Jennifer is one of those true «finds». She has taste. She is very honest. She is helpful, even when she has nothing to gain financially. She looked for lighting, furniture and e even bedding that would complement my choices, all at discounted prices even when she would not receive a commission. In an era when it seems everyone is «selling» something, usually themselves, here was a person that I found to truly respect and care about her clients. She goes way out of her way. This would be very important in and of itself but she is a very good at interior design. She has an eye for the right lines, the right fabrics and color, the right «ambiance» that fits the client. She is a rare combination of intelligence talent, and integrity. She makes a room beautiful without «breaking the bank» by a smart sense of aesthetics and practicality. I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She is truly a «find».

We were referred to Jennifer at J. Helms Interiors a couple years ago by an acquaintance. We needed someone to assist us with purchasing window treatments for our new home. We met with Jennifer and she told us about the Hunter Douglas line that she represents. She worked closely with us to select window treatments for our brand new house that wasn’t completed yet, which was no easy task since we had to wait for construction to progress to do measurements, etc. Jennifer was easy to work with and we are very happy with our window treatments. We chose wood blinds for our downstairs windows and honeycomb shades for upstairs.
This past spring we decided to finally decorate our master bedroom. We contacted Jennifer and she assisted us in decorating our master bedroom, master bathroom, and master closet. The scope of the project included selecting and designing a closet organizer for our large master closet, choosing paint for all of the walls, having custom shelving built in bedroom and bathroom, having crown molding installed, new window treatments including natural woven shades and draperies, new bedding, and various furniture items including an entertainment armoire to hold our flat screen TV, foot stools, a reading chair, a bench for the closet, and various accessories. The project ended up being quite in depth but overall we were impressed with Jennifer’s organization skills. At the beginning of the project we discussed our wants and needs for the master suite and she presented us with several options she thought we would like. We selected a scheme and began the project. She sourced a carpenter and painter for us, as well as a professional organizer to design the closet. Jennifer was very good at listening to our ideas and questions and coming back with something she thought we would like. Toward the end of the project there were a couple missteps with items we had ordered (window treatments, some shelves) but she addressed all of our concerns and eventually got the issues resolved.
Overall we would recommend Jennifer to anyone who needs a color consultation or some interior decorating work done in their house. She is very pleasant and friendly to work with and seems committed to making her clients happy.
