The owner, Phil, was very friendly. I didn’t get work done, but I can recommend the customer service.

I have been using this shop for a while. I have purchased 3 bikes and countless amounts of gear from them. I have to say that it is probably my favorite store of any type in the area. The people are friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly, they are trustworthy and dependable. They have fixed my bike countless times, and helped me out of many a jam. Phil, the owner, has spent his own time helping me get a refund on some wheels that i had fail (which were out of warranty). If you are looking for a bike, you can not do much better than here. Great people, and great bikes.

I’m still getting my head around how expensive cycling has become.

I went into the store looking for a bike for my boyfriend for his birthday. They were very helpful. I knew that I wanted a Hybrid, beyond that my only other requirement was it not be an «old man» bike. Oh, I also didn’t want a red bike for him.
So with those requirements out of the way they helped me get down to the really important stuff. How the bike would fit him, especially since he wasn’t with me. A bike with Shimano gearing. Something good for distance without going over my budget, helping me decide between brands. They even delivered the bike to me the next day since I didn’t have a bike rack on my car.
That was last year. I’ve since taken my bike in for a tune up. His has gone in for tune up. We’ve purchased accessories in the shop, and so far every experience has been great.
Oh, and it may help that I’m a dog person and I really like the two dogs that hang out in the shop. They are laid back, and it makes me feel calm. I also like that they never pressure me to buy something that is out of my budget or for a more serious cyclist. I ride my bike for fun, and as cool as some of the really high end stuff is right now they are honest enough to tell me that I really wouldn’t get that much out of a higher end bike.

Went here because I was hopeful this store was going to be a good place to find a new mountain bike. Plus, the stores in Pensacola where I live near didn’t have the size nor type of bike I was looking for.
Employees were moderately friendly, at best. Not very energetic in trying to help us find what we needed. I’m guessing it was the owner who helped me, and he seemed nice. Didn’t really offer any advice for the bikes I was looking at. And when I asked him a serious question, «Do you only have 2 stores?», he seemed to take real offense to that by replying «only two stores?!» and mentioning how hard it is managing 2 stores. Alright man, didn’t mean it that way but if that’s how you treat your customers then I guarantee you I won’t be coming back.
Prices were what we expected and they don’t offer military discount for all you active duty folks.
I also compared this store to a bike shop we checked out in New Orleans a week later, which blew this place out of the water as far as bike inventory and employee assistance goes. The place in NoLa was very willing to tell you about fitting on a bike and how you should have everything adjusted so you ride comfortable. They also took an additional discount off of a previous year Specialized mountain bike simply because we asked. This placed rocked compared to Eastern Shore Cycles.
