Great lunch today! The 1020 Mussels were fantastic. Flavorful and a nice portion. The White Cosmo was delish. Next time the oysters for sure! Hoping one of the Pearl Restaurants moves further north in Fairfield County. Great restaurant!

Excellent food. Loved the mussels bowl mariniere. The Tuna was excellent cooked. Keep a space for desserts they are also very good. Service was very friendly.

I would recommend starting with the fresh oysters(the waitress will even give you a oyster menu that identifies the different ‘notes’). Then, I would recommend the calamari or popcorn shrimp as an appetizer. My scallops came out a little rubbery but I’ve heard the Lobster Mac N Cheese, Crab Cakes, and Salmon/Tuna are great. Next time I come back, I’m going to try the Catfish Banh Mi(how fun!)

Nice place with outdoor tables. The company paid so price is not a problem. I had claim chowder, fried calamari and cobb? Salad not sure about the name) with shrimp and fried red pepper and naan. Salad is a little spicy, really good!

Boring & over priced. Staff have no personality. The restaurant is way to sterile, needs HELP!

Simply put, a trendy, overpriced seafood bar and bistro in Darien. Are there many other options for decent food or drinks in Darien… no, not really. Does that make this place an excellent restaurant or worth the arm and a leg you pay there… Definitely not. This is the kind of place where middle aged Darien yuppies with rather undiscerning palates drop dollars because it is convenient and they like being seen at a trendier place. The wine list is fairly strong here. The cocktails are weak and unimaginative. In fact they can’t get even the classics like my Manhattan or martini correct.(Far too much bitters and vermouth respectively). The apps are fine here. The quality of the seafood is passable but nothing really out if the ordinary… and certainly not for the price. I had the crab cocktail, the calamari and the charcuterie plate with work colleagues recently. Again fine, but with seafood it’s all about the quality of the ingredients and if they can get away with getting lower quality, less fresh items that taste and smell too«fishy» without anyone from Darien noticing or caring they why wouldn’t they? Instead head to Rowayton seafood for an incredible waterfront view and superior seafood. Or if you’re will to drive a little further, Westport also has several seafood joints way better than this one and equally pricey. But at least there with that price you’ll get something more worth it.

I’ve eaten here several times and intend to keep returning. Others I’ve brought have also really enjoyed it. Great selection and food(love the mussels in the cream sauce!), nice atmosphere without being stuffy, decently priced. Atmosphere can vary a lot from time to time, and if it’s really full it can be a touch too loud to hear everyone at your table, but most times I’ve been that has not been the case. I’m a fan.

My extended family has taken a Christmas tradition from NYC’s Oyster Bar and brought it to the burbs of Fairfield County, Ct. Yesterday, 46 of us descended upon Ten Twenty Post for the third year in a row to celebrate Oyster Day. As has been our tradition we congregated in the spacious dining area to the right of the front door. Manager David, and wait staff/chaperones Linny and Clara took incredible care of our crew. Fresh and delicious raw bar, hot foods and outstanding bar service made it seem like we had five servers taking care of us when it was only two. The team at Ten Twenty has made us feel like friends of theirs and the welcome is sincere. The oysters were amazing! Hynes family

As good as it gets. We stopped in Friday night for a quick bite and left just stunned how even the simplest meal could be so enjoyable. Like so many things in life, its the little things that matter and in this case it was that the kitchen split portions for dishes we were sharing. It is this little touch that so many, in fact, most places do not do. We are sharers. We ordered the wedge salad which could have been the best i have ever had. The crunchy fried onions drizzled on top were a perfect compliment to the fresh lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, blue cheese and dressing. The kitchen split this perfectly. We then had the unreal special 1020 mussels with a side of truffle fries. My only comment is WOW. And, the kitchen split the portions for us which was surprising but really appreciated. A truly thoughtful touch at a terrific restaurant with excellent service and a caring, ever-present owner. 1020 Post is a consistent winner.

Consistently well prepared, nicely presented, and flavorful dishes. They are suited to their community and its clientele — good wine selection, decent cocktails, and crowd pleasers like steak frites, mussels, and fresh seafood. The restaurant can get noisy, but you don’t go here for a quiet, intimate meal. You go to eat well and be social.

A very convenient spot for a great dinner and a glass of wine. Was in Darien at a client and went for an early dinner. Experience was very nice and I would go back when in Darien again. We ordered oysters, tuna and fried oysters to start. The oyster sampler was fresh and tasty with the appropriate accompaniments. The fried oysters were crunchy but also had a lovely taste, especially when combined with the mayo sauce… The tuna was fresh and the avocado on the side just right to accompany the tastes of the fresh fish. The tortilla chips were a little oily and could have been replaced by something more plain to allow more of the favors to come through. A spicy dip on the side also worked. Entrees were the lobster roll, Mahi Mahi and scallops with risotto. All were excellent. The staff and kitchen were very accommodating and made the lobster without the mayo, providing it not the side. Lots of lobster and lots of taste! The scallops were large and succulent and the truffle risotto was aromatic and complex. The Mahi was grilled, nice sized and perfectly moist and the chef accommodating on the choice of sides. The Brussels sprouts were deliciously grilled with light dressing allowing the favors to come through with no added stuff(I love Brussels sprouts). The coleslaw was light and the dressing moderate, again allowing more of the taste to come through. Dessert was large slices of mud pie and ice cream. Nothing special but tasty. A great experience overall. The four is due to great food but also great service and a most accommodating kitchen which really made the meal that much more enjoyable

Came here for brunch one Saturday in February. We had Bellinis to start. They were amazing! The other people I was dining with I was with knew the bartender so he gave us a free round of drinks, which was nice. I ordered their tuna burger. I thought it was very tasty. Add some extra spicy wasabi, and you’re golden. The burger came with fries, but I requested a side salad instead, which they had no issues with, and it was very tasty. Overall, I loved the ambiance and thought the service was great. The waiter ended up giving us another free Bellini, which was super nice. When we arrived at 12, the place wasn’t too crowded, but when we left at 2ish, the restaurant was pretty packed. I would highly recommend it for brunch/lunch.

Fresh bread with butter while you wait for your food. I’m a suckered for really good bread. Bowl of mussel with garlic bread and fries. You have 3 sauces to choose from, I opted for the Spicy tomato sauce. It was really flavorful. A huge bowl of mussels great to share as an app or as your entrée like what I did. The garlic bread was great with chunks of fresh garlic and even better when dipped in the sauce. Tried some of the crab cakes as well, quite flavorful and all crab not much filler. Great place after a train ride to town from Nyc.

Their oyster selection is a little overwhelming for someone with little experience with them. Our waitress gave us some great tips and we decided to try the east coast ones(FYI, they apparently tend to be more briny). The Fisher’s Island oyster were the best of the bunch, very flavorful. Their Bluepoint ones were quite bland. I also had the mussels with the spicy tomato sauce. I split the order with my boyfriend and felt very satisfied. The sauce was a little tinny but still yummy. They were cleaned very well and I didn’t notice any sand(huge pet peeve of mine). It is loud even if the dining room isn’t half-full but there’s lots of sunlight and the space is big so it doesn’t feel like the other patrons are on top of you. I did find the service a little slow for how busy they were. Lunch altogether was $ 70 for two people and we were stuffed at the end. We had 4 oysters each, a soup, split the mussels, and then, a dessert. I think it’s much more economical to try different small plates than to order their entrees(which seem quite pricey). Definitely will go back again to try more and would recommend it to my friends.

Conveniently located just off 95, Ten Twenty Post is a great alternative to fast food on a drive to or from RI. I enjoyed oysters and a quiche-type-thing before hopping back on the road. Good Greenwich people watching too…
