Ugh this place is too good to be living so close to it. Anytime we have visitors in town we always make sure to stop by Jaxson’s. Most of the time, our guests feel like we are doing this for them to experience something in our hometown but we really just use it as an excuse. There is a very long wait on weekends, specifically in the evenings. It helps that they are open late, so it works well for an enormous late night snack(or meal.) Truth be told, we have never had anything but ice cream here and it usually takes the place of a meal. These ice cream sundaes are so incredibly delicious, and it is not just the ice cream that makes them great, the toppings are to die for. The staff is always friendly, and with the eclectic look of the place I wouldn’t expect anything else! Make time for this place, and get ready to have a bad habit started!

Always epic food! Don’t be an amateur — do not go during peak dinner hours. Go in the early afternoon to avoid the 30 min — 45 min wait.

Can someone PLEASE explain these rave reviews? First time I thought, «This ice cream has no flavor.» Just gave it another try a few months later. Nope. I actually gave mine away. After waiting in line. And paying $ 5 for a small. If I were blindfolded, I’d say it was vanilla. Not butter pecan. Sorry, Jaxon’s. I’m moonwalking outta here and never coming back.

Jaxsons IceCream Parlor is World Famous for Their HomeMade IceCream. Had the Chocolate Peanut Butter… Yum. Yum !

Oreo ice cream. Chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Stop whatever you’re doing, drive to Jaxson’s and try those flavors immediately. This Dania favorite of both locals and tourists alike has some damn good ice cream. How good? People standing in 60 minute lines in 50 degree temperature good. People standing in 60 minute lines in 90 degree temperature good. We usually go to the take out window which is a tad bit of a shorter line(most times). There you will be served by a fast and friendly staff. One of which looks like Bradley Cooper from The Hangover. Seriously. If you choose to sit inside, you’ll receive that same fast and friendly service, not to mention some complimentary popcorn. The food here is good. I’ll be honest, I rarely eat it though. The real star here is the dessert. The serving sizes of ice cream are ridiculous and much necessary. How else will you impress your friends with a selfie on Instagram with an ice cream cone the size of your head?

Went out on a chilly Saturday night since I wanted to eat some ice cream. Was in line about 15 – 20 mins where we found a little monkey entertaining and if you gave him a dollar he would give you a handshake. Ordered mozzarella sticks, new York dog and the sweetheart ice cream. Everything was so good. the ice cream was definitely worth the wait.

Waited over half an hour for a tiny table in the crowded dining room, then waited another 45 minutes for food. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anything but the ice cream. AVOID if you’re claustrophobic!

Amazing ice cream. I was told by someone standing in line next to me that Jaxson’s was voted the second best ice cream in the country. I went on a Friday night and the line was crazy. There was two separate lines(both super long): one to eat in the restaurant and one to just go up to the window and get your ice cream to go. We waited for 45 minutes on the to-go line, but it was sooo worth it. The ice cream was delicious. They had so many options. The only con was that they don’t let you try the ice cream to see if you like it before you order(like most other places let you do). It was a very fun environment and the staff were very friendly. The portions were huge(even for a small ice cream cone) but pricey for ice cream. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Food and service is ALWAYS awesome. I’ve been here many times and this restaurant is very consistent in their great service, which that’s 50% of the reason to go out to eat, for the service! I usually order the chicken caesar salad or chicken wraps. Both are very delicious and the portions are decent as well. I love the feel of this place too. I recommend Jaxson’s to everyone in the area :)

I’ve been meaning to come here for years, and finally I went on a Saturday afternoon. We had to circle the parking lot once before finding a spot, and then there was a queue outside. When we finally went in, we were promptly seated. I ordered the cookie dough ice cream(a mandatory two scoops if you’re not eating a meal) and my friend had the blueberry milkshake. Our desserts were tasty, but my ice cream wasn’t as phenomenal add I had hoped it would be. The décor was interesting(lots of license tags posted on the walls), and the signs outside had a nice vintage parlor look. I would come here again, but I’m in no rush.

I haven’t been here since I was a kid but it was so memorable that I immediately squealed when I saw the sign. Everyone should come here atleast once. Ordered the 2-scoop version of the Turtle Sundae(usually 3-scoops but I’m not a big ice cream eater) and the Chocolate Shake. Very very heavenly. All tables come with a complimentary bowl of fresh popcorn(so good).

No idea why I never reviewed Jaxson’s before. I started coming here when I was a kid. I did move away several years ago, but make no mistake, I try hard to pit stop at Jaxson’s when I’m in town visiting… THEGOOD… –long history dating back to the 50s –family owned –tons of in-house made ice cream flavors and creations –free popcorn –same décor that’s been there for eons –sells throwback candy –staff is usually pleasant –good hours of operation –can usually find parking THEBAD… –water refills can be slow Overall, Jaxson’s is a landmark. If you go to South FL a stop here is essential!

This place is famous — people come all over the country to be part of this experience. I don’t know anything about their business model, but it’s working really well. I have eaten there twice, and there’s always a long line; however, people like me are not discouraged. This spot seems to be very small and always full to capacity. However, everybody seems to enjoy the experience. So, bring your kids and family to that place because they will enjoy every moment of it. My family and I had two huge hot dogs(the classic), the famous banana split and two large cokes. Everything was delicious.

Jaxsons in my view is the reminisce of a vintage ice cream parlor. I love restaurants with historical value and this definitely has 59 years of it. I wanted to meet up with a dear friend somewhere we both hadn’t dined before. Finally, I got this off my bookmark list, however I plan to take my husband here in the very near future. Compared to me, he is the real ice cream lover. Back to my review: They are pretty busy and we waited about 30 minutes after arriving at 6:30PM on a Saturday night. They have a pick up /take out window as well if you do not want to dine in. If you are trying Jaxsons for the first time I would suggest you to dine in to see the unique decorations displayed throughout the restaurant. Our server was prompt and gave us more time when we were not ready. The server assistant brought waters and complimentary popcorn to start us off. My friend ordered the chicken ceaser salad and liked it. I enjoyed my black bean burger as well. It tasted very good with their homemade bbq sauce. I was impressed that they had three types of veggie burgers not just one. Their menu is pretty extensive with many choices. We wanted to go light on the meal portion and save room for the star of the show aka ice cream. We opted to get the brownie fudge ice cream. They had a gigantic size with three scoops of ice cream. However we ended up getting the small size since we were already stuffed. The fudge drizzled on the ice cream was excellent. The ice cream itself was rich and creamy. The brownie part was ok, I was expecting it to be more richer in chocolate. Overall a great dessert though. I can’t wait to go back to Jaxsons with Sam M on a date night.~

Let me just say I absolutely love this place! I been coming here since I was 11 and never stopped. Now my kids enjoy it just as much as I do! The service is not always the best but the ice cream and experience overweight the wait and service by far. I recommend to anyone traveling to south Florida to give this place a try and if you’re a local it’s a must! I probably had ½ the menu and I’m always happy.

Hands down the best family fun place in South Florida. The food is perfect, the staff is experienced, and EVERYONE leaves happy. I lived in Hollywood for years and went here often for a special treat, especially for friends visiting from out of town or to celebrate local friends birthdays. We love it here. Over Thanksgiving week I was back in town and got together with 10 adults and children for a fun afternoon. We enjoyed every moment. The food is flavorful and fresh. The problem is the HUGE servings because it is hard to save room for dessert. Often I would order and entrée or dessert. This time I ordered both. Why not indulge since it was Thanksgiving week anyway. I love the option to choose any homemade ice cream scoop flavor… so much that I order two with an extra side car of hot fudge. We did visit at 3pm on a Tuesday so there was no wait and the service was wonderful. But beware, this restaurant is so popular that there is often a long wait in the evenings. But it is worth every minute.

Took my niece here for an afternoon treat. Either I was lucky or people didn’t want to risk getting wet in the rain because there was only 2 people ahead of me! I got a sundae to share and a small chocolate cup for the little one. I chose a sundae with a scoop of maple nut and a scoop of black cherry and a cold topping of strawberries. I was surprised that they used actual black cherry halves in their black cherry ice cream! The prices seem reasonable for how much ice cream you get and for the quality of ingredients that they used. Oh, make sure to check out their special flavors posted at the counter behind the cone display. I totally didn’t notice the specials until after I ordered. Can’t wait to come back and try to attempt the kitchen sink!

I would say this place is like stepping back in a time capsule! So many h fun knick knacks on the wall. I try to take my kids every summer at least once. Although I have eaten here for lunch, it is quite expensive for burgers, hot dogs, salads & sandwiches type of foods. So I just stick to going there for the ice cream. They always give you a bowl of popcorn to munch on while you wait. They have tons and tons of ice cream sundaes/creations. A cool place to visit in the Dania area Tip: try to go on non busy hours. Sometimes the lines are all down the shopping plaza. But they do have a take out window. No reservations

Five stars for the ice cream and three stars for the food. This is one of my favorite places to get ice cream– it’s super creamy and I love the fresh fruit ones. Fresh peach is one of my favorites! I love the whole old-fashioned look to the whole place. It’s especially great for tourists and children, especially the candy store for the little ones. As for the dining portion, the food here is not really impressive. All the dessert options are top quality(and also huge portions), but the food is mediocre. I ordered the Georgia dog and even though it looked appealing, the taste wasn’t that appetizing. The hot dog was too salty and I didn’t even bother to finish it. The coleslaw was actually decent– better tasting than most places. I’ll be back for more ice cream– and root beer floats!

To all the guys here, it’s not a great place for a first date. But it’s an awesome place for the second date. Anything you get from here is amazing. Sometimes you have to wait for a long time. But at the end it’s all worth the wait. My fav is the Rum Raisin. It’s the best rum raisin I ever had in my life. And I recommend to get the Kitchen Sink for the group. We had six people sharing that and couldn’t finish it. So don’t think two people can finish it. If I have to say something negative about this place is that waiting for a table and a waitress is long. Again it’s worth the wait. It’s an amazing experience over all. Good luck

I stop in here for an ice cream cone every time I’m in town. They have a lot of flavors to choose from and give you a hefty serving of ice cream. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is great. I’m not exactly sure when the monkey comes to perform, but if you can find out you should definitely come to see that!!!
