THISPLACEISNOWCLOSED! So sad. Upon returning from our vacation in August, we saw that this great fro-yo place had papered up the windows and was gone. I confirmed with a Lunardi’s employee(where the shop is located) that the business was really gone and man, will I miss their banana gelato.

Wow… this location has seen a TON of turnover over the past few years… but I do hope this recent reincarnation is here to stay! Yogurtopia offers 6 flavors of fro-yo and 2 flavors of soft serve gelato. I did deduct one star for flavor rotation. I have been there a few different times now, and the flavors have not rotated. Their topping selection is vastly stocked with fruit, nuts, candies, dessert sauces, and even Cheetos?!? This place will certainly be a regular offender in the summertime round up of dessert options!

We’ve missed not having our gelato fix at this location and were really happy to see this new shop open on our visit Saturday night ! We found out they just opened the day before(4−15−11). After a lovely meal at Chow we strolled down to check out the new shop. The flavors are wonderful and the new owners are a delight! They are young marrieds, full of energy and so friendly. The supporting staff is equally wonderful. They’ve added fro-yo to their offerings in addition to keeping the delish gelato. Their Crème Brulee and Pistachio gelato are first rate. Paul offered a sample of the Honey Lavender(an unexpectedly wonderful flavor) as well as the Blackberry Cabernet(made with real Cab! and quite delish!) We will definitely be back and hope to see them for years to come!
