Well from the outside it looks like hey let’s try it. We went because it came highly recommended. We walk in and smelled smoke from the bar area and stood in the front wondering if we should seat ourselves or wait… so we waited. Waited for 10 minutes before someone would make eye contact with us. Finally someone sat us in the dining room along the wall and noticed fruit flies all over the wall. We thought we were seeing things… there were hundreds of them. Covering the entire wall. No exaggeration! Knowing how fruit flies breed and judging by the size of them it’s a direct result of uncleanliness and open food sources in the kitchen and bar area. Please note the following dining room is an open air view of the kitchen. Very unsanitary and we immediately stood up and left. I’m sure the food might be great but we weren’t going to take a chance. This place should be shut down… Disgusting!

Stopped to watch NFL playoffs while at a nearby hotel. There was a welcoming, fun, local crowd. The waiter was attentive and friendly with recommendations. Food was plentiful and delicious at a good price. The chef and server also came to say«hi» and check on our satisfaction.(Too bad my team lost)

Really generous portions! Come hungry. Tropical New England clam chowder wonderful as was the mozzarella slices appetizer. I had the clam/lobster pie which was good and the twice baked potato was yummy! No room in my stomach to try the dessert.

My fish was over cooked, the potato salad had no flavor, However the NE clam. chowder was very good. The waitress was friendly.

Came in 25 min after the kitchen closed with 8 people, the owner strikes up the grills and cooks us a feast. They were really awesome and took great care of us. Highly recommend. Ask for their speciality blue shot(he gave us to them for free).

Not as the reviews would indicate. Not much on the menu. Definitely seems like more of a locals hang out.

The food is actually exquisite for the price point. David, our server was engaging and is on his own path to creating a career in nutrition. The oysters were tender and done just right. The butternut squash was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Highly recommend this little jewel.

There is a nice bar area and a dining room. Service was slow but everyone was super nice. In the endearing way, it had a «townie» vibe. I got a cup of New England Clam Chowder for $ 5. Tasty, generous amount of clams and started everything off just right. For dinner I got the mahi sandwich. Cooked to perfection, juicy and only around $ 11, not bad! Entries are about $ 23 – 30. The negative piece is that the bar area is a smoking area. Despite being closed off from the restaurant area, I still walked out of there smelling like smoke. There were also many fruit flies swarming around us. Despite all that, I enjoyed it and will probably be back.

Nice atmosphere in a local bar. The crab cakes are wonderful. Really nice sports bar with TVs everywhere. I would recommend this place for a quick bit and to watch the football games.

My friend goes to Land Crab Lounge every Sunday before football games for their omelet bar. Here’s the deal: Omelet Bar with all the fixings for $ 8. NO limit on anything. There was a large selection of proteins you could put in the omelet from meatballs to craw fish. All of the normal veggie ingredients you can put in as well. Carl can make one great omelet. They also offer a Bloody Mary bar starting at $ 4.25 a glass. Tali D., our server was great. Our waters and beers were never empty. Drinks are on the cheaper side. AND The bar area IS a smoking bar. There is a dining area that is non-smoking. I am not a huge fan of smoking bars but this particular location wasn’t horrible. I didn’t actually realize you were able to smoke until I saw someone light a cigarette next to me. They keep it pretty well ventilated.

Great place. Nice atmosphere, very good food. I was surprised about the variety in the menu. Carl is cooking at his best-fresh, delicious, and very, very tasty! Check out the bar side… tons of TV’s for sports and a nice atmosphere. Drinks were good, beer ice cold!

First time there and very impressed Waitress came up immediately and gave us all the menu items and took drink order. Appetizer was Mahi fingers, perfectly cooked. It came out quickly. Jumbo lumb crab and Maine Lobster Pie. Made with sherry butter sauce, topped with Ritz, sweet onion and minced mushroom topping and baked to a golden finish. To die for. Compared it to the best Boston restaurants, course owner is from Worcester. Desert was Key Lime cheesecakes and Bourbon Bacon Brownie infused with KY bourbon on a salted pretzel crust, topped with caramel ganache and crispy bacon. Definitely going back again. It’s at end of my street, I could walk to it smile emoticon We decided to split the meal and they divided everything into two dishes, something no place has ever done. Kudos to Land Crab Lounge. Owner came up to speak to us, wait staff was perfect. Definitely a go back place. Bar was separate, everyone seems to complain about the smoking. I am not a smoker and walked through the bar area and it wasn’t objectionable. I would definitely visit the bar area on a sports Sunday. Can’t wait to go back with some more friends.

Ducked in on the way to the Greek Joint with Bernadette and it was a great time, here’s why: * Michael was our server /bartender. He’s more enthusiasm than factuality, but he still rocks. * We shared the«Lobster Pie» which is actually Lobster and Lump Crab. Michael oversold it. It was still delish. Suggestions: Less graham crackers, more butter and crab and lobstah. It is hard to sit in the«lounge /bar» when you are a non-smoker like me and Bern. It is smokey in there. I like the décor because it is new. But it is not warm, nor welcoming, nor well thought out. It looks like they ran out of money before they finished. Smells great in the«restaurant» side that Michael touts as having an «open kitchen.» Parking: Ouch. Their«lot» is rented space adjacent to a tenement building. Not fun to park at, not fun to walk to when the lights go down, and I’m handy with my knuckle sandwiches. Just sayin’. Prices run the gamut from very low to very high. They need to iron that out, too. Still, worth a visit and worth a try. There is a lot of promise here and real good energy. Other menu items I eyeballed looked pretty tasty. I shall be back. Cabeza OUT!

I really wanted to like this place. I should have listened to the prior reviews about the smoking. The entire place smells like stale cigarettes. They try to separate the bar area(where you’re allowed to smoke) from the restaurant but the smell prevails. It really put a damper on the dining experience. As for the food, I thought it was way overpriced for the quality. I got the New York strip while my husband got the raved about seafood pie thing. His dish was full of booze that was not cooked out and way over breaded. The steak was flavorful but the meat quality wasn’t the best. Lots and lots of fat left on. I would def say this is probably a place to come enjoy the bar(if you’re ok with the smoke) and not so much a sit down dinner. The drinks are reasonably priced and they don’t skimp on the booze that’s for sure.

First rate establishment. Small American restaurant — heavy on seafood but lots of land-based choices. First rate kitchen. Cheapo cheapo prices. Those two things are always good when found at the same place. I did a shrimp burrito which was impressive. I come from Texas and in Texas, shrimp burritos are often an Achilles heel on the menu. The shrimp are often frozen econo — and are counting on hiding in a lot of rice, tortilla and jalapeño to cover up their budget status. Jalapenos and chiles can cover up a lot. Plus most restauranteurs have figured out that rice is cheaper than shrimp. Here the shrimp were«fresh-off-the-boat-wonderful» — and in copious quantity. The sauce was a very good remoulade sauce — suave and creamy. People who make burritos typically don’t make remoulade sauce — but there is a reason Yankees serve remoulade sauce on seafood. The flavor blends perfectly. The dish worked wonderfully. My table mate was temporarily on an all-French-Fries diet.(don’t ask). The French Fries were eminently respectable members of the long curli-cue French Fries club. Legendary French Fries exist at legendary French Fry restaurants … but these were honorable mention worthy. The room is not as nice as the cooking. It is a little claustrophobic and feels smaller than it is. My chair needed repair although the second one was okay. Still — it is all about the food when you really get down to it. If I lived in Fort Laud, I would eat here regularly.

This is a 3 ½ star review. We visited this casual restaurant last Saturday for dinner. At 8:00 pm there 4 diners, including the two of us in the dining room. That’s ok. The service was welcoming and genuine. Portions are generous. The food was perfectly prepared and nicely presented. Open kitchen lets you see the chef from any table. We had perfect, large scallops and the crab and lobster pie with quinoa and cole slaw. Very good and overall, a good value for good fresh seafood. Free parking in rear. Note: As you walk in, there’s a tobacco odor as you pass a separate bar(closed door) where folks are smoking. However, we did not smell tobacco inside the restaurant.

A SMOKERSPARADISE. I dont smoke, so I had to leave after 1 hour. But the restaurant is on the side in the non-smoking area. But… the bar has sturdy, cheap drinks IF you can stand the smoke! Id never return, since theres other non-smoking bars in Dania. But the heavy smoking atmosphere is a big turn off. Its not a light stench, imagine… a room with 25 smokers! All puffing continously. Rare for Florida, but I guess smokers need a place too, they are probably tired if always going outside to smoke!

Came here for dinner on mothers day with my 4 year old and friend after given a recommendation of the place by my manager(a fellow foodie). I had a hankering for some seafood and well, I just felt I deserved to indulge that day. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the owner, Michael. He was very friendly and even took the time to small talk with my son who normally isn’t too chatty but was very responsive in this instance. We picked our seats and within seconds, our waitress, Melissa, greeted us with a welcoming smile and told us the specials. She took our drink order which came from the bar next door(same establishment but separate rooms). Our drinks arrived in a timely fashion and asked if we were ready to order. I, being extremely indecisive, asked what her recommendations were. She named a few and I ultimately decided on the crab and lobster pie while my friend ordered the steak tidbit entrée. The food took a little longer than usual to come out but we didn’t mind at all. Good food usually takes a little longer to prepare. you just can’t rush perfection. The food finally arrived and perfect it was! The crab and lobster pie was absolutely heavenly and practically melted in your mouth. I tasted the steak tidbits and that, too, was delicious! The gravy was delectable and the steak was cooked to perfection. Both entrees came with 2 sides which I didn’t even get a chance to taste because the main course was so filling(with plenty left over to take home). With the quality and taste of the food, the price is just right. Service was exceptional and you could surely tell the owners take great pride in this place as he was walking around talking to all the tables, making sure everyone was enjoying their Mother’s Day dinner. Can’t wait to return as this review has me craving the Land Crab all over again!

Whereas most lounges have a bar and restaurant combined, here they are distinctly separate and different, but for good reason. The bar area is loaded with flat screens, sports bar type oriented, and though clean and bright, allows smoking with which it really reeks. You can trust me on that because I’m one of those old timers that continues to smoke, so when I say that I found the smoke oppressive and bothering, I can hardly imagine how it might be to non-smoker. The restaurant area is well apart from the bar and does not allow smoking. They have both lunch and dinner offerings with their lunch having daily specials. I’ve had both a lunches and a dinner here. For lunch I’ve had their fish and chips, also their Swedish meatball specials and found both to be rather good but nothing distinctively outstanding. Their dinner menu reads rather unique with such items as «Jumbo Lump Crab and Maine Lobster Pie» for $ 29 and a «Shrimp and Oyster Combo» plate coming either fried, steamed or sautéed for $ 27 or scampi style for an additional $ 2 charge. I had the pie which was very good and though I couldn’t tell for sure that the lobster was Maine, it was definitely of cold water, nice in texture and succulent to taste. The service I had was somewhat sketchy but good enough and I did like the fact that their menu clearly makes a point of noting which items are American Heart and Diabetes Certified and those of which are Gluten Free, something I wish more restaurants would note on their menus. Since there are, as I have mentioned, two distinctively different parts to this establishment, being the bar and the dining area it sort of presents somewhat of a quandary for rating purposes. I’d rate the bar as a Two Stars, the restaurant at a low or Four Stars minus, so I’ve just averaged it out at an overall Three Stars.
