Some of the game stores I visit organize their inventory by genre or manufacturer. Others — a majority — just stack things randomly. Gamer’s Gambit has this evidently obscure way to organize their game inventory: it’s called alphabetical order. Why can’t more stores do this? It makes looking for specific items a lot easier(the alternative is «The Thrill of the Hunt» — hmm. where have I heard that before?). It’s not the largest inventory I’ve ever seen, but it’s pretty darn good, with a nice variety of items. Even more impressive is the table space in the back where I assume weekly gaming sessions and tournaments are held. My understanding is that Gamer’s Gambit is owned by the same people who own Dragon’s Den, the game store local to me. I wish Dragon’s Den had this kind of space, I know they’d set up in much the same way.

They charged me $ 5 for a $ 3 pack of sleeves. Don’t buy here there are much better stores around the state.

Good local gaming store. Has a good selection and good player base.

Discourteous staff, underwhelming selection of video games, and pricing that’s arbitrary at best(and downright insulting at worst) — best of luck to them!

Average jack of all trades game store. They have Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, Warmachine, RPGs, some 40k, Heroclix, and limited comic book selection. What they excel in is gaming space which takes up the back of the store. Staff is friendly and was welcomed on entry. Now the sad part. Some guy feeds a seagull swarm in the parking lot and they poop everywhere. Dont come in a clean car and bring an umbrella.

Being someone who pops in and out of Magic the Gathering time and time again, I’m always curious about the new stuff that I missed in my off time. Gamer’s Gambit is awesome, and the staff here is generally knowledgeable about the majority of card games they sell(especially MTG and Yugioh it seems like). Not only that, but Gambit also carries board games, video games, collectibles, and comics. It’s kind of something Danbury was lacking ever since Wright’s Card and Gaming went out of business, except it’s a lot better than Wright’s. Feel free to stop in and take a look is you’re curious, you won’t be disappointed.
