We used to go here until last weekend. We were sitting there eating our sub when a little friendly visitor namely a roach crawled on the table next to ours. Not going back

Fantastic sandwiches! Huge menu should allow everyone to find something they like. Staff is friendly and prices are fair. I would certainly return.

A good sub shop is hard to find, especially in Miami. However, Mr. M’s of Dania does subs right. If you ask me, I would still prefer a LaSpadas sub over Mr. M’s but Mr. M’s is a close second and certainly preferable over Publix and Subway. The only reason Mr. M’s did not get 5 stars is because it’s being directly compared to LaSpadas. Mr. M’s has been a staple in the neighborhood for years and you can instantly see why when you walk in. Most of their customers are regulars. People keep coming back because Mr. M’s makes some great subs. On this occasion, I ordered the rotisserie chicken on whole wheat with provolone cheese. The whole wheat hoagie roll was fresh and soft, and the rotisserie chicken was flavorful. I truly appreciate sub shops that over sliced chicken as a substitute for turkey. I would have preferred a little more meat, but again not every shop can be LaSpadas. If traveling down 95, and need a quick and delicious sub, definitely stop at Mr. M’s. Mr. M’s is only a 2 minute drive from the highway. You can’t miss it! South Florida needs more shops like this and less subways.

I happened to be in this area, I truly do love the subs here that’s where the 2 stars came in, but the old broad at the counter is something else. Brown hair, light eyes & wrinkles — Just plain rude — I believe she might be the owner. let the kids run the show because having you there makes me never want to come back again. Try smiling, being at the counter and having to see her first thing made me want to just walk right out. It wouldn’t hurt to be nice to your customers. I stuck around to see if she was just rude to me… but nope, just a nasty old woman.

The subs are good always fresh… only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because the customer service is terrible the girls at the counter are very rude

Old School Submarine Sandwiches, Done right! According to the Mr. M’s Sandwich Shop website they opened the Dania/Hollywood, Florida location in January of 1979 by husband and wife, Dennis and Ginny Maier. It is still owned and operated by them and proudly going on it’s 30th year in business. Impressive I’ve never been here and my boss was the one who recommended we go for lunch. She grew up in Hollywood and has been coming here for years. We walk in and the first thing I notice is the place could use a good renovation…30 years in business and it looks like it. Now I look at renovations at long running businesses with a sympathetic light. If business is booming and the place is clean, than I wouldn’t renovate clearly for nostalgic reasons. My boss mentioned how this place reminds her when she was kid because the food and ambiance hasn’t changed… I wouldn’t change a thing The Food I order the 6 inch Super(mixed Italian) with extra provolone, green peppers, hot peppers, lettuce, tomato, onions, black pepper, oil and vinegar. I didn’t have to wait long until they called my number. I went up grabbed my sandwich and as I walked back to the table I was looking at this sub. The construction of it looked familiar, but I couldn’t remember why. This sub is cut like an old fashion submarine sandwich. What that means is the bread is cut all the way thru and the meat, cheese and trimmings are placed on the bottom half and than topped with the other half of the roll. It looks damn good! I take a huge bite and I think… this bread is money. I take another huge bite and, as I’m chewing, it comes to me… this sub tastes just like the long closed Dan’s Submarines in Fort Lauderdale off of Sunrise Blvd. Man, this made this sandwich taste even better now because I loved Dan’s Submarines as a kid. It’s crazy how our memories drive our taste buds. I love this sub! Verdict I can see why my boss loves this place and why they have been open for over thirty years. This a no-nonsense sub shop that delivers the goods at a reasonable price. Service is friendly and I saw the owners cleaning up and interacting with the guests. I briefly talked to Mrs. Maier and told her that it was first time here etc… She asked why and my reply was that I live in Coral Springs. She looked at me and said she lives in Coral Springs! She has been making the drive up here for years… Very nice. Since this was my first time here I didn’t want to go crazy with my rating so I’ll give this place 4 stars. Remember to tell Mr. and Mrs. Maier that Dan I Cook sent you and Stay Hungry!

The sandwich is good, but it’s hard to give it any higher than a «3» when La Spada’s is right up the street and blows Mr. M’s away. I ordered roast beef. Bread could be a little softer, meat felt a little dry, and provolone was paper thin. Again, good, but you’re better off heading a mile North and spending a few dollars extra at La Spada’s.

I’m always looking for a good sub shop. I stumbled up on Mr. M’s while driving to Brooklyn Water Bagels(review soon coming). I think I’ve tried every sandwich, sub and soup offered by this establishment. My favorite is hands down that damn steak with cheese, peppers, onions and you can NOT forget that mayonnaise! That’s like the icing on the cake. The whipped cream on the crème brûlée. The jam in yo funk. Ok… I think you get the point! They have a 9 or 12″. I tried that 12″ one time and couldn’t take it down. They fill their sandwiches up with meat. Stingy by NO means… Ohhh poor subway(located across the street) I wonder how this location is working out for them? Mr. M’s is The Law of the land in these part of the town. Besides, the steak feel so good sandwich, the grilled sandwiches, particularly speaking, the turkey, bacon and provolone is devine. The loads of meat they pile on is ridiculous. I be like… what… and that freaking deli pickle they throw in a plastic bag is all that! I’m hooked on Mr. M’s I literally drive out my way to come here often. Prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes. They have lunch specials that includes a sandwich or sub with soup that $ 4.99. Soups, I think are Campbell’s as it doesn’t taste homemade. But it’s aiight. Lunch time is a mad house But the lines moves fast. Place only accommodate eat in or take out or delivery for a buck(locally) Mr M’s has been in business since 1979 And same owners. Customer service is great! They are always friendly and couteous and they remember my name. I walk in the door and they say; hey Kim. Always a good feeling when they know your name. Cheers!

I was busy and without lunch packed today at my new office… Hmm, hungry in a new place, what would I do without Unilocal? I found this place and saw that it had some good reviews from Unilocal friends that I trust. When I walked in, I noticed that this place had the feel of some older sandwich shops that I’ve been to. I love that sort of vibe, so I was anticipating a good sandwich. I ordered the corned beef sandwich on rye bread. I’m going to try to explain the sandwich without sounding like a deli snob. The sandwich had an ample helping of meat and the meat had good flavor. The bread was fresh and, well… rye. This is probably just a preference thing for me, but I usually like corned beef to be sliced thickly. This corned beef didn’t have the typical consistency that I’m used to. Not to say that it wasn’t good, because it was. I’ll certainly be checking in again and trying some more sandwiches!

I don’t typically post 1 star reviews but I just had to about this company due to their atrocious customer service. Ive eaten at this establishment several times in the past couple of years & their subs are decent nothing out of this world. My co-workers wanted to order from here today so I went along with it. First of all it took them like over an hour to finally deliver the food, and then they told us one price over the phone & when the driver showed up he told us a different price. So that took another 20 mins of going back and forth. The very rude lady who answers the phone cursed at my co-worker when she told her we’d been waiting almost 2 hours for the food. To make matters worse they messed up my other co-workers order altogether. The food was soggy and not even hot by the time we ate it. After we ate my boss called to make a complaint and the owner basically told my boss that«we came up with our own prices & that he has so many repeat customers blah blah» So he basically didn’t give a crap for lack of a better word of what we thought. Needless to say we will NEVER be ordering from this place again! Sorry Mr. M but you need to take a course in customer service because you just lost our business for good. So let this be a warning to everyone save yourself the stomachache & headache and don’t order from Mr. M’s!

Fantastic food in a family friendly environment. If you enjoy supporting family run establishments this is the place. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. The food is excellent(best cheese steak I have had in Florida). Make sure to go to the actual location because their deliveries take a while(someone’s over an hour) and they only deliver between 11 – 2 Monday through Friday.

I had not been there in a long time so I figured I’d give it a shot. The first thing I noticed was that I walked in on a training session. The woman in charge was belittling and seemed fustrated. I ordered a foot long chicken salad hogie and a medium bowl of clam chowder. I hope that’s a foot in length because if so I have been underestimating some things, and the roll was like a hot dog roll instead of a hard hogie roll. They only had a small bowl of soup and that may have been best as… I have been I’ll since an hour after leaving. Very dissapointing

What a fantastic find. Bad day at FLL airport — decided to get a room at the comfort suites airport and ventured into this throw back sandwich shop. I say throw back because it’s run like a business should be. The lovely owner — right there after all these years cheerful helpful warm welcoming she overheard me tell my counter help I’d pass on the tuna due to it having celery — «give him a taste of it» the owner quickly suggested Food was top quality atmosphere very warm and welcoming a lost art, good food in a warm hospitable environment. Great visit were I a local it would be a frequent stop. The contrast between my day at the airport… Vs stopping in here was remarkable . Highly recommended

Really great tasty subs and hot sandwiches. In a strip mall north side of Stirling west of the 95 after the first light. Friendly worker at the cash register to take your order. Many flat screen tv’s playing a sports game. There’s plenty of seating in front of the cash to wait for your to-go orders. I saw a few people walk in and pick up their orders before my order was to be made. **I suggest calling ahead to place a to-go order, that way you get your sandwich with ease. The menu is split between hot and cold, and priced according to size. They serve soups, and chips and fountain drink combos. The meat is hand sliced to order and piled high. I ordered the Rachel. It’s like a Ruben with Pastrami as the meat, Rye toast, Swiss cheese, lots of sauerkraut and their housemade thousand island dressing. Really great crunch, yummy flavor, great sandwich all around. They gave a pickle spear in a bag, and it was neither crunchy nor tasty. Im guessing they put these pickles in the bag for a while. I had the tiny cup of coleslaw too. It was good and I agree with other reviews, it is in a small to-go condiment cup and very small as a side… what a tease. My husband ordered the full sized Turkey club sandwich. Compared to mine it was tasteless and needed some seasoning. He doesn’t complain. I would suggest adding a sauce or spices to the club sub. I love how they slide their meat fresh, you can taste the difference. They load up the toppings which are a plus and makes the prices reasonable. Friendly customer service. The workers behind the counter constructing the sandwiches apologized for our order taking so long(the call in orders were before us). I will be back and try another hot tasty sub.

Wait, with all the times I’ve been to Mr M’s I’ve never reviewed it? Thanks to Howard H. for his review bringing this to my attention lol. Mr. M’s is my neighborhood sandwich shop and I’ve been coming here for years. Yes there are two equally close Subways, and Subway is great for a quick meal, but if you’re looking for quality and a bigger selection look no further than Mr. M’s. Some people swear by their Cuban, and I’ve had a few times. It’s definitely tasty but Cuban’s aren’t my thing so I usually get the Shrimp Salad Sub. Most recently I decided to venture out and get the Chef salad which was absolutely amazing. The Creamy Italian dressing didn’t hurt either ;) For us, we often come here right before heading off on a flight out of FLL. FLL is notorious for not having great food selections, and with airlines offering nut and berry boxes for $ 9, I prefer to grab a sub ahead of time, shove it in my purse and whip it out in the middle of a painful flight and watch the flyers next to me get really jealous lol. As Howard H. mentioned, there can be a bit of a wait. If you’re in a rush you can call in your order ahead of time and waltz in and pick it up(which also makes everyone waiting pretty jealous lol). Prices are a bit higher than other competing sub chains, but again, you’re definitely paying for higher end ingredients and a much bigger selection!
