Apparently this place is pretty dang good. But the sweet potato empanadas will steal a woman’s heart. Bad date idea. #imissyou.

Fantastic! The food was amazing. Genuinely nice people and laid back atmosphere. I am especially fond of the Vietnamese sweet cream coffee. Delicious vegan and vegetarian meals and scrumptious gluten free desserts. Something for everyone. My new favorite place.

Great place. DESCRIPTION: Family run pesco-ovo-lacto-vegetarian restaurant with a Cuban flair. Feels a bit like going over to someone’s house for dinner. Very non-formal atmosphere with eclectic(quirky?) décor. Limited hours(not open during evenings). PROS: Food is ALWAYS delicious — I mean DELICIOUS, particularly soups and empanadas. Everything is scratch made Menu is very descriptive and accurate Very friendly service /homey Coffee is very good. Chai is FANTASTIC Family friendly atmosphere Easily the most interesting restaurant in a 25 mile radius. CONS: Sometimes run out of food(eg empanadas) NEUTRAL: Sometimes food takes a little while to get ready — but not always All-in-all, highly recommended. If you’re in the area and don’t want the usual burger and fries or «italian»(which make up 90% of restaurants in the area), try this. If it’s too late and they’re closed, Johns Asian is another winner.

Go here! Driving cross country and stopped for gas to find this was the most interesting place place in Danville. Easy to find. Food=Bomb! Quiche was like to bursts of flavors, mouthwatering. empanadas were delicious too. The BESTPART was the almond TORTE! So so so mouthwateringly good! Espresso brownie was good. Iced coffee had great flavor and the service was a really cute blonde chick! Would recommend– home made and coffee shop vibe. Good pasties home made food. Done.

Don’t be deceived by the simple exterior– this place is awesome! The staff is incredibly kin without being intrusive. The menu is expansive and varied(Vietnamese, Mexican, Cuban, Thai) in all the right ways. The coffee is excellent and the offerings for vegans and vegetarians will please even the hungriest meat-eaters. Try it!

Really good food! Definitively coming back with my family! The owner is really approachable and the food is on point. Great variety of dishes to satisfy all palates. Their coffee is also to die for. I had the P6 and my wife had a quesadilla. We also ordered the corn fritters.

Was stopping by and was intrigued by the vegetarian menu. The place is cozy, there’s a small stage for music performances. Service was amazing and food was as well. We had the puffers, chai, Belgian hot chcolate, all of which was on point. Highly reccomended

I have been here twice in the last few months and was pleased both times. I came with a crowd right before they were closing, and they could not have been more accommodating. We all tried each other’s food. The portobello fries were light and delicious, the kings and peons salad was a large bowl of fresh local veggies with multiple crab cakes and shrimp. I got a bite of one of the grilled cheese sandwiches. Perfectly fine, but did not compare to the puffer stuffer. That thing was freaking amazing and unexpectedly came with a salad. I have been craving one ever since. We also sampled the empanadas and loved the green chili cheese. And — we got to play trivial pursuit while we waited for our meal!

Brews is my favorite restaurant in the area. The food is high quality and cooked with love. Chef Lisa makes awesome homemade soups and there are plenty of choices on the menu. The café is mostly vegetarian and offers vegan choices as well. The non-veg choices are fish. Plenty of people who aren’t vegetarians *love* the food here. One of my favorite attributes of the restaurant is that they cater to gluten free diners. They carry gluten free wraps and are aware of food allergies. This would be a good place to dine if you have a dairy allergy as well. The coffee drinks are divine & the atmosphere is great. Brews also caters & they make fabulous cakes. You’ve gotta see their Facebook page and check out their cakes! They even do gluten free cakes. And they are SO delicious!(And sometimes they have GF desserts in their case for diners!) I really appreciate having a place in town where I can get quality, healthy foods. And I love that they are family owned and they are just truly good people!

I was pleasantly surprised by Brews N Bytes. I didn’t expect to find such a great vegetarian restaurant in Danville. During my first visit we had the quiche and puffer stuffers and they were delicious. The staff was warm and friendly, and the restaurant environment makes you feel like you’re at home. I’m excited to go back and try some of their specialty coffees.

The food is really good, but they were changing menus so the options were limited. They make a slamming grilled cheese. The service could be a bit more professional, and it is BYOB which is okay, but they should let people know on their website and provide directions to the nearest liquor store. The peanut butter and banana cake is amazing(and I hate bananas and will not normally eat anything with bananas).

We walked in here after leaving knoebels in search of vegan dishes. I tried to get there before 930, as Unilocal said they closed at ten, and we got there at 925. The place was mostly empty and I asked the young lady if they were still open, and she said they actually weren’t. I asked if she knew any other places that had vegan food in the answer and then she called into the back asking if they would cook for one more table, and the response was positive. Elated, we sat down and ordered. I got the Neptuna wrap(I’m not the vegan), a tuna wrap with basil lime mayo and lettuce and tomato. It was quite enjoyable. I liked how they dusted the wrap with old bay, as well as the pickles on the side. Really happy that they were willing to cook for us! Thanks!

Very friendly family staff. Fun, colorful décor. Healthy, yummy food options. Know that it’s 100% vegetarian — NO meat offered that I saw. My meat-loving son had to settle for a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich, which he liked.

Nice place to stop off rte 80. P panini was particularly good. Service is a bit slow paced but they won’t rush you. Came on a weekday lunch and there were not a lot of customers. Food came out promptly. Vietnamese coffee was very good. It would be a lovely place to while away some time. Eclectic furnishings. Check out the sign in the bathroom– hint –pig Latin referenced

An amazing find off Route 80. So rare to discover a place on the road this healthy and filling. Highly recommend you drive the extra two miles to avoid McDonald’s. Restaurant is mostly vegetarian(don’t let this put you off — food is tasty), but they also have shrimp dishes, eggs and other non-veggie choices.

We pulled off the interstate looking for a quick lunch and we’re thrilled with this place. Huge menu of paninis, wraps and sandwiches. We had the soup of the day and paninis. Everything was excellent. The service was fast and friendly. Will be making this a regular stop on our trip!

The Perez Family runs a cozy and friendly café and restaurant. We had lunch with our two kids on the way to Knoebels amusement park. The extensive menu includes vegetarian and seafood options. I had the Figlio, a grilled provolone and goat cheese sandwich with fried onions and fig chutney. The roasted garlic and squash soup I added on the side was good, but a little watery. The kids enjoyed their smoothies and my wife thought the veggie burger wrap was fresh and satisfying. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the service extremely friendly. We will return next time we are in Danville.

Home away from home(except that the food is way better!) Wonderful soups, quiche, «Pufferstuffers” – that have to be experienced rather than described, wraps, salads, and Cuban coffee creations, to name just a few things. Better yet is the atmosphere: warm and friendly family that makes you feel welcome from the first time you come in.

Save your co-workers from going to Wendy’s or Subway. Please. Please. Please. It’s 2013(as of the date of this review) not 1999 — the year of try something new and do something awesome for yourselves! Okay, so you’re just hungry… well Brews N’ Bytes is definitely one of the most awesome cafes in the area to grab lunch or dinner. The café seems to be primarly vegetarian with a surprisingly amount of vegan offerings as well. There is quite a few items so the omnivores won’t be left out — so no need to shy away if you would like to bring a date here either. The staff is gregarious and efficient as to always making your stay an awesome and uplifting one. There’s also open mic nights here which I would be inclined to check out sometime.
