Big box store, helpful staff. There’s always a line at this BB&B, but it usually goes quickly. They have everything you can imagine, but there’s so much junk you might need some help from a worker to find what you’re looking for. I’ll often check my Amazon app for recommendations when I’m deciding between items – it’s better if you already know what you want and just show up to pick it up here!

Antiquated systems can’t properly determine the items to use a 20% off coupon vs. a $ 5 off $ 15 one. I was told that the computer was smart enough to «figure out» how to segment the coupons yet I couldn’t help but notice that the computers are 1980’s DOS based. Bed Bath and Beyond doesn’t officially accept returns without a receipt even for items you purchased BEFORE this policy modification went into effect. They now take an automatic 20% off any return without a receipt. I am not sure how they handle sales tax as an idea could be purchased tax free in NH and returned in MA… I do like the items the store sells but Amazon Prime can get me a larger savings on most items and in one to two business days. I am still puzzled as to how Linens N Things went out of business and yet Bed Bath and Beyond remained when both had the same products for the same prices with the same policies. This could have just been a seasonal help mis-step but I am not convinced given the new return policies, etc.

Where else would I go for items that you find in this store? Unfortunately due to lack of limited other options, I return to this place time and time again with my coupons in hand hoping to make it out in under a half hour. The store seems to be clean and well stocked, however the checkout is always madness. Always lines with cashiers who don’t seem to understand the coupon situation. Several times they have incorrectly entered information and then we have to sit and wait for a manager to come over, and correct the situation while the line gets longer. I always leave this place annoyed. Wish they staffed the place with competent cashiers who value efficiency.

I have been a patron of BB&B for years, usually able to find what I need with decent pricing when coupons are used. Until now I have never really given them much thought, but they surpassed my expectation today, thus the review. A few weeks ago I purchased a king size comforter and set of sheets as a gift. The friends didn’t want the comforter and in the travel to them and back the receipt was lost. What was I to do, as we have no king sized bed at home. I also was leery of walking into a store with merchandise and no receipt. Well, they were able to look up my purchase from my credit card and refunded the exact amount I paid. It took about a minute. I am thrilled and will be sure to shop here as often as possible from now on.

I’ve been here a few times over the years and customer service is always excellent. I’m not a big spender and more likely to stop by when I know they have a product I know I need/want. I find their prices to be slightly higher or equal to other box stores. Today I was in need of a space heater. No one else has them in stock. Not walmart. Not target. No one. An employee cheerfully greeted me and asked me if I needed help, and directed me toward the large display at the front of the store. I wandered around a bit, found myself the cutest single cup moka pot I’ve ever seen, plus a space heater on the clearance rack. I was approached by another employee asking me if I needed assistance. Eventually I made my way to the shelves full of space heaters. Pricing was similar to pricing anywhere else, had anyone else had them in stock anyway. When I got my purchases home, my brand new Vornado was cracked and didn’t work. :(I went back to the store and we did a straight exchange of the product. The woman handling the exchange allowed me to open the box and check it out. I was in and out of the store in 5 minutes. Everything was pleasant. My living room is toasty warm now. I need to be careful when I walk by the racks of kitchen gadgets. I’m a fan of all sorts of gadgetry, especially the kitchen sort. The cool stuff seems to jump into my basket for a ride home. If you need a kitchen tool, this is the place to get it. I picked up my safety can opener here, and I’ll never go back to regular can openers. Worth every penny.

Great store if your into kitchen gadgets. The new bigger locale means more gadgets.

get ready for me to sound like a spoiled a-hole prick. this review is largely about registering for my wedding. there is nothing about registering that doesn’t feel selfish, rude, and presumptuous. playing with the clicky gun things is so fun, though, and pretending you’re going to get the shark steam mop AND the shark portable steam cleaner is such a domestically arousing rush! every single sentence i’ve written so far(because i’ve come back to write this sentence before you’ve even read the ones that precede this) make me feel like a brat. my fancy fiancé and i registered for gifts here and i’m so glad we did. our other gift registry is at target, since we agreed target is cheap yet decent quality, and we wanted to give people a wide range of price options. ugh. i’m making myself gag right now. anyway, as we went through the store, we realized that a lot of the prices are super comparable to the discount chains. you get a lot of the same brands for the same price, plus a bit more selection. i was always under the impression that bed, bath and beyond was a bit more expensive. that’s not necessarily the case. they just carry a wider range of stuff, and some«better quality» brands, so of course you’ll see some higher prices. the staff that set us up with the registry info was SOHELPFUL. i am the type of person that likes to do things solo in stores and doesn’t want someone flat tiring my heels the whole time, so having to sit down in the little bridal registry area made me nervous for about seven seconds, but i got over it super fast. they mentioned things that you read about in wedding magazines and on websites(how many things you should register for based on how many people you invite, et al) but you don’t really consider. they start off walking around the store with you and going through section by section, but are totally okay with you telling them to go away when you feel like you don’t need them anymore. aww. when my fiancé and i, who are not the most conventional of registers, told them we didn’t want china, they didn’t act like we were morons and add 12 place settings of mikasa blahblahblah against our will. i was sort of apprehensive when they told us someone was going to walk us through the store, but it actually ended up being super helpful, low pressure, and fun. aaaanycrap, the selection is great and i like that there’s a wide range of stuff. i like that most stuff is on display and out of the box so you can touch them. THAT’S WHATSHESAID! it helped with the decision making. just because sheets look cool doesn’t mean they feel good. they always seem to have coupons in newspapers, and since registering i’ve gotten coups via email. overall, this is a great store and i feel very good about my experience with my registry. now that i have my greed off my chest, i can go back to my normal life of being poor and happy.
