Devil Mountain Summer Camp At Athenian School

This camp was heaven for my son… The second year in a row. Great program. Engaging. Great staff. Accommodating administration. Food allergy knowledge and training. Fun field trips. Swimming daily. He did the sports camp and loved the games. Made great friends. Learned catchy camp songs. The summer camp experience you want for your kids.

My boys have been going to this camp for two years now and this one is amongst their favorite camps.
Let me start by saying that I love this campus. The first time I dropped off the boys was a fresh summer morning which was a bit misty. Felt like we were in a Harry Potter movie. Fun!
Anyway… We usually do the Sports Camp because my boys are active. They are the ultimate judges and they love it. They also swim every day which is a great inclusion of activities.
The camp also offer meal services which saves me time in the mornings as you can get breakfast and lunch included. Prices are reasonable as well.
Net net, my boys come home tired, which is exactly what I want and expect from a Sports Camp!

The camp was extremely disappointing. The camp I signed my kids up for was for the younger children — maybe older kids’ camps are better. Don’t know where to start. We have lived in five major US metropolitan areas — NE, SE, SW and never had much a bad camp experience. We recently moved to the area from FL. We arrived Monday morning at Athenian campus, no one (Athenian Camp staff) knew where we should report. Camp was over crowded — did not meet the promised counselor to student ratio. Counselors were all gathered together in one corner and were chatting. No one paid any attention to us as we walked in. And administration refused to discuss my request for a refund. Items were stolen out of my son’s backpack. My son got lost during the day and no one helped me. Kids and I were scared to go back. Very very disappointing.
