Great little place to drink a glass of wine, or two, after dinner. They played live music when I was there. Not sure what days they normally do it. I went on a Saturday night. Pretty busy but still had places to sit. Not much high tables to sit and snack. We had sat at a booth. For snacks we ordered the Poké — 3⁄5 Thinly cut pieces. Some were too sweet, some were too salty. It was average to me I also had the beef,(forgot the name)(2⁄5) It tasted like Mongolian beef. Kinda soft but still chewy. Average

I like this place. I’ve been here a couple of times, and it’s a nice place to meet for a glass of wine. It’s a little overpriced — but hey, it’s Danville. The flights are pretty fun. I’ve had a couple of appetizers — the phyllo wrapped brie the last time. All have been good and nice to have with the wine. They also have a full menu, so I’ll be back for dinner one of these days. I noticed they have some happy hour specials which seem like a deal, so will be back for happy hour as well!

We come to the Wine Shop more so than the wine bar. We always have a great experience. They are always very knowledgable on all the different wines without being pretentious. They have introduced us to many different wines that we would never have even considered otherwise. The prices are terrific and they will match if you find it better somewhere else. This surprised me because I really expected a small wine shop to not be able to compete at the same price point but they really do give you a great price and there is always a volume discount as well. Definitely consider The Vine for your wine needs.

My date and I walked over there after dinner at the Italian place across the way – very convenient. It was a Tuesday night so it was pretty empty, but that was ok since we really just wanted to get a glass of wine. The World Series was on which was cool. They have a great selection of wine and he bartender was helpful in making a choice. I did really like that it was happy hour all night too. Cute place I think outside seating would have taken this place up a notch, but I suppose that is not super common in wine bars. I would recommend this place and go back.

Consistently delicious wine flights. Fair prices for large pours, yummy apps from bridges and very friendly service. I always look forward to coming here.

Nice place to grab a couple drinks after work or on weekend. Very nice place for a date spot. They have lots of room and some nice section against the wall for a small group of people, Not to crowed either I stopped by tonight with a few friends and had a great time ! This is definitely a classy place! Great place also for a work gathering! I would recommend this also for a casual meet and great place if you just wanna relax and get to know someone !!

Couldn’t write this fast enough, had a lucky moment with walking in on a day with a comparative vip wine tasting. JJ was nice and engaged me as soon as I walked in, I didn’t even plan on tasting but couldn’t say no when he was nice enough to welcome me and tell me what was going on in the first minute. Galatea Effect vs Sin Que Non? How the hell do you pass on that offer? Very close too. Great atmosphere and good vibes I’m coming back

Great food, nice atmosphere, has a live band at 8, variety of wines. Did get louder around 6:30, music upbeat and Happy Hour is 5 – 7. Tylar was friendly, courteous and upbeat, thanks for making our ladies night fun! If you want a crisp refreshing white wine try the cosa obra Sauvignon Blanc!

Well if Mrs. Doubtfire will dine at Bridges, I certainly figure checking out the wine bar is a worthwhile activity! Located on the corner and just a stones throw from the ever famous Bridges, the Vine is a little wine oasis. Comfortable and swanky diggs provide a nice atmosphere and the wine list can’t be beat. Here are some tips if you’re interested in checking out The Vine: ***Check out Happy Hour: Happy Hour runs from 4 – 7 Monday through Friday and they have some smokin’ deals. A wild mushroom pizetta for $ 6…Yes please! And I’ll take those nuts spiced with lime, kosher and togarashi for one buck… Actually bring me 3! ***Choices: You don’t have to commit at the Vine. Wines come in a 3 oz pour, by the glass or the bottle, so you can enjoy wine the way you wish. You can also choose one of their wine flights which are thoughtfully put together. ***There is live music at night: If you’re coming here with an old friend to catch up on life, or if you’re coming with folks that have trouble hearing, you might want to call and find out if there is live music going on. The music is always cool but the acoustics are pretty crazy here so it can be very LOUD. For a place with energy/ambiance, always awesome service, excellent food and wine that you can have almost any way you wish… Yay! I’m a fan!

My husband and I have been fans of The Vine, often stopping by for a bit of wine tasting and several appetizers or entrees. The quality of food and the customer service have always been hit or miss. There were definitely times of excellent service accompanied with delicious food… where we walked away talking about how we can’t wait to return. And other times(unfortunately), we found ourselves shaking our heads in disbelief because we had been waiting 15 minutes to be acknowledged for an order, wait another 15 minutes for our flights, and then an additional 40 minutes for sub-par food… All when it wasn’t even busy. Well, my recent visit this past Sunday evening will be my very last. And I’m pretty sure the other 9 ladies with me won’t be returning either. I had invited 9 ladies to join me for a post-Valentine’s day event so we could all indulge in some bubbly, some wine, and some food. Another reason we were looking forward to The Vine was(key word: WAS) the«Burger & Beer Combo» for $ 10.00, which is STILL advertised on their website as a Sunday and Monday special. Of course, when our server came to take our order, several ladies stated«We’d like the burger and beer special.» Her response — «Oh, sorry, we don’t do that anymore.» Ummmm… Excuse me!!! Why the heck is it STILL on your website as a special??? Yes, we were very much disappointed that they no longer have that special… but oh well, at least they have their happy hour food special all night long, right? WRONG. Even though the website shows that they feature Happy Hour Food all night long on Sundays AND even though their menu also has it inked in black & white… The server responded again with — «Sorry, we don’t do that anymore either.» I would like to point out that our server was quite pleasant throughout the evening and she contacted the manager who approved the happy hour food prices for us. Sadly, some of the ladies had to speak to her about their bill because it didn’t include the manager approved prices. Additionally, she was the only one working the wine bar which meant we all waited an exceptionally long time for our drinks, our food, our waters to be refilled, our bill, and finally to pay our bill. Thankfully, the ladies were all good sports… we all salvaged the night and had a great time despite the incorrect information on their menu and website. Regrettably, none of us will be returning. And if someone were to ask me which wine bar to check out… I would definitely recommend another place like the Cellar Door in Pleasanton or Va de Vi Bistro or Residual Sugar in Walnut Creek.

Nature Girl — Stephanie Johnson, she was a really good singer. Date night! Super cute place to hangout. Live music on Saturday nights and high top tables and lounge areas to sit. The crowd was an OK mix, I saw a couple of people my age(under 30). Most are 35+ yo, but you’re not coming here to find a new boyfriend, or at least I’m not, so to me it doesn’t really matter. I asked for a wine recommendation and got a sweet Riesling(Hexamer Riesling quarzit, Germany 2012), delicious!!! Since I only wanted a taste ½ for $ 6.5 was perfect. I REALLY like that their pricing structure remains the same whether you get a ½ glass or full(eg. $ 6.50 half glass and $ 13 full). Dessert wines were a little more expensive and it bothered me that dessert menu didn’t have the size listed.

Great happy hour place. My wife and and I are new to the area. We have been here twice and love it. It’s a bit pricey but it is in Danville. Nice selection of wine and small plates. We got the bre and it was great even though it was just 2 small bites. Cool place we like it.

Very cool spot in Danville. Great wine and vibe. Sometimes hard to get a seat, but that’s life. The live music is a nice touch, but it’s loud sometimes making conversations difficult. As for the wine store: meh… There are better options(Bevmo???)

We stopped by here to use a voucher for free wine tasting on a Thursday. I’d say the décor is nice, as is the space and seating arrangements. The crowd was a bit older than us, but that didn’t bother me too much. The wines we had were specific to the winery that was pouring for the tasting. The wines were fine, nothing that I normally would rave over. And since I have a little one at home, visiting a place like this requires effort to find childcare. So I’d say that my experience tonight was not quiet good enough for me to make the effort to return, unless someone was hosting a party or event here.

I have been here for happy hour a few times and really like the décor. I like the wine list. It’s slightly pricey for a flight and the food is good(it comes from bridges next door) The staff is sweet and they know their wines Sino always ask for recommendations. Nice place after work for a glass of wine or maybe a 1st or 5th date place ;)

If you like getting s**t-faced with a lot of upper class white folks on expensive wine this is the place for you. There is no end to the drunk and obnoxious bridal showers and«girls night out» skanks. It was also so noisy from the«acoustic» duo who turned up their amplifiers so loud that all conversation was impossible. The people that work there are super nice. Give them a big tip. They deserve it.

The Vine is a great place to meet up with friends to unwind from the work day. Solid 4 stars. Nice space, great service(seriously, how did our waitress memorize our entire order??), with Danville prices. Happy hour gets you two half glasses for $ 10. Great if you want to try more than one, but to me happy hour means something a little different. Thanks to the acoustics and all of the«happy» people, it gets quite loud in here, so be sure to practice your lip-reading skills!

Went to the vine to meet up with some friends. Did not realize you can get dinner there from Bridges! Once again everyone there was very out going and friendly. David the manager brought us a bottle of wine that was outstanding ! Our server was Adriana, they were busy, but she seemed to know when we needed our glasses full. Great service, will ask for her section again. Great food, wine and service! This might be my new spot for my friends and I on Saturday nights! Keep up the good work!
