Bluegrass Pizza and Pub

The pizza is ok but they need to clean out all the burnt corn meal from the pans. My pizza arrived with a build up of black corn meal on the crust. The biggest complaint is the service. Took them 20 minutes to take our drink order. One of the others in my party ordered a sandwich and wanted to add lettuce to it and was told they don’t allow substitutions. Really? How hard is it to throw lettuce on a sandwich. For the price you are better off going to one of the chain pizza places.

We came into this place on a whim, passing through town, and I am so glad we did! Tuesday nights after 5pm they have all their speciality pizzas for $ 19.99 and buy two glasses of wine, get the whole bottle. Great specials! We ordered a large pizza, half mighty meaty and half W.S.
We eat pizza at least 1 – 2 times a month… but this is no joke probably the best pizza I’ve ever had! My fiancé, the pizza-​holic agreed! If you’re in or near Danville, KY and enjoy pizza and a great craft beer selection, you need to check this place out! We also had great service! Two thumbs up! :)

Bluegrass Pizza is in my hometown so this review will be a little biased but I love the pizza pub! With limited dining options in Danville this is definitely my top favorite. You never have a long wait if you’re picking up or dining in-​the pizza is fresh and always good! This time we got the veggie pizza and while I’m normally a just cheese pizza kind of person this was really tasty-​they have a variety of calzones and sandwiches as well. If you’re ever in Danville stop by and check it out!

I like bluegrass! They are our go-​to for pizza in Danville. I just wish they had a bit more variety.
They should really rename their veggie pizza «olive pizza» because that’s literally all that’s on it. No real «fresh garden ingredients» in sight. No Bueno.
I also wish they would take it easy with the powdered Parmesan. Quality cheese makes a pizza– it would be a huge improvement to include fresh parm, mozzarella, goat feta, and provolone. Also various type of mushroom, arugula, leeks, etc for a «garden pizza» might be an improvement. Please throw those gross jarred olives out, and let people who want powdered cheese put it on themselves at the table. Just a thought.

Best pizza in Kentucky! Nice bar area, great music, friendly and efficient staff, good choice of micro brews. Just go.

The crust is just perfect! I love how fast it is, even when it’s busy. It’s a good mix of locals and out-​of-​towners, as well as centre students. The service is very energetic and warm.

My boyfriend was visiting from Nashville, and we were interested in trying something new and local. I had read some good reviews about this place so we decided to give it a shot.
We were not disappointed. The waitress recommended the pesto feta cheese sticks, and I swear to you, I’ve been craving the things ever since! They were so delicious. We decided to each order a 10″ pizza because we like to do the left over thing. He ordered the the mighty meat, while I ordered the main line (and added garlic). The pizza came out pretty quickly in my opinion. Of course we were there during the afternoon, so it wasn’t very busy. I don’t have on single bad thing to say about the pizza itself. They were delicious. Just the right amount of toppings that looked and tasted fresh, and a crust that wasn’t too crispy, or too chewy.
Between the friendly service, and the delicious food, this is definitely my favorite pizza place in Danville. I’m so thrilled, and certainly surprised, to have such a delicious and awesome place in Danville! Definitely thumbs up for this place.

Best Pizza I have had in a long time! A little pricey but very worth it, plus they actually have some great craft brews on tap! Only thing close that reminds me a little bit of England since moving to Danville from there. Been twice and great service always, staff friendly!

Modern and cozy, this downtown pizza place is a great local spot! The food menu has your typical pizza variety, and the beer menu is impressive. Prices are reasonable, Staff is friendly and prompt, and the wait time is what you would expect for freshly made pizza. We arrived just before noon on a Saturday, before it started getting busy and had plenty of choices for seating. We ordered the special, fried green beans. They tasted good, but were close to $ 5 and did not come with very many for that price. I ordered the Pollo Loco pizza, which was heavy on garlic flavor but different and very good. The 10″ is a good size for a personal pizza. The rest of the table had a larger meat pizza that they said was equally good. I recommend it to others as a must try local spot!

Had lunch. Great beer selection along with buffalo chicken wrap. Thumbs up!

Love this place! The pizza is top-​notch and the decorations are quirky and fun.

Pizza smells amazing! But they take FOREVER on a Friday night. We waited an hour for carry-​out. Some tables waited for 1.5 hours to get seated and get food.
Staff was fairly friendly, although got a few snarky comments from their college staff.
Need to improve throughput.
I’d probably come back but not on a weekend night.

I love this place! Excellent pizza every time cool laid back environment and a great selection of beer. I love the pizza crust always leave pleased. a little pricey but you get what you pay for

Love this place! The pizza and pesto feta cheese sticks were excellent, but the lack of service from our waitress kept me from giving them 5 stars. They charged me .25 cents for sampling a beer… no big deal but I thought that was pretty funny!
My tip: Do not ask for extra cheese, the pizza is loaded with it.

Excellent pizza, the crust/​bread of pizza is amazing. Glad they moved from their former tiny space across the street. They are not open Monday or Sunday which is absolutely insane. OPEN your doors and let people eat and drink beer/​cocktails!

This place is absolutely amazing. The look is very comfortable with its hodgepodge of random tables and chairs. The food is excellent with its gourmet pizza and fresh ingredients Bluegrass is definitely one of those diamonds in the rough and not something you expect in a small town. They also have a rotating beer line up featuring some of the best microbrews of Kentucky. The staff was pleasant and the owner was more than willing to share his beer knowledge. It was a blast
