and was trying to haggle with someone, but he later told me he sold it for more than he asked. And from there, I asked how he liked the bike was now that he has no incentive to make a sale on me and he said it was good and reliable. He sold it because he underestimated his budget when rent payment came along so it had little use.
So I decided to give these guys a chance and hope to get a quality bike as I had to put a deposit as they had no gas bikes in the show room. And what I got was a very well built bike that I feel safe to ride on. Mike does a very good job building these bikes even under the pressure to fulfill orders and nothing broke off and haven’t had a problem. This is more of a gas toy like a GoPed and it’s kind of hard to rely on this as secondary transportation as this doesn’t come with gauges like a real motorcycle and also the 50 cc engine is adequate for the bike lane.
But you don’t need a license to operate this thing so that is why it’s on the toy side. Mike did say one person who did rely on this as transportation was someone who got a DUI and had their license taken away. Well if you were forbidden to drive a car, this is probably the next best thing. And also responsible teenagers would love this bike and I would recommend this over the GoPed because the frame of the bike is more stable at gas powered speeds.
But for a gas powered bike that requires no license, this is a fun bike to have if you’re itching for that gas powered toy.
