These Events are AWESOME! Shout out to Maker’s Mark for hosting these kind of events. Food, Booze, and GREAT whiskey. How can you complain?

Put on your loveliest Red attire and hop onto the Maker’s Mark Red Line. This whiskey filled event composed of three stops: Waterman’s Harbor, Wind & Sea and Harpoon Henry’s. Definitely too much fun for a Tuesday night with my cousin, his girlfriend and their friend. The event is free up to 50 Maker’s Mark ambassadors and all we had to do was RSVP on eventbrite prior to the event. Stop #1: WATERMAN’S HARBOR from 5:30 — 7:00pm Upon check in into the event we received free event lanyards and a few early birds also received a free medium tshirt as well. This stop featured a Maker’s Mark«Sir Francis» which included the Maker’s Mark bourbon, a little maple syrup, a squeeze of lime topped with ginger beer and a small piece of bacon. It was a pretty good drink. All of the Maker’s Mark drinks were half off for the event. As the four of us enjoyed these refreshing drinks trays of appetizers went around. Our favorite was the sausage perfectly topped with sauerkraut and an aioli of some type. They also had a crab cake that I found to be too fishy and two out of four of us had crab shell in our small bite, so that’s no good. There was also a fish taco on a rather thick tortilla, but the fish was moist and the sauce on top was rather tasty. We had a lot of fun at the first stop, but you can tell that it was very disorganized with the trays circulating inefficiently and the drink orders backed up. I feel like the restaurant could have been better staffed if they knew an event was talking place that day. Stop #2: WIND&SEA from 7:00 — 8:00pm Happily buzzed we go along to our next stop where there was the Maker’s Mark and Makers 46 tasting. The featured drink here was a Maker’s Mark Mahanttan that was quite painful to drink. I think I would have liked straight Maker’s better than this drink. Another example of poor planning at this event. I noticed the host of the event didn’t order the food until we moved to the location so there was a bit of a lag on the food. Instead of circulating food, Wind & Sea left the fried, sliders and nachos in one area and you just help yourself to the small bites. I noticed a shortage in food and also it did not come out fast enough. A lot of people left after this second stop. Stop #3: HARPOONHENRY’S from 8:00 — 9:00pm No special Maker’s drinks here at Harpoon Henry’s but they offered 50% off all Maker’s Mark drinks. Once again the food orders were not placed until we got here. They just randomly gave appetizers to groups of ambassadors. We came in a group of four so that worked out well for us. They gave us an appetizer of fish sticks and a taco with chips appetizer. Once again it was really random where some people got food and some people didn’t. We left as soon as we were done with our drinks. Good company is all you need for a good time. I feel like the event was very poorly planned from both Maker’s Mark and the restaurants that hosted the event, but 50% off drinks and free bites kept our happy vibes up throughout the night.
