CT Department Of Motor Vehicles

Wow! I was really dreading the DMV experience having waited really long at other locations in New Haven, Fairfield county, especially Hamden. Tried my luck in Danbury 2 weeks ago and it was great!
At first I was dismayed by the very long line that was there just before opening. (on a Thursday just before a Friday holiday weekend).
Once the doors opened, the line moved quickly. Inside the door there was a very friendly greeter who screened the line and told different people to go to different locations, nicely.
The next stop was information desk, which didn’t take too long. We were then directed to one of the 10 booths that were staffed that morning and within a short period of time the whole transferring of registration to another family member was all done. From start to finish, once we got inside the building, the whole process took 40 minutes. We never had to sit to wait for anything. Just moved right along. Definitely worth the drive from New Haven county. Bravo and kudos!!! Job well done. I’ll be back for future transactions.
There was plenty of space for parking and the inside of the facility was well organized with good signage and even a snack concession area. I think the «clients» in there seemed mighty pleased at how efficiently everything went.

All the staff, including Alejandro, were professional and helpful.
It was only an hour in and out to do everything I required, so no chance to get peckish. If I had, there was a snack bar with coffee and munchies available.
This experience at DMV is so unlike the root canal process that it is in NYS, I had to Unilocal and write to CT DMV customer service to say Thank You. The camera for my license picture even shows a smiling visage without eyelids shuttered. Amazing.
