Closed :(Out of business. The staff and cupcakes here were amazing! I knew the bakery was closed, but since the owner is local, I came to the storefront hoping someone might have her contact info in case she bakes out of her home. Hope she opens up a word of mouth, special order cupcake service one day. .. .

I’ve placed a treat basket online from one of chocolate dipping shop for my boyfriend to be delivered on Valentine’s Day, but due to the weather, the order can’t be shipped. I have called almost every stores around Danville on Valentine’s day to deliver on the same day, but no one was willing to deliver on 2÷14÷14 with last mins order except for Junebug’s bakery. Thank you so much! What an exceptional customer service! I’m so impressed.

I also purchased 6 cupcakes from Living Social and ordered 6 different flavors — none of them chocolate — I tasted each them within 24 hours of picking them up. I was really disappointed in the cakes. They were all incredibly dense and dry. I’ve tasted other upscale cupcakes from Sprinkles in Los Angeles and others and I expected these to be similar. The cakes are not at all sweet– very bland — which didn’t bother me so much since the sweetness of the frosting compensated for it. I hope my comments as well as some of the other patrons helps the bakery understand what their customers prefer. I really wanted to like these — but I just can’t.

Wasn’t too impressed. Ordered 3 cupcakes. The cake was dry… didn’t seem it was worth $ 3 a piece. I also had went in to inquire about prices and design for my son’s 1st birthday cake but she didn’t seem too interested/excited about helping. She seemed busy because she was working on another cake. I ended up going with someone else, which i spent $ 345 for a 3 tier + 3D topper + smash cake + delivery + all three tiers was absolutely delicious. Got a lot of compliments from guests!

Love this place! My favorites are the mini cupcakes especially anything with cream cheese frosting, blueberry muffins, and the spinach croissants. This place is a hidden sweet spot and offers a variety of pastries in addition to the delicious cupcakes and custom order cakes. Definitely worth searching out over the neighboring Starbucks.

Super cute little Bakery but I found the Cupcakes here were very hit or miss. As well as Cupcakes(roughly 12 flavors daily) there is also e a small selection of other baked good — Cookies, Dessert Bars, Scones along with various hot beverages. Having the recent Groupon my Husband and I got 6 Cupcakes to share and found that each of them were very dense. Now reading the owners comment to the most recent review apparently this is what they are known for, had I known this beforehand I doubt I would have visited as the Cakes are more like Muffins. Personally I think Cupcakes should be light and fluffy. Those sampled: — Sweet Lemon( ). Nice light Lemon flavor, frosting not too thick. 3⁄5 — Vanilla Berry( ) — The Jam filling was a nice surprise but much needed as the cake itself was bland, flavor in the frosting wasn’t strong enough. 2⁄5 — Dulce De Leche( ) — Not enough Caramel flavor here, the only Caramel was the filling and the tiny drizzle on the top(Cake itself was Vanilla). Mascarpone frosting was ok. 2⁄5 — Anna Banana( ) — Nice Graham cracker crust, way too dry. 1.5÷5 — Chocolate Caramel( ) — Our least favorite and most went in the trash. Tasted like Coffee??? The Caramel filling made the whole Cake very soggy and unappetizing. 1⁄5 Regular pricing for Cupcakes are $ 3 for regular sized and $ 1.75 for Mini. Where I would give the Cupcakes 2 stars I have taken into consideration the cute store and nice staff that work here and awarded 3 stars overall. The Cupcakes are not labelled in the case and the young girl serving was very good at describing each one to us and packed them up with a smile. *TIP* Now that the Holiday’s are fast approaching they also offer Holiday Pies in Pumpkin, Dutch Apple and Mixed Berry Cobbler flavors.

Not too crazy about their cupcakes. I got a large pumpkin cream cheese and two of their mini’s I believe one was lemon and the other chocolate caramel. The cake itself was a bit dry and I could not eat the frosting, it was very greasy.

My Grand Daughters first birthday, and I’m in charge of getting the cake, and it must be a Dr. Seuss thyme. I was given a picture, and sent on my way. I went to Junebug’s bakery and showed them the picture of what I needed. They said no problem, when do you need it. I picked it up on time, and the cake is still talked about today. I wanted to put a picture of it in here, but I can’t figure how to to that. if you could see the picture, you would be so impressed. Can’t wait for birthday # 2

After reading all the mixed reviews, I purchased 2 deals from Livingsocial and was very disappointed. The cupcakes were not made of fine quality. They were very dense and tasted doughy. The hours during the week days were inconvenient to working people since they closed at 3pm. The store is tucked away in a corner and parking was scarce. I was hoping to support a local business, but with the quality I received, it was really hard to want to go back.

I purchased 2 «6pc» cupcake vouchers from living social. So I’ll be editing this review as we eat these cupcakes. I’ll start by saying customer service was great. However when I checked the website to check service hours the website states 6am-5pm. So when I drove from antioch to Danville to pick up some birthday cupcakes for a friend, it was rather annoying to find a new hours sign on the window. Closing at 3. Being that i got there at 4:15. Junebugs is a super cute atmosphere with simple décor. Small and kind of difficult to find since its kind of hidden. Parking doesn’t make it any easier to access. This place seems to have a following but i imagine being more street accessible wouldn’t hurt. I ran into some issues with my living Social vouchers but the lady was quick to problem solve and was good at small talk. Very personable. Now like I said we have a few cupcakes to get to to review. But I did have the vanilla vanilla today. I though ill start simple. Frosting wasn’t too sweet and not too rich. topped with seasonal sprinkles The cupcake dough I found to be pretty dense. More of a sugar cookie cookie consistency. VV gets 2 stars Which is unfortunate because I had high expectations seeing that cupcakes here are $ 3 each. And that I drove 25 miles each way twice. Adding to review, the PB cup tastes better. Maybe because its chocolate and you expect a richer denser texture. I don’t usually like chocolate but it seems less dense. Not overly sweet. PB gets 4 stars . I certainly hope my friend enjoys the ones I purchased for her birthday treat. I think the variety of flavors offered is great. But i’m hoping to see a lighter fluffier texture in the rest of the cupcakes. I’ll keep you posted.

I ordered my baby shower cake about a month before the party. I came with quite an unusual request and wasn’t sure what to expect. I am thrilled to announce my cake was beyond my expectations! It was delicious, we couldn’t get enough! So happy I went with a chocolate cake, with strawberries and cream cheese. Yuuuummmmyyyyy! The design turned out better than I had hoped for, it fit the theme spot on. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I went in to taste frosting to see what I wanted. They let me make my choices while keeping me grounded and not going too out of the box too much! Thank you to all involved in making my cake

5 stars across the board. Top notch customer service and to me that’s a deal breaker no matter how delicious your treats are. My favorite flavors are the Carrot and the red velvet. lemon is a close second! Oohhh and the berry flavor! Aaah i love them all. What I mostly appreciate about June Bug’s bakery is that even if you get one cupcake you don’t leave feeling ripped off. bc you’re full! These cupcakes are filling! I don’t know how she does it. June Bug’s also does custom cakes. seems like anything you can come up with their talented staff will whip up for you. I need to get over there for a cup of coffee and a breakfast spinach croissant one of these mornings before work.

GREATCUPCAKES… NOTSOGREATWEDDINGCAKES… Everything tastes good. logistics they’re not so good at. I showed them a picture of the cake I wanted. But the cake looked nothing like it! It sort of looked like a clown cake version of the picture I showed them. But if you look at their pictures, it makes sense. Their cakes are«fun» not«elegant». Responsiveness via e-mail was very very very slow. Which surprises me, because they have an ipad in store that they use to ring customers up. It took more time to go there and discuss things, but at least I knew someone was getting my information. We had a dummy cake(styrofoam with a wedge for cutting). Originally they said they would tell my maid of honor or the event coordinator(i gave them her name) where to cut the cake, but they didn’t tell ANYONE where to cut the cake! So I was picking at the cake until I found some chocolate behind the fondant. Pictures I’m sure looked awful with holes in the cake and styrofoam showing through. If you’re having a small, fun, cute, or non-elegant wedding(or family party, birthday, etc.) I’d recommend their cakes/cupcakes. But the elegant factor was missing. I don’t know much about cakes, but I know it didn’t look like the cake I asked them to make it look like. 1 star for wedding cake. 3 stars for cupcakes.

Staff was nice and the vibe is cool, but I didn’t love the cupcake. Had the Dulce De Leche, and while the frosting was good, the cupcake had the consistency of a biscuit, really doughy and thick. It isn’t the style of cupcake I prefer, so I wouldn’t by more cupcakes there. They were decorating a wedding cake while we were there and it looked magnificent.

Hands down one of the best cupcake bakeries I have tried. Highly recommended. Thank you fellow Unilocalpees! I wanted some cupcakes when my family and i were in the Danville area, I went to Unilocal and people liked this place. This bakery has become one of my family’s favorite cupcake places! The cakes are fluffy yet substantial and with delicate flavors. Frosting always tastes very fresh and compliments the cakes nicely. Personally i love the fruity flavors from this place especially(e.g. Lemon, Berry) Staff is very friendly whenever we go; my kids ask for little cookie samples and the staff happily gives them some. Easily 5-star.

I only had one cupcake, the vanilla berry. The cake itself was buttery and fluffy and the coulis was sweet, a little too sweet for my taste but it had a tartness that balanced it well. The frosting kind of fell apart but it was to be expected as we came in at the end of the day. Overall, I’d pay 2.50 for it but it cost 3 dollars.

What a sweet little find in downtown Danville! Tucked in the back of an alley-like shopping strip on E. Prospect Ave., finding nearby parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s worth it. To do a proper sampling, I thought ½ a dozen cupcakes and a few pastries would suffice. Yes, I ate them myself, stop judging. The cupcakes were okay and simply decorated. The brown sugar and carrot were good. They were generally a bit dense and too sweet for me, but at $ 3, at least you don’t feel cheated because they’re big and ½ of one is very filling. The higher rating, however, is for the pastries. OMGsh, they’re delicious! The spinach/feta and the ham/cheese were SOGOOD, as good as the ones we’ve had in europe… yes, that good. The gal helping me toasted the pastries for us. Both were buttery, flakey perfection. The ham/cheese was loaded with ham and I think she used Swiss. Utterly satisfying. For our next at-home moms’ group meet-up, I’ll order at least a dozen of those pastries for sure.

Junebug’s bakery carries many baked goods: cookies, cupcakes, cakes, crossaints, muffins, etc. small display area. not much standing area. eats: chocolate crossaint(2.5) –lots of chocolate, flavor in buttery, flakey crossaint spinach crossaint(4) –strong spinach flavoring, buttery texture of crossaint. crumbs: –crossaints pricey but worth it. –buttery crossaint probably pairs well with reisling.

I’ve tried a few cupcakes from this place now. I am amazed that Danville now has two cupcake places. Good or bad thing, I’m still deciding. First of all, both times I’ve been to the shop kid(s) in tow, the customer service has been great. Very friendly and very understanding. Tried the Samoa cupcake, the Brown Sugar, a Blondie mini, and a Red Velvet mini. Mini cupcakes often do not have the quality of their larger brethren, but these weren’t bad. I’ve had better Red Velvet. The Nutty Blonde was a little boring(vanilla cake with nuts in the icing). The full-sized cupcakes were easier to judge(more than one bite tends to do that). The Brown Sugar was a little disappointing. Not much more flavor than a basic vanilla cake. The icing was very buttery and rich. A little too much for me. However, the Samoa cupcake(chocolate with a graham cracker base and filled with caramel) was a total knockout. That was a really good cupcake. Since I bought all of these later in the day near their closing time, the cupcakes weren’t completely fresh and the icing had had time to get a bit crusty. They were clearly baked that day(but obviously in the morning). I would like to come back and try them out when freshly made. Edit: two more cupcakes have been ingested. Both filled. I love me the filled cupcakes. These were very good. Key lime pie and a raspberry lemon. I loved the flavor profile of the raspberry lemon, but the key lime pie was the more creative cupcake. Cake was built on top of a graham cracker crust. Yummy! I particularly like their frosting now as it is very smooth and light in texture and not overly sweet. On the flip side, you can tell it has a lot of butter. Raising this review up to four stars.
