Uptempo Tech is a fantastic place to expose kids to technology education and let them run in whatever direction they want. My daughter is loving her classes in Web Development, so we just booked another set. She has a web site mostly built out and has a myriad of ideas she still wants to execute(requiring a lot of learning in the process). The team at Uptempo is focused on real-world skills, not just fun and games(although they make it fun too!). They taught my daughter basic HTML structure, then had her build simple pages. Then they moved into planning out a site and wire-framing(starting to expose her to tools). Then they moved into more advanced construction, with more exposure to tools. It’s endless once you get going and if your child has an interest sparked, the educational value is immense! If your child goes in the 3D printing direction or any other direction they offer there, I’m sure the experience will be similar — a fantastic early education for any kid!

This is a great place for kids to learn about technology. My son has done 2 classes here(the 3D printing and raspberry pi) and will do a summer camp in several weeks. I love how he is learning skills that will help him in our ever changing technological world. This is by far his FAVORITE activity. Brian and his staff are so patient and knowledgable and they have a wonderful ability to make what seems very difficult very simple for these kids. I absolutely love that there is a place my son can learn about programming and robotics right here in Danville. My son is so excited about camp this summer!

Uptempo is great! Brian is super helpful and the follow up is great. We bought our Nest thermostats from Uptempo and the install was seamless and quick. We will definitely be buying from Uptempo again. Thanks Brian!

I checked out this new shop when they opened a few weeks ago and this past weekend. Brian, the owner, is passionate about technology and knowledgable. He went through the features of all his 3D printers and explained the differences/benefits of each one. Drones, wearables, and home automation(such as Nest Thermostats) are also sold here. They offer a variety of classes such as 3D printing, web coding, drones, video editing. Located in the Danville Livery next to Stride Rite Shoes and a few shops down from Jules Thin Crust Pizza. They can also host birthday parties. When I’m ready for a 3D printer, I’ll definitely be coming here to talk to Brian.
